This is a real treat watching these latest live uploads, Metallica in 92, the peak in their live performances, peak of their albums was one album before with justice, that was it then, as far as I'm concerned.
Leper Messiah is such a classic and a song that should be played more live back in the black era.

Back in the day i was sad my parents don't let me go to the concert in 93, I was 12!! Saw them 2007 2009 and 2018, but this was their gold days!!!

i'm still wondering where all the footage is from the '92 metallica/gnr stadium tour. they had cameras in orlando....
they had cameras at every show. the problem is . VHS tapes were really expensive at that time (sarcasm) and they only used the cameras for the live video feeds at many shows.
realistically, if a band is not planning on releasing tons of dvds to document every single show , they don't actually record the concert. since that would require full audio mastering and mixing, plus going over thousands of hours of footage to make the final DVD of each show. in hindsight , they are correct somewhat since they were using broadcast quality cameras and those cost alot to operate and maintain. so that is why so far there are only a few professionally edited Black Album tour complete shows. San Diego 1 and 2 , and a few others.
@@LadyFairChildVideo but they recorded most of the shows with just the basic screen feed and raw audio from soundboard, so they obviously didnt do all the fancy stuff they did with the san diego/mexico shows, because that was not supposed to be official releases, but they in fact recorded them, i bet they even have the whole montreal 1992 show including the raw video of james suffering severe burns right after the fade to black intro.

This one was included on some version of the "Nothing Else Matters" single. The notes say:
"Take a listen to this glorious performance in front of 23.000 people before you begin to think everything is too easy. We usually make the odd mistake here and there individually, but in Graz we hit a new high (or low): This is a song we had played about 275 times before and we just wanted to share this version with all of you. It's off one of those famous soundboard tapes bands record to review their performance - We left out an entire major part of the song... you figure it out!!"

Los Angeles California February of 92 man good times for Metallica well unless you count the 89 show when they played master of puppets in full but yeah it still rocks man 🤘🏻
They started playing the full version during the ''poor re-touring me'' tour around late Reload/S&M period
It was something like the fifth show they'd played in L.A. in a 2 month period. So, they decided to give the crowd a special treat. Leper and the full foreign of Puppets. Add the instrument swapping on Evil. Great night.
