I think it’s different for everyone, but I put my dog in her crate when I leave the house. We can’t do this sort of training because we don’t want her to have negative associations with her crate.
L U M A T I C I agree..imagine hearing a horrible nails on a chalkboard screech every time you try to talk or express yourself...I like training with positive associations rather than negative ones
"He's a spoiled, little Pomeranian." I wonder how many times Victoria has said those exact words. It seems like every time there is a Pomeranian or another small dog on this show, the owners tend to spoil them a lot.
As a tutor of a chihuahua, it's very difficult not to spoil him... He's sooooo small and scared of everything, sometimes I have to remember me that it's for the best, but it's pretty hard not to give up...
My pomeranian is cute, people love him but cute only gets you so far with me. Especially when an animal needs redirection. I think a well trained/behaved dog is the cutest. Not to say I've done a great job training mine but I get annoyed easily so it's hard to focus on cute when you get irritated. Victoria has taught me things that I can implement & I'm grateful
that's not true. Schalke, my pomeranian, is an angel, and so were the other 2 poms I had. Obviously the well behaved ones are never gonna be on the show, kinda obvious.
At the end of this video (after the episode was filmed) you can see Peanut has grown his hair a little bit more, so the training worked! ruclips.net/video/0wtf3q_AllA/видео.html
For some reason I find it so adorable when Victoria says 'tell him he's a good boy' like she wants the dog to know he's being good and feel rewarded and that's so cute to me
@@xxuploaderrrxxx6867 What was the point of that comment. Are you trying to one-up him? There is literally no reason on earth to comment that unless you are gatekeeping. What makes you think he doesn't no anything about dogs?
Poms should never be shaved or coat cut back - there coat grows back a mess in patches….that magnificent coat looks moth eaten. There are videos on RUclips showing what happens & the permanent damage done to a shaved or cut short coat, the damage is permanent.
Peanut is one of my favorite dogs from the series. He's just kind of a goofy little sassy brat. He's got behavioral problems but nothing scary and he adjusts to the new expectations of him relatively quickly.
You're actually never supposed to get any double coated dog such as a pomeranian cut like that. Their natural coat with undercoat and guard hairs intact allow them to insulate as well as cool off when necessary. There are thermography pictures all over the internet showing how much hotter a dog's body gets when they've been cut like that. A little trim to even everything out is one thing, but these cuts are way too much and good groomers will actually refuse to do it.
I think Peanuts so gorgeous but he’s just incredibly spoiled in attention Peanut was definitely vicious with the grooming brush, I loved when Victoria taught the brush and chicken trick 🐶 My favorite time with peanut was when he got on the walk Victoria did an excellent job with peanut!
AlvinTheHammy Care i think its actually a little sad because these dogs dont seem very happy (i have a lot of dogs like him in my neighbourhood the small ones often are just so spoiled and misbehave)
I don't think he's just spoiled, but brushing can be painful when the fur is long and dense, and people are just tugging on it. Especially when he is so small.
I had a pomeranian. Metal brushes can hurt dogs, which is why he's reacting to it. My groomer suggested a soft plastic brush instead. I use a soft plastic hand mitt brush and my dogs love it!
This is my favorite episode and it has my two favorite dogs and my favorite owners. I love peanut and stains and the owners are very nice people who mean well but just didn't know the right thing to do!
We do this all time at my salon. Our greatest success has been a huge husky named Dembe. Now he stands fine while we do his nails, and goes straight to the treats and sits and waits patiently.
The first thing I thought they should do is get a nicer brush, the one they use has those thin metal wires... They can hurt on the skin, of course a dog would hate that! It didn't even get mentioned though. We tried out the brushes on ourselves first and started brushing our dogs by stroking them while brushing and giving them treats afterwards for staying put. They love getting brushed now, unless you start rushing them because it pulls on their hair and makes them uncomfortable. Take your time and it will be relaxing for both of you!
Peanut has all the tantrums on the world lol 😂 - he doesn't like walks -he doesn’t like to be brushed -he doesn’t like his owner leaving the house -he doesn’t like his kennel 😅🤣😎🐶
there is just something so charming about the Peanut and stains episode like maybe it's cuz their owners seem like good down to earth people who just want to help their dogs. Normally it's just like a couple that fights all the time and doesn't want to take responsibility
How all this time the owners never tried giving him a treat to brush his hair 🤦♂️ id be damn if I spent hundred or thousands on a dog trainer to say give him a treat while brushing his hair
This was the final clip of Peanut! Which was your personal favorite?

The Peanut Show!
I’d binge watch that
this was shot 10years ago.... so...... i really doubt........

They were sweet and atient with the dog lol. Good vibes just like her

Nospam Spamisham my dog is still loud.
@Nospam Spamisham that's awful, punishment is the last resort when educating a dog and it's the least effective and most cruel

That grooming parlour seems like such fun! Those guys seem like such a fabulous laugh!
They need their own show!
I was coming to say the exact same thing! I love the groomers. They stole my heart.
LC_ Andrew yes totally!

Do we know if they have any social media or RUclips?

Well, yeah, this show doesn't really feature well-trained dogs
I think that it also has to do with the temperament of the breed. Almost all Pomeranians act feisty and bossy. It's just how most of them are.
Peanut:
This brush is my mortal enemy nothing can make me surrender
Gets a piece of chicken whist being brushed
Peanut:
What is this voodoo source
It's actually weird how this comment have so many likes but no replies. When this happens it means everyone agrees with you
Dogs can't resist treats, they eat it
The title was all I needed to click! Peanut's a little cutie , but he's very bad at listening and following directions!
can peanut get his own spinoff show? it just makes me happy to watch him :D
I don't know how old Peanut was when this was filmed, but the episode is ten years old. Maybe he's old and decrepit now.

Peanut looks so angry in the thumbnail lol
shrek potato that’s me on mondays
This is so strange considering my dog when he was alive literally grabbed his brush DEMANDING to be brushed. I wasn't even allowed to stop.
My dogs love being brushed back leg start shaking and all. Lol
My dog hates to be brushed! I can only brush her when I put her on a table or a high chair then she’ll sit still.
My dogs just look at me like "really" and then go to sleep so
My sister's Alaskan husky mix is the same way 😂 she absolutely loves being brushed and wants either that or scratches
My dog likes being brushed except for his back legs because of his hip dysplasia. I have to be gentler with his hind quarters.
Victoria Stilwell and Jackson Galaxy are honestly my favourite pet trainers
Same ☺
Yes! Both seem like lovely people too 😊
Sometimes I wonder, is Victoria still well?
Dream Pug711, yes she is alive and well she still works with dogs
Yeah Cesar Milan gets too much criticism.
My aunt's pomeranian was given treat training while brushing too. It actually works. 😊
I do this with my dog! It really keeps his focus
I'm going to try that with my Havanese
The groomers were so funny and sweet, would love to have my dog groomed by them!

I LOVE those groomers!!! Let's get them a show. I'd watch that all day.
Those groomers were awesome. I love that they were straight up about the root cause of the issue being the owner.
Me too, and not sugarcoating it or sucking up
I think he actually looks cuter with the shorter coat. Like a teddy bear.
but its actually damaging for the dog, tho

The Dog groomer was hilarious and I like the way Peanuts coat is cut he is adorable he really is!! 💛💛

Peanut is the best dog on this show. He was the most easy to tame dog. Plus his owner actually cares about his health and life.
I love how this is exactly like super nanny but with dogs
It was produced by the same people.
Omg I love Peanut and Stains, I wish they could make another episode starring the two of them
The dislike is from the person that thought peanut would bite them when they were grooming him
Gabby Strode or may from the people who have peanut allergy...lol.
That tiny pomeranian was too cute 😱
I love watching Peanut no matter what his attitude. He is my favorite pomeranian celebrity.
Sorta off topic, but I loved the groomers sense of humor 😂 I laughed everyttime
Peanut again?! lol I love him and his problematic ways 😭

The simplest solutions tend to work the best. Food is a strong motivator.
Peanut's owner remind me of Tracy Nelson Ricky Nelson's daughter. Sound like her too. That's one beautiful dog always want a pomeranian.
I feel like the grooming parlour guys should be taught this technique?? Not just the owners. Imagine how many dogs they can help this way!!
