  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

It's somehow adorable and amusing, watching the beaver tugging at sticks and branches, and rearranging them. I know it's for efficiency's sake and structural integrity, but my silly brain insists that the beaver thinks he's fixing the culvert pipe's _feng shui._ 😂

Thank you for saving the dragonfly! They are super magical! ✨ Also Please take care of YOUR well being and don't risk your health for anyone else. You were wise to get out of that hot tunnel. I am the same way about heat so I do understand. I HATE high heat or humidity. As a child I was always in my barefeet and never wanted to wear a coat even in Winter. I'm thankful you got out of the heat! As I age I am really super shocked at how little my body is able to deal with heat. We had the heat dome here in BC in 2021 (June) and I seriously thought I would die. I have never been so scared. Last year with the fires and my lungs felt like acid being poured into them and the heat about did me in again. SO don't let anyone tease you about heat.

Your truck is a dream already and you keep improving it. I really like over-sized gas tanks! Back in the 60's, when service stations pumped your gas for you, I bought a special order LTD that hadn't been picked up. It had a huge gas tank! I only filled up when it hit the E. The attendants would pump and pump gas. They would look around on the ground, then they'd yell at a buddy and they would be on their knees looking under the car! As a young mother with a baby I thought it was funny and would finally tell them about the tank size. We would all laugh then. Love your videos!

Post, I'm from Florida, so I know about heat and humidity. It's no joke! Be careful and Stay hydrated! Also, yes, a fan blowing over some ice/water will help. I have a fan that does just that. It has a tray in the back that you fill will water, kind of like a dehumidifier, but you can put ice, or even just cold water in it and is blows the air across the water surface cooling it down. I measured it at like 72 degrees at one point. With our temps, that was perfect! You're very cleaver, so I'm sure you'll be able to rig up something to help. Good luck!

For your in car heat issues, you'd be surprised how effective just a small usb powered fan or two can help cool you off. If you are concerned about draining your vehicle battery you could just use one or two good usb power banks to power the fans for 8 hours or so. I think ice would be great, but it is a LOT more work than just plugging in a small 5 volt DC fan or two. I hope this helps.

I've been thinking about a way for you to pull out really tough clogs from a pipe and this is what came to mind when you once mentioned that you're considering getting a winch for your truck.
If you attach a pulley via a soft sling to a tree in front of the pipe to route the winch cable into the pipe and attach a grappling hook to it, you could literally winch out otherwise hard or too dangerous clogs that way. 😊

Those limbs with green leaves will probably root and grow, if you stuffed the cut end back into the mud. You can bury much of most of the limb. Of course this won’t work on pines, but cottonwood, willow, birch and other water loving trees will readily root and can make good strainers to catch debris. Just place them so upstream beaver can’t get them easily. Beaver and muskrat
Eat the iris tubers, great food source!
That pipe really NEEDS a quality triangle grate. Even if you remove the beaver, more will come. Beaver like the area, so removing is futile. Simply installing a good grate with sloped verticals bars (IE like you noticed out west) and problem solved. Easy to remove excess blockage AND the beaver can coexist with man.

I love your videos. I'm a new subscriber, and I find your video is very relaxing. I love watching you unclog those tunnels and then seeing the water flow and the ponds get lower. You do great work and you're very entertaining, and kind of cute. Keep the videos coming my friend

For your heat problem at night, maybe you could get a 2nd battery in the bed of the truck with a small AC unit in the back middle window that slides sideways! You could even make yourself a little setup with foldable portable solar panels you could put on the roof to recharge! (Like an RV)

Awesome upgrade to the truck I'm sure it's gonna be well worth it for you not having to carry around all those jerry cans
