My Man, you are the encyclopedia of Gen 3s!!! Between the videos and your site, I doubt even Honda has (or would even publish) the knowledge you have. I just tagged my 91 2.1 automatic this summer and I love scooting around in it. (aside from the new fuel pump that for some reason doesn't like parking overnight on hills?) And of course a little sketchy shifting when I put it down. Great video, but one critic, that perhaps you haven't realized. I had to turn my sound bar waaaaay up with my mouse on the mute button in case of blowout. Your audio is very low and I could barely hear you talk. Thanks again for making these videos. Look forward to the next.
Great work, love your videos. Did you solve the bouncy idle? Just finished a rebuild of my Aussie B20A6 and am trying to troubleshoot my own bouncy idle, exactly the same as yours presents in this video.
This one was caused by air in the fast idle valve lines. Check out this link for some stuff to check for the bouncy idle: prelude3g.com/p3g/commonproblemfixes/bouncyidle/bouncyidle.htm
Nice Video! Have you ever had rust above the drivers upper control arm mount? Mine is rusted out. Like it has a big hole. And it is rusted around the bolt in the engine bay. my grandpa and I are are trying to figure out how to fix that. Also I might need coil overs since i have a broken coil spring on the drivers side. Do the K sports ride well and are they worth the money? Or should I just buy lowering springs? Thanks Sam
I've seen rust like that before. There's no good option really other than replacing all the metal. You might need to cut a section out of another chassis to weld into yours. KSports ride well, I think that is the best option for lowering these days.
I have a question I have an 89 prelude si. The motor is knocking. And since they are so hard to find the next best thing will be to swap it. What swap would be the smoothest transition? Also keeping budget in mind. Thank you!
Proud 3rd gen Prelude owner 😎..

Mine had the same issue, fixed it with a new o2 sensor and a new Cat. It was probably just the o2 sensor
