I think you did everything right when you insisted there was a problem being overlooked and they had to look closer. I'm glad Cece and Boo are doing well now, and I'm glad you are too 🙂❤️
@@CeceFamily I've learned alot from your channel, the best teachers are the ones who care! I had no idea small dogs were so prone to problems like this, but I know dogs hide pain well too so it can be hard to tell when something is wrong. I hope Cece got lots of cuddles from Boo and mom and dad while she was recovering ❤️
My 8 year old pom got his teeth cleaned for the first time, i just started to be financially stable this year, i got my dog a check up blood works x rays, allergy tests etc nothing alarming came out tho just found out he is allergic to chicken and needs to drink more water due to a small problem, we are redoing all his vaccinations too, he is doing great and will confirm when doing all the tests in January, i got him another companion my baby pom 4.5 month old, now my older is drinking more water from her plate and my younger drinks from my oldest, they are getting along amazingly. Dogs need budget plus need diet plan too, which we can look up on social media and with the vet's approval. I feel so blessed to be able to afford all these expenses easily, something i was not able to do 2 years ago.
Cece looks so much like my Daisy who passed away 5 months ago. We got her at 8 weeks and had her over 14 years. Watching her health decline at the end was so hard and I had a lot of guilt wondering if I would have done something different or found the problems sooner if she would still be alive. But know that it’s not your fault. These things happen sometimes no matter what we do. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss! We as dog owners always feel like it’s partly our fault for failing to notice the signs probably because our dogs can’t talk - the guilt will always be there no matter how hard we really tried - we will answer ask ourselves many questions: what could we have done, could she be saved if we found out about the problem sooner, etc. but eventually I think it’s important for you to remind yourself that you really loved Daisy with all your heart, did everything you could with the knowledge you had at that time and she lived 14 years full of love and care and I’m sure she would be up there in heaven feeling grateful for all that you’ve done for her and the life you had together. Stay strong! ❤️
@@CeceFamily Thank you ❤️ Right after she passed people would ask me if I would ever get another dog and I said no because it’s so hard to lose them. Well I was wrong. I got a new baby one week ago. He’s a 9 week old Orange Sable Parti Pom and my heart is so full. I’ve been binge watching your videos for puppy tips because it’s been so long since I’ve had one. You really do give great advice and he is doing amazing!!! So proud of the little guy.
Thank you for sharing about Cece’s dental problem. Your videos are really helpful. Bitsy is the first Pom I’ve ever had so learning about her behaviors and little quirks are so much fun. Thank you again for sharing!!
Cece and all her family.are wonderful, and I am sorry you had to endure this ordeal. You provided crucial information for all the families of small dogs to prevent further suffering. Cece is adorable and hopefully feels better.
Thank you so much, Kathryn! Appreciate your support! Cece is back to her witty self and is smiling happily (toothless smile😂) as I'm typing this comment 💕
You are a good Mom. My pom had 9 teeth removed to, and I had her teeth cleaned b4 too. Thank you for all infomation n I will also keep a daily log of brushing.
Thank you so much! I'm so sorry your Pom had quite a few teeth removed also - I know how you feel when you see her face so swollen in the first few days!

Ohmygosh I am crying for you 🥲 As a fur mommy, we try to do the very best for our babies and when something happens we feel we are at fault. CeCe is so lucky to have you as her mommy and has the best home she could possibly wish for 💕💕💕♥️♥️♥️
Awww yess you get it right? It's hard to not have the feeling that we're at fault when something happens to our babies 🥲 thank you so much though - you're so kind and sweet! ♥♥
Thank you for sharing this story, its a big help to all furparents. BE STRONG AND DONT ALWAYS BLAME YOURSELF, WE ARE HUMAN WE MAKE MISTAKE, BE POSITIVE AND MOVE ON YOU CAN ALWAYS HAVE 2ND CHANCES AND DO BETTER.
My Pom is getting a dental on July 6, so good to know this information. I adopted him 2 years ago and he is 9 years old, so I know he needs the dental done. I tried brushing his teeth but he wasn't used to it, so he didn't like it. We will try to do better. I'm not sure what they will find, but I'm sure he will need teeth removed. Thank you for your video and that CeCe is doing much better.
I feel you! 😢 It's not always easy to brush an older dog's teeth, it'll likely take quite a bit of time and require a lot of patience but you're doing the right thing by taking him to get his teeth cleaned. And thank you for adopting as well - you are amazing!! ❤️ I hope everything will go well with his dental and he'll be back with shiny & white teeth 💕
I cried watching this video because I heard the sadness in your voice. Don't be that hard on yourself. You are a perfect pom onwer. I know what it is to feel guilty each time our dogs are not well.
First of all, I just watched your video and can’t stop crying. Thank you for sharing this, my little Pom is 6 years old and looks like Cece. I’ll look for a dentist vet asap and ask for an x-ray. I live in São Paulo, Brazil and love your videos. Send you lots of love - you are an excellent dog’s “mom”.
Aww thank you so much! 🥺 please be sure to look for a vet that runs a thorough health check including blood work and further tests if needed to make sure it’s safe for your dog to go under anesthesia too! All the best for your little Pommie! 💕
Thank you for telling us about this even though it is painful. Many vets do not pay enough attention as well. I will take your advice for my new baby Pom. I found a very tiny dog toothbrush made in Japan and it is much easier to use than others I've found. By the way, I didn't need to use the cc because your English is very good! Thank you again.
Thank you so much for this video!! I'm so sorry you and Cece went through this. I really enjoy your videos, they're very informative. You're such a good dog Mommy, you did the absolute best you could to help Cece and now she's all better🥰 I'm really interested in having Pomeranians as part of my family so I subscribed to your channel to learn how to care for them before I make that big step. Looking forward to the products you will be offering and more videos!! Take care please 🥰
Aww thank you so much for your kind message! And thank you for being a responsible soon-to-be dog owner doing all the research before getting one! I wish I had access to a channel with Pom-related information like this when I first got my Poms too - and that's exactly why I created this channel ❤️
I think you should get a Pomeranian if these guys can raise two Pomeranians in the worst city in the world then anything is possible, and you shouldn’t have much to worry about other than the puppy phase. They live in a Third World country and are still able to raise these dogs quite well so you should be able to as well.
Thank you so much for this information, I'm going to get my first 8 week old pomeranian in a week and I will definitely follow your advice. This is my first pomeranian and I'm so excited, so please keep this type of videos coming there are super helpful.
Aww congrats on getting your Pomeranian puppy in a week! I'm super excited for you! 😍 We made lots of videos on how to take care of Poms and how to train them and such, we hope the videos would help you to navigate this "new job" of becoming a dog parent and make your life easier! More educational videos will be coming soon! ❤️
Poor little cece,it’s scared me when I saw the blood on her fur. My little Pom will come this weekend, your video help me a lot, Thank you! Which insurance did you buy for your puppies
Congrats on getting your own Pom! Let me know how it goes - first few days are gonna be tough but it'll get better don't worry! Hmm regarding insurance I'm afraid I can't name them here since I haven't had any success claiming any of my bills and they rejected all my claims on the basic of some "pre-existing symptoms" on his health records so yea can't really vouch for them lol! But if you have a new puppy with a clean health record, I think any reputable insurance company will work just fine! Make sure you check their reviews, and their terms and conditions very carefully to see what types of diseases they cover and if they have any limits (for example, some will cover dental work while a lot of others don't) before buying their insurance though! Best of luck!
Don't feel bad, you take good care of your dogs. Small dogs like Poms can easily have dental problems. I just less than a week ago put my second Pom to sleep. Both my Poms had heart failure. One made it to 15 years and the other 9 1/2 years. Love your fur babies while they are with you.
I’m crying.. thank you for sharing this. Cece is very loved. My pomeranian gotten diagnosed with periodontal disease at 1 year old even with teeth brushing. I was so surprised. Maybe it is common in pomeranians.
I'm so sorry your Pom got diagnosed with the disease at such a young age! 🥺 I would be so surprised too! Bad teeth must be a common thing in Pomeranian, maybe that's why they suggest not once but sometimes twice a year dental cleaning for these pups 😥
Aw, I didn’t know about this. Not sure how I didn’t see it, but I’m glad you posted it. I hope Cece is doing well again, and YOU DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. You’re an amazing Pom parent. Easier said than done, but I hope you stopped beating yourself up.
Aww you brought tears to my eyes. I gotta check on Bennie. I will mos def forward this video to Bennies mom. I know have a lil shitzu too (well my daughters) her name is HONEY and OMG I SOOO ADORE them. They both bring me SOO much joy and happiness! Glad Cece is doing better. ❤️
Thank you & and yes I hope your little cutie will never have to go through this so he can continue to eat all types of food in the world ❤️ Cece can only eat softer food now 😅
Thank you for this video 🙏🏼 I had this exact problem with my bichon havanese, worst nightmare. Always better to prevent rather than have to treat the problem. Best of health for your babies 🙏🏼❤️
I'm so so sorry your bichon havanese had to go through something similar! 😢 Must be so hard for you during that time! 🥺 Thank you for sharing your own experience and yes I agree 100% that prevention is better than cure! 👏
Thank you for sharing your story about Cece. I have a 6 month Pomeranian Puppy who has 2 sets of teeth. I am getting him a dental in July. This was the soonest I could get him in. This problem is hereditary . I hope Cece will be okay. ❤️🐶
You're doing the right thing by getting him the help he needs in a timely manner! ❤️ Your little guy is blessed to have a Pom mom like you! I think you found a good vet who's smart enough to know the danger of having 2 sets of teeth to recommend extractions just right when his adult teeth are erupting so I'm sure your pup is in good hand and good thing is he will be much less likely to suffer from periodontal disease after removing those troublesome teeth!
@@CeceFamily Thank you. I have 3 Poms, 1 Chihuahua and a Standard Poodle. The Poms are so much fun. I was wondering why he was chewing up everything. Poor Guy. He is so adorable. 😍

This was such an informative video. I have a one and half year old Pomeranian and I try my best to brush her teeth but she gives me such a hard time. after seeing this video, I am going to make sure she lets me brush her teeth!
I have 2 poms. You are a great mom. Look into feeding raw. Raw bones help clean teeth. Turkey necks, chicken wings, always raw can be a great treat for them. Thank you for sharing your pretty babies.
Thank you so much for making this video and I am so so sorry that Cece had to go through this. Please don‘t blame yourself! She‘s no longer in pain and that‘s all that matters. Also, how many times should I take my dog to a professional dental cleaning?
Thank you for your encouragement! 🙏 Ideally, it's recommended that dogs should get professional dental cleaning once a year starting from the age of 2. Small dogs with overcrowded teeth might require more frequent cleaning though but generally once a year is good! I think the vet said something that made a lot of sense to me, she said that dogs are just like human, we brush our teeth twice a day but we still need to go to dentists twice a year to prevent dental problems. So in an ideal world, dog's teeth should be brushed daily and cleaned yearly ❤️
What a heartfelt and informative video. Thank you so much for sharing your difficult story in order to help all of us! You guys are such wonderful doggie parents and I have been really inspired by how you brush their teeth daily. Even when you do everything right, you still can’t prevent genetic problems - but your wonderful care of Cece helped slow the effects of her dental disease and helped you avoid wrong treatment. Every time you look at Cece, see her look saying thank you for trusting your instincts and getting me the help I needed! ❤️
This video brought me to tears as I remember so well how I felt last year when I took my 9yr old pom, Carmi for dental cleaning. When I fetched her I was told they had to remove 3 of her teeth. The sad part is that her breeder told me I don't need to brush her teeth if I give a specific brand of dry dogfood. When I started doing researched I came across your video"s... I have learned SO much from it. HUggs and kisses from Carmi to Cece.
Aww I'm so sorry I know exactly how you felt! 🥺 It's sad to hear that the breeder is the one spreading false knowledge 😰 On a brighter note, Carmi is doing incredibly well to only have lost 3 teeth at the age of 9! ♥️
I can’t imagine what you’re feeling, I really hope you don’t blame yourself because this isn’t your fault. Thank you so much for sharing, I hope you and cece are feeling better! 🥺😢
Thank you so much! It’s been hard to get rid of the guilt if I’m being honest since I look at her and how her mouth doesn’t look the same anymore everyday but we’re both feeling much better by now! ❤️
Thanks for sharing this, this must've been so hard and scary for you. Cece and Boo are really lucky to have you as their mom. Hopefully this information can prevent some dogs from getting bad dental disease.
Thank goodness 😅 she’s doing good 🙏 I have a male but lucky he is doing good 🙏🙏 I think pom. have this problem, lucky U find out and save her life, My Billy is 7 yrs but lucky he is doing good… Wishing Both kids have long life in good health ❤️❤️❤️👍🙏
Thank you so much, Jessica! 🙏🏻 I’m so glad that Billy is doing well at the age of 7 and still have all his teeth - you must have taken a great care of him ❤️ I hope and pray that he stays that way all his life 💕
Thank you so much for this video! This made me realise how important it is to clean my pom's teeth, it was a bit of a wake up call for me, so thank you for that! I can't imagine what you went through with Cece. Sending you lots of love to you and your poms xx
Me too. My Pom absolutely HATES getting her teeth brushed and struggles against me when I try, but watching this renewed my vigor to keep at it until she gets accustomed. I would rather struggle with her now than pay the price later.
I have a party pom n had surgery too not all n had same thing now after 5 yrs he gets bad breathe n I have to keep him on antibiotics every month from now on bad breathe means infection his still bleeds if I brush w cloth I feed him soft food she will be ok don't be said ❤
Thank you for this I just got a new pom her gums are bleeding. I wasn’t aware they needed dental cleanings. I will have to schedule her some yearly appointments for dental care she’s only 4 months 😭
Oh don't worry if she's only 4 months old she's most likely bleeding because her baby teeth are falling out as permanent teeth begin to erupt! At 6 months, all of their permanent teeth will fully erupt and that's when you should establish a daily routine of teeth brushing and bring her to a dental cleaning by the age of 2! ♥️
My Pom lost all her teeth. She was only 2 when I sent her for a cleaning and the vet took most of her teeth out. She was shaking when I picked her up so much. Unfortunately even with cleaning she lost all her teeth. She never had bad breath. She eats wet dog food, her tongue hangs out, she will be 13 in April, and thank God is otherwise healthy. She is the smartest, best behaved dog I ever owned, and I am so blessed to have her. She copes well for not having teeth.
I'm so sorry she lost all her teeth so soon! I think some of them just happen to have bad teeth genetically. I'm so glad she's still thriving without teeth though - that gives me so much hope! ❤️
Thank you so much, Tiffany! ❤️ I was really going back and forth not really sure if I should make this video as it was super painful to look back but I'm so glad I did for the benefits of the greater community and that you found it helpful! 🙏
Watching this video broke my heart! Seeing your pain and suffering from this clearly something that could have happened to any of us! You are a caring and loving mom! Thank you for bringing dental care to our attention! You are a wonderful pet mom to share your experience with us! Yes, many breeds are prone to dental issues! Great video!
Thank you sweetie! ❤️ I bet she sounds just like her name! 💕 I agree I do not like med overuse either it comes with many side effects so I always prefer a natural treatment whenever possible! 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this information, try not to beat yourself up over and over...you didn't intentionally want it to happen and now you and everyone who watchs this video can learn. You did a really good thing by making this video and sharing very important things that you learned and others should too!
Aw I'm glad it helps! Yea if it has been a while since she last had her teeth cleaned, I think it's a good idea to ask the vet to check her teeth and see if she's due for any cleaning soon and do all the necessary tests prior to the cleaning to make sure it's safe to proceed with the anesthesia
I've always been able to brush my poms teeth but I just rescued a pom 6 months ago and will not let me near his mouth at all. The rescue already took care of his teeth but he will not let me near his mouth with toothbrush. So, I give him Greenies everyday and am trying to train him to "like" toothbrushes. But he is a smart pom and won't come near me when I am holding it.
That’s great that you’re giving him a dental chew daily in the meantime ❤️ It’s not always easy to train a rescued dog to accept teeth brushing and it will likely take a bit longer but I’m sure he’ll eventually get there as you keep training him to get used to it and as you gain his trust more! ❤️
You did everything you could given the information you had. You kept up on the daily brushing and you noticed the bleeding and looked for a vet who could get her in
my dog's teeth hardly need cleaning after I started her on a mostly raw meat-only diet. She is thriving and seems to have a new level of energy like a much younger dog. I think plants and processed dog food contribute to teeth and gum issues. Same as with humans.
Thanks for the video, and sharing your experience. Both our previous Poms had dental cleanings and one of them always had problems after that, and we were afraid to go back for it. for life of me, i couldn’t understand why you need to be put under for cleaning, but i’m not a vet. This was really good info to know. Our Casper is 14 months old now and we are keeping an eye on him. Our other Poms stayed with us for 14-16 years respectively, with the one who had problems with anesthetic later we found he had CHF, and not much you can do on that. (small dogs and Poms especially are prone to that and Collapsed Trachea, which the oldest suffered from. They are beautiful Poms, and glad you did your research and got CeCe the help she needed. They do become like family to us. Wanting the best care is important. Much ❤️ and (づ^ل͜^)づ to all and our Pom family is thankful your Poms are doing much better. And your English is great. blessings. from South Carolina
Thank you so much for your comment! ❤️ I'm not a vet either but I imagine it would be incredibly tough for a dog mentally and physically to be under restraint with their mouth open for an hour. Also they're scaling and cleaning the teeth with sharp tools that could potentially damage their gum if they move around. Most importantly, from my research, during an anesthesia-free dental cleaning, no dental X-rays could be taken and they couldn't go below the gum line to clean if the dog has deep periodonal pockets or if teeth need to be extracted, making the dental cleaning almost pointless 😢 Also thank you for sharing your experience with your other Poms as well! Do you mind going into more details sharing your experience with a Tracheal collapse dog and what we could do to make their lives better if they have it? Did he end up having to undergo a tracheal ring surgery? We'd always love to learn more from experienced Pom owners like you! And yes unfortunately some dogs have underlying health problems that make it unsafe to undergo anesthesia such as CHF that yours had :( I believe that's why a health exam prior to anesthesia is important! At my vet, if a dog is over 7, on top of the blood test, I believe the dog is required to take additional tests such as chest X-ray to make sure they don't have any cardiac problems.
@@CeceFamily Our oldest Pom ( Linsey) was the one developing the CT. It seemed to (coincidence or not, unsure) act up when we had her and Lil Ricky at a vet/boarding place while on vacation in FL. They stayed their before and was SILs vet and knew in hood hands. By this time Lil Ricky was on meds for his CHF for maybe 2 years and Drs said maybe 3-6 months. (different story, but tied in). Anyhow. Ricky was having collapsed and it was frightening. His meds were eating away at his kidneys. It was either his heart or kidneys were going to go, Dr told us matter of tine. He seemed fine when we dropped them off at the boarding place as they always stayed together. And somehow, when Lil Ricky looked back at us before going in back, wife and i both knew “we may not see him again”. And 1/2, way into our vacation, Got call from Vet late at night that Lil Ricky had passed. (He was my wife’s dog, Lindsey was mine). Casper (my pic now) a bit of both. Anyhow- back to the CT. When we went to get Lindsey, she seemed fine till she got home, other than was lookng for Ricky all over the place. It was tough. and then she starting “honking noises” which we weren’t sure was “kennel cough” or what. So we took her to a vet and they did X rays and discovered the collapsed trachea and said there are a few options. 1- She had to lose weight (she was 10 lbs). sometimes 11. 2. Meds (one was the Perosidine or whatever you mentioned and getting a Pom to take meds is another story.- they helped, but also started to show side effects as doses increased over time. 3. They could put a stint in her but she was already like 13 at the time and higher risk then younger pups. That was a 50/50 chance of working and the Dr didn’t recommend it due to her age. Diet, meds and not get excited. Lindsey was with us for maybe 2 more years after we left Floria that day. For most of that time, she was calm and always a calm dog. loved to play ball when younger, but then just did her thing. heading into 2021, her honking and coughing was keeping us up and we know it wasn’t giving her any comfort so we took her to vet (really great Anumal Hospital thst is “cadillac service w/mercedes benz prices (she was worth it). Oh forgot to mention she was panting a lot. This was maybe Jul 2021, they gave us stronger meds. (horse pills). REALLY- She was stressed as if it much less get a pill down her throat that i wpikd have to cut up. This just seemed to make her more anxious and she was panting more and did ok IF she could take the pills. (why not liquid form?). One med was a sedative that helped her. Week maybe after that visit, when she was taking the meds she seemed ok for a bit when in the sedative, but the other meds had her very anxious and she wasn’t herself. and it just got worse After couple of calls to hospital, they suggested changing meds and other things and that was temp. still wasn’t going to get that big pill down her throat without a fight (Poms pick up every trick….) she was all night for 2-3 days, pacing and panting, wife and I started to talk our options and bring her back to animal hospital to see what they could do as she was just uncomfortable (We are now in Aug 2020). We called the animal hospital and explained what was going on and they took her in and oxygen tank and IV, and she was resting. we left her there for the night and have the Drs check in the morning on meds Next day, the Vet called and gave us our options, we kind of knew it was coming, and they let us come down and see her for a bit. She was out of it, but at peace. Asked if we wanted to hold her as she went to “sleep” and said “no”. it was tough. But we didn’t want her to suffer so we could enjoy her company I bought up the kennel cough and Lil Ricky as this all seemed to start when we took her from the place in FL. (Decent place, just sadly, she was never the same and Lil Ricky passed alongside of her in the same kennel. We don’t know (presumptuous) if that visit and having the other Pom pass while we were in hotel triggered things, but it just never went away. and progressed over time. So my recommendation for CT is to keep dogs within weight management, excercise- decent good without the garbage, and if you start hearing frequent coughing that sounds like a goose, go get them checked up. this requires X-Rays both Ricky and Lindsey were being treated at the animal referral hospital (seriously, they do it all there) and got great treatment. The staff was forever so kind. Shortly after Lindsey left us, we got a package in the mail with a card and they took a plaster paw print of her to use as a Christmas ornament. (They remembered Lil Ricky and although he passed it n Fl, they sent us a card for. him as well. I bought up Lil Ricky as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) has signs you can look for and is very common. Ricky always had less energy. he was happy being by wife’s side. Not sure if a regular checkup with Vet or why he was seen that day, but forever grateful the Dr looked at his tongue and saw that it was bluish and we needed to get him to hospital right away. He did well on meds when we could sneak them in (cheese, meat, anything). and they expected him to be with us maybe 6 months and think maybe 2 years plus he stayed with us. But the meds require follow up and blood work and long exposure does or may create a problem with his kidneys and Drs said on his last overnight 1K hospital stay in O2 tank that they can control his heart or kidneys but not both. He already collapsed twice in n us (just tipped over) and we kind of snapped him out of it. So check CeCes and Boos tongue for discoloration and if look bluish, get them checked up. CT is all depending on dogs age and what X Rays can be done. Keeping them within weight and calm can make things better for them. (Lindsey was always nervous) Sorry so long. We missed them and said “no more” when Lindsey crossed the Rainbow bridge, but the house wasn’t the same and Aug 20, we said goodbye to Linsey, Jun 2021, said hello to Casper (nicknamed Dawgzilla) he’s something else. ) So we are keeping an eye on him. have him under a health care plan to take care of things and hope he brings a lot of joy when he lets us rest. So that’s as condensed as I know. We still feel Lindsey may have developed kennel cough and was stressed at place n Fl after Ricky passed with her in the same kennel. but it’s presumption Lil Ricky never was an exerciser and am sure he was born with the CHF, but he did like walks otherwise, he never left moms side (under her arm). They were both well loved Ricky was 12-14 lbs and would say he was overweight a little maybe, Casper is 7lb and expect him to stay in that range. i don’t have a channel on you tube. wife has pics of the dogs on FB. they just live in our hearts furever, and blessed. i’d like to get another Pom as a playmate for Casper, but prefer and older one and no more every 2 hours in middle of night for potty break. Keep us posted on how CeCe and Boo are doing Alan
@@stemmentor9700 omg such a sad story my heart goes out to you! 🥺 I can only imagine the pain you had to go through when you were dropping off Ricky and Lindsey at the vet for your vacation in FL not knowing things were never gonna be the same again … and that it was the last time that you could see Ricky! It’s just so heart-breaking 😭 Thank you for sharing your story, your experience, and lots of helpful tips for us and other pom owners here! We’ve learnt a lot from you and it’s a comment that I fully read but I’m sure I have to refer back to over and over again in the future because there’s so much wisdom in it! And yes the potty breaks every 2 hours can be very detrimental to our sleep and healthy lol! I’d love to have another puppy at some point but that’s something I don’t miss at all! 😂

Poor baby. Thoughts are with you. You're a great mom to those babies.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I'm so sorry that had that happen to that sweetheart and how what you went through but I'm so glad she's OK ❤
Oh... big hugs.... you are an excellent Pom mommy... I feel your pain.
Thank you so much! You're so sweet!
Your English is just fine, and Cece and Boo are very lucky to have you.
Aww thank you so much, Elizabeth! ❤️
Sweet little baby CECE - 😢 I can imagine how heart breaking it was for you. Thank you for sharing💕
Thank you! 💕 Cece is all happy running around now after that problem was taken care of! ❤️

I’m getting a pom in a month and these videos have been helpful and adorable. Thank you so much for making this content.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! ❤️
Thank you so much, Lola! ❤️ And yes I think i couldn’t have said it better - that feeling is almost inevitable when our dogs are not well!
@@CeceFamily Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for telling us about this even though it is painful. Many vets do not pay enough attention as well. I will take your advice for my new baby Pom. I found a very tiny dog toothbrush made in Japan and it is much easier to use than others I've found. By the way, I didn't need to use the cc because your English is very good! Thank you again.
Thanks for sharing this😢 you are an amazing pet parent; pls don’t be so hard on yourself
Thank you so much, Amanda!
Such a wonderful mom
You are amazing and I am so sorry that Cece went through this. Loves and kisses from everyone!
Thank you!! We're grateful to have a community of super supportive dog owners & lovers 💕
Even if you're doing everything perfect, things can always happen. For every event we learn a new thing. I hope Cece okay right now❤

Awww, poor precious girl! My heart breaks for you all as I watch this video.

thanks for sharing. always take care Cece. you are so cute ❤
Thank you, Conneli! Cece is back to her normal cheerful & bossy self now! ❤️
Thanks
Thank you so much for your support! We really appreciate it! ❤️
You’re such a great mom, praying for you and Cece 🙏🏾💛
Thank you so much! 🙏
Get well soon Cece. Your mom really care about your health. Proud of your family
Thank you so much! 💕
I'm so terribly sorry for your loss! Will hug my babies after reading your comment!
Thank you for sharing. Sending you and Cece love and warmth
thank you! ♥️
Cece is very sweet. Poms are the best dogs in the world.
Aww thank you so so much!

You are a really great dog mom! Poor Cece I am really glad she has recovered🥰 I also really hope my pom will not go through this😢
Thank you & and yes I hope your little cutie will never have to go through this so he can continue to eat all types of food in the world ❤️ Cece can only eat softer food now 😅
Thank you for this video 🙏🏼 I had this exact problem with my bichon havanese, worst nightmare.

Thank you!! Glad our other videos brought you joy & we’ll back with more of those soon! 😝❤️
I have 2 poms. You are a great mom. Look into feeding raw. Raw bones help clean teeth. Turkey necks, chicken wings, always raw can be a great treat for them. Thank you for sharing your pretty babies.
You are amazing and they are lucky to have you.

Thank you for sharing! Praying for you and Cece ❤
Thank you! ❤️🙏🏻
I wish I saw this earlier. I lost my dog this year in February and don't know what to do. Thank you making this video for other dog owners.
I'm deeply sorry for your loss! What hapened to your dog?
Thank you so much, I just rescued a Pom, I’m learning A lot
I'm literally crying 😭 I'm SO sorry
Glad she's doing better.. u are a wonderful mom.❤️❤️❤️
Aww thank you so much, Jennifer! 🙏🏻 Your words meant a lot to me and made me feel a lot better!
Thank you! ❤️ It was indeed a scary and difficult time but glad that Cece came out of it stronger and she is even “bossier” nowadays 😂
This is so helpful! Thank you very much. I could feel your genuine concern while explaining everything. Cece and Boo are so lucky to have you!

Thank you so much for this video! This made me realise how important it is to clean my pom's teeth, it was a bit of a wake up call for me, so thank you for that! I can't imagine what you went through with Cece. Sending you lots of love to you and your poms xx
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻❤️
Me too. My Pom absolutely HATES getting her teeth brushed and struggles against me when I try, but watching this renewed my vigor to keep at it until she gets accustomed. I would rather struggle with her now than pay the price later.
@@BreaB15 Well said, Brea! It's better for me to do the teeth-brushing dance than having her suffer later.
I have a party pom n had surgery too not all n had same thing now after 5 yrs he gets bad breathe n I have to keep him on antibiotics every month from now on bad breathe means infection his still bleeds if I brush w cloth I feed him soft food she will be ok don't be said
❤
Thank you for this I just got a new pom her gums are bleeding. I wasn’t aware they needed dental cleanings. I will have to schedule her some yearly appointments for dental care she’s only 4 months 😭
Oh don't worry if she's only 4 months old she's most likely bleeding because her baby teeth are falling out as permanent teeth begin to erupt! At 6 months, all of their permanent teeth will fully erupt and that's when you should establish a daily routine of teeth brushing and bring her to a dental cleaning by the age of 2! ♥️
@@CeceFamily thank you so much!
Thank you, so much for taking the time to make this very informative and eye opening video.
Thank you for bringing dental care
to our attention! You are a wonderful pet mom to share your experience with us! Yes, many breeds are prone to dental issues! Great video!
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! 🥺
Bless y’all’s heart!
❤️
You are a great mom. I have a white Pom. Her name is Ms. Angel. Please also look for natural vet. Try to stay away from too many meds.
Thank you sweetie! ❤️ I bet she sounds just like her name! 💕 I agree I do not like med overuse either it comes with many side effects so I always prefer a natural treatment whenever possible! 👍🏻
@@CeceFamily yes she’s an Angel. Here is her channel ruclips.net/video/Ql0R4RuYtT4/видео.html

Also had two older Pomeranians die 6 months after having their teeth cleaned. Kidney failure.
My pomeranian is 6 years old and has had her teeth cleaned only once when she was 1 year old, thanks you for warning me
Aw I'm glad it helps! Yea if it has been a while since she last had her teeth cleaned, I think it's a good idea to ask the vet to check her teeth and see if she's due for any cleaning soon and do all the necessary tests prior to the cleaning to make sure it's safe to proceed with the anesthesia
It is not your fault! You are a great pom mom! ((HUGS)) 💖💖💖💖
Thank you for having my back! ❤️❤️
@@CeceFamily You're welcome. We gotta stick together. 😉🙂💖
thank you
I've always been able to brush my poms teeth but I just rescued a pom 6 months ago and will not let me near his mouth at all.
@@CeceFamily Thank you for response! So sweet! 🥰🥰
Man I just shed a tear for Cece.
🥺 don't worry she's back bossing everyone around already 😬
@@CeceFamily that the Cece we love!
I was so annoyed at when the ITP thing wasn't right and Cece was almost on the wrong med. Thank God you were extra careful
You did everything you could given the information you had. You kept up on the daily brushing and you noticed the bleeding and looked for a vet who could get her in
Thank you! ❤️
Sending all my love and prayers for Cece ❤
Thank you so much! ❤
my dog's teeth hardly need cleaning after I started her on a mostly raw meat-only diet. She is thriving and seems to have a new level of energy like a much younger dog. I think plants and processed dog food contribute to teeth and gum issues. Same as with humans.
Ooh u poor thing I have 4 furbabys this as upsetting to watch x
I have poms ...my girls have major teeth issues to.
Hope cece get well ♥️
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I have had to utilize my local animal emergency room when regular vet is too busy.
Most importantly, from my research, during an anesthesia-free dental cleaning, no dental X-rays could be taken and they couldn't go below the gum line to clean if the dog has deep periodonal pockets or if teeth need to be extracted, making the dental cleaning almost pointless 😢
Also thank you for sharing your experience with your other Poms as well!
Week maybe after that visit, when she was taking the meds she seemed ok for a bit when in the sedative, but the other meds had her very anxious and she wasn’t herself. and it just got worse
After couple of calls to hospital, they suggested changing meds and other things and that was temp. still wasn’t going to get that big pill down her throat without a fight (Poms pick up every trick….)
she was all night for 2-3 days, pacing and panting, wife and I started to talk our options and bring her back to animal hospital to see what they could do as she was just uncomfortable (We are now in Aug 2020).
We called the animal hospital and explained what was going on and they took her in and oxygen tank and IV, and she was resting. we left her there for the night and have the Drs check in the morning on meds
Next day, the Vet called and gave us our options, we kind of knew it was coming, and they let us come down and see her for a bit. She was out of it, but at peace. Asked if we wanted to hold her as she went to “sleep” and said “no”. it was tough. But we didn’t want her to suffer so we could enjoy her company
I bought up the kennel cough and Lil Ricky as this all seemed to start when we took her from the place in FL. (Decent place, just sadly, she was never the same and Lil Ricky passed alongside of her in the same kennel.
We don’t know (presumptuous) if that visit and having the other Pom pass while we were in hotel triggered things, but it just never went away. and progressed over time.
So my recommendation for CT is to keep dogs within weight management, excercise- decent good without the garbage, and if you start hearing frequent coughing that sounds like a goose, go get them checked up. this requires X-Rays
both Ricky and Lindsey were being treated at the animal referral hospital (seriously, they do it all there) and got great treatment.
(Lindsey was always nervous)
Sorry so long. We missed them and said “no more” when Lindsey crossed the Rainbow bridge, but the house wasn’t the same and Aug 20, we said goodbye to Linsey, Jun 2021, said hello to Casper (nicknamed Dawgzilla) he’s something else. )
So we are keeping an eye on him. have him under a health care plan to take care of things and hope he brings a lot of joy when he lets us rest.
So that’s as condensed as I know. We still feel Lindsey may have developed kennel cough and was stressed at place n Fl after Ricky passed with her in the same kennel. but it’s presumption
Lil Ricky never was an exerciser and am sure he was born with the CHF, but he did like walks otherwise, he never left moms side (under her arm). They were both well loved
Ricky was 12-14 lbs and would say he was overweight a little maybe, Casper is 7lb and expect him to stay in that range.
i don’t have a channel on you tube. wife has pics of the dogs on FB.
they just live in our hearts furever, and blessed.
i’d like to get another Pom as a playmate for Casper, but prefer and older one and no more every 2 hours in middle of night for potty break.
Keep us posted on how CeCe and Boo are doing

@@stemmentor9700 omg such a sad story my heart goes out to you! 🥺 I can only imagine the pain you had to go through when you were dropping off Ricky and Lindsey at the vet for your vacation in FL not knowing things were never gonna be the same again … and that it was the last time that you could see Ricky! It’s just so heart-breaking 😭
Thank you for sharing your story, your experience, and lots of helpful tips for us and other pom owners here!
