Season 3 of Modern Warfare III brought 3 new vests and today, I wanted to break them down in great detail to see exactly how they work and whether or not they're worth using. These new vests include the Compression Carrier, the Gunslinger Vest, and the Modular Assault Rig. What are your thoughts on these new vests in MWIII? Using the Gunslinger vest has been the most fun I’ve had in a while. I pick up a primary as soon as I get a kill, it’s a lot of fun cuz I never know what I’m going to get and it brings a lot of variety to the game. Just kidding I only pick up MCWs
If we ever play in a match, you won't get an MCW since I never run it. lol

The gunslinger vest is so dope cause they combined the demolition vest and the overkill vest then slapped like 5 extra perks onto the base vest. Then you also get an extra tactical, which is good for using rechargeable Stims, and also counters out the fact you dont have double time ( using covert sneakers is still better ) plus the extra gear slot. Its really good since the renetti has that smg conversion kit and allows you to compete at ranged gun fights
Are Stims now rechargable without having to have that recharge vest?

I use the TYR amp to get one shot headshots at range with a sniper scope and it’s super fun. Doesn’t always work but keep yourself near a wall where you can peak in and out and you’ll get a couple here and there. Then WSP stinger akimbo back up

@biggiracc its not quick fix. It just refreshes your tac sprint bar. Quick fix is health regen. Completely different
I'll definitely be using the Compression Carrier Vest for moments where I don't need a tactical in Search and Destroy. A vest like this can mean all the difference between a win or a loss when multiple people are trying to charge you at once.
yeah it’s def top 3 best vest for search rn, but lowkey that gunslinger vest might go crazy in search, picking up someone’s gun and moving like that w all those perks might be nice. ima try that after i unlock it

They probably need to give the Demo vest EOD built-in or something, because the downside on the Modular Assault Vest of “you have to run over the people you kill” doesn’t give it enough of a downside considering it also lets you start with one more tactical then demo.

If they added the ordinance gloves to the demolition vest it would make it more viable
Been using the Modular Assault Rig since I earned it.
For xp, 3 decoy grenades on small maps, is the quickest way to level up new weapons.
It only took 2 games on shipment, spamming 3 decoy grenades to get the gladiator knife to level 6.
As a revolver main, i welcome the gun slinger vest xD
That modular rig is basically old school scavenger, crazy how long it’s been till we got this back.
People are sleeping hard on the Gunslinger vest and the Modular assault rig. Pistols and melee are both pretty strong in MW3 and the gunslinger vest gives you enormous benefits. It's easily one of my favorite vests to run currently. The modular assault rig is also pretty crazy on smaller maps. I've been running it with a combo of stuns and thermobaric grenades and it's wildly effective. Just toss a thermo followed quickly by a stun to keep people from fleeing from it. As long as you stay on the move you'll just constantly be getting those grenades back so no reason not to spam them around every corner as you go.
Try drills for campers. They run like rats

When it comes to the new vests that were added in the season 3 of MW3, I generally lean towards the modular assault rig. Not only acts like an engineer vest, but also the ability to have two lethals and when I kill people on the enemy team, it’s basically an equipment version of scavenger.
You combine it with scavenger it's like having a munitions box that you can use upon every kill.

@@boomerman2449yeah since scav gloves only give ammo and the rig gives grenades. and now the little pack that drops from killed players now give bullets and grenades
@boomerman2449 That you can. I used that exact combo to grind out the camo challenges for the Horus and it worked for the stupid affected by blind or stun kills.
Yeah, i was thinking you can use them like a tryhard. Use stun/flash or lethal -> kill -> stun/flash or lethal -> kill. The perfect vest for room clearing. Basically, always entering a room with advantage.
Compression vest is like a killstreak maker vest.
Gunslinger vest is for ADHD players.

Don't think im ever switching from the engineer vest unless they buff compression carrier with a field upgrade or another gear slot, add specialist back or add a new vest that would be worth the switch

I'm loving the modular assault vest. I used to use Demolition vest mostly, but this new one is my go-to now.
It really makes the demolition vest kind of pointless, it’s better in every way, Unless you are more of a sit back type of player who doesn’t pick up the bags.

@@ybfelix86 I’ve noticed that it has to be an enemy that YOU got the kill on. Not just any dead enemy.
The addition of the three vests in season 3 makes this the best season yet. Gunslinger is a wild ride, highly recommend

The perk system this year is amazing. Ton of variety and I use a bunch of different ones depending on class and mode I’m playing.
I totally thought I would really want Quick Fix, but now I find myself sticking with my usual demolition vest because I found out how OP grenades are lmao (I ran Engineer for the first few months of the game), and honestly a fast regenerating stim shot is good enough for me
Gunslinger vest is incredibly fun to use! Actually revamped my rushing experience.
The vests I used on my average class was either demolition or assassin depending on how much I felt like having a field upgrade for some situations and modes. While I'm sure gunslinger may be fun to play around with once in a while, I could see myself considering the other two situationally compared to my regular two.
are you planning on testing the new stay in match feature? This was a huge add in the last patch.
ive used it yesterday and someone noticed lol they even mentioned it in the lobby chat i was testing it but didnt keep track of names but he noticed me for 4 matches lol. think there's a limit to how many times you can use it though didnt see option around 5-6 time
The last one makes sense when you level up secondaries on small maps or grind camos for them, no need to Y-Y every time you spawn

I'm loving compression carrier. Especially for aggressive classes like smgs, or on small maps it's very good. I normally always use engineer to, but definitely will be using quick fix on some classes. Glad we have multiple option to heal faster now. Buffed stims and buffed med box 👍
Gunslinger with Beholder and Ferocity. Pretty good lil loadout.
Modular assault rig is, imo, the meta vest to use. Everything else is sorta situational. But max ammo AND equipment scav AND double equipment is universally useful.
Gunslinger Vest is probably the best knifing vest now because of the instant stamina regen from kills allowing you to really move around the map quickly
Don’t know if it was a bug or not, but I was also getting the effects of tactical pads when using the compression vest, so I was able to ADS while sliding with covert sneakers as my boots.
That Gunslinger vest can be nuts in a lot of ways. I have so much fun with it either being a Pistol Sniper with the JAK Beholder or i go full-on Alucard with the Jackal and Casull. They didnt need to go that hard with it lol
I have used infantry vest on every one of my class set ups since launch and honestly I can't see it changing because it's the only way I can run double time and ninja together
I think I prefer the engineering vest with medbox over the new compression vest. You get the medbox very quickly and have two tactical nades and an extra gear slot, so I can run the quick reload and ghost or eod
Gunslinger is going to be OP for hardcore. I am here for it.

I think the most reasonable way for comparison carrier to work on objectives is to double delay timer rate for standing on objective.
Also for some reason it doesn't work on launchers, even though it clearly says "secondary weapon".
I feel that the gunslinger vest will be fun if you use akimbo stingers. Those things are really good after the fire rate buff. Edit:I'm loving the Modular Assault Rig vest so I've been using that so far
As a hard-core player, the compression vest is nice. Even if the hp is only 30, there are times where you DONT die from 1 or even 2 shots and that vest gives you your hp back..."just use stims" I've gotten alot lol but the time between activating/using a stimulus vs me killing an enemy..I'll take killing an enemy
They might not be meta, but as soon as I unlocked the compression carrier, I equipped it. 😂 Works for me. Thank you for this in-depth breakdown of these new perks. Very helpful to my understanding of the new equipment.
The Gunslinger vest seems amazing if you want to level up or get camos on a Secondary. Also wondering how the Demolition Vest compares to the Modular Assasult Rig.
I swapped out demo vest for modular assualt vest for the majority of my classes max ammo is king for streaking I don't have to run scav anymore since I just use the muni box it's exactly what I wanted tbh the grenades were nice but not as important as ammo but I can still get them back from scav packs so it's just better imo
The gunslinger vest is my new way to have fun running around with pistols is where I get my most enjoyment from the game and that just makes it better and easier just wish they'd buff the cor45 10m 3 shot is kinda not great needs to be 15-20m
honestly i'm a fan of the gunslinger vest, it seems to be great for people who are grinding for secondary camos.
Love me the modular and scab gloves. Never need to take ammo lol
I've personally been using the Modular Assault Chestrig, and it's hands down, the best vest out of the 3 we got this season, in my personal opinion. Not only do you still have a field upgrade, but you can replenish your stims off of dead bodies. Animation isn't that long, so I tend to live longer than I did with the Engineer vest, and definitely longer than with the compression vest.
Edit: Only reason I don't use the compression, is because you don't get a field upgrade for one, so you can't have a munitions box to resupply your ammo. But also, for the fact that Scavenger Gloves ONLY replenish 10 bullets. Not even a whole mag. So really not worth running since you're basically screwed on ammo 90% of the time, unless you're running an SMG.
Love gunslinger. And pretty excited to see Hummus Thunder use it regularly.
The modular assault rig has enabled me to have the most fun I’ve never had being a “ninja turtle” since the OG black ops 2.

Light weight boots
EOD padding
The resupply of tactical is so critical with this class if you want to go on higher streaks.
I feel like not many people knew this but you could always equip two secondary weapons by using the overkill vest.

@@txques It's literally true. Overkill vest gives 2 universal weapon slots. so you can run 2 launchers if you wanted.

For me in search the med box charges up and is ready at the start of every round almost so its basically a free compression vest without needing a kill,
Did you try doing any tests with running around with dual launchers and the gunslinger vest?
The Modular Assault Rig+Ordinance gloves+Throwing knives is probably the most fun combination in the whole game

can definitely see myself using the gunslinger vest with a pistol and launcher then playing a solo Gun Game in my lobby by swapping weapons from dead players
modular assault rig seems good to me too, max ammo and then unlimited throwables with 2 of each, lots of fun

Would the healing trigger if you partially capture in domination, leave the obj, and then your teammates finish capturing?
So how does the compression carrier act in hc? Cos in hc healing is disabled but stim still work, will the carrier still trigger in kill in hc?
Yeah, I’m frankly dissappointed that Quick Fix is a letdown compared to the Med Box. Perhaps if they were to adjust it to where it was as good as it was in MWII, I might start using it more. Until then, I’m sticking with that Modular Assault Rig. Equip that thing with Battle Rage and Med Box and you’ll feel like a train! 💪

I think it's ok that they made it so that you don't immediately regenerate in objectives because it'd be like the beta battle rage. But I think the no tactical and field upgrade is a little overkill, in my opinion it'd be fine with atleast one of them or both.
I think a field upgrade is fine. Having a tactical would make the vest too powerful imo

I'm cool with no tactical, it would have a warping effect on the game if you could ruin stim + compression carrier. But having a field upgrade would've been totally fine.
At 2:40 while showing off the healing after kill with the Compression vest;
I can’t help but notice, there’s 3 bars,
White (Health)
Red (damage taken)
Green (stamina for tac sprint).
But why, when you’re getting shot, does the red bar, fluctuate?
It’s not like a game where you can only regen within the red bar,
(Kind of like left for dead I think?).
Is it just a visual that doesn’t matter?
Is it an indicator to something?

That’s why it keeps going back up after he’s shot,
Cus the regen timer starts again?
But that wouldn’t make much sense given damage to regen time is the same no matter the health you’re on…
The compression is my personal favorite. I would not say it's op, it's tier 2 I think. Those covert sneakers are op and anything that keeps you off the radar or silent.
Do any of these health effecting vests or field upgrades work in HC?
Hope we see a video soon on the new aftermarket part for the Bruen LMG which are in the weekly challenge. First impressions, it slaps. I unlocked it midgame and went on a crazy killing spree after throwing it on. 🤣

Why is there a bug that doesn’t let you change attachmensw in the middle of the match . It switch classes or if selected custom load out it switches to the default gun.
I bet we are going to see a lot ot akimbo hipfire builds using stims. Close quarters are going to be filled with people wearing modular assault rig, scavenger gloves, covert sneakers, and eod spamming stims for a few weeks until it gets balanced.
Did they ever fix mag holster, or are there still some guns that it basically does nothing for?
I normally run with the demolition vest, but the modular assault rig is just better in every way. I was excited about the compression vest but its too limited without a field upgrade or tactical.
I know it was a thing, but it constantly activated when you held the bomb in SD. Don't know if it was ever fixed but it probably doesn't work like that in this iteration.
Are the compression carrier supposed remove all attachments? My does that to all my loadouts in ranked.

Like you, I will not switch to any other best other than the engineer vest. If there was a perk to spot enemy equipment like there always has been, I would totally switch vests around. I play hardcore, I need to know where the bettys, claymores and killstreaks are on the map.

I only ever used QuickFix on Shipment and sometimes Hardpoint. Will probably do the same in this game.

I see the Gunslinger vest being used to complete a daily or weekly challenge that requires pistol kills. You could put on the Gunslinger vest and have a pistol in your primary weapon slot. This way you don't have to keep switching to your secondary weapon to complete a pistol challenge.
I kind of think about it what is the point of the demolition vest if the scavenger vest does the same thing but without the regen equipment

I was looking forward to gunslinger vest as i run pistols the more than most guys. Only BUMMER is they nerfed the core 45. I posted about it in your last video. It now is a 4 shot unfortunately. I could really slap with that core 45 and i noticed i was not doing good yesterday as normal and went into the range and sure enough its a 4 shot. That was not in the season 3 notes 😢 unless its a glitch. It was a 3 shot in most ranges

Oh, does this mean MW2 Quick Fix is back? well time to use that will all my classes. Although thanks for the info about objective play healing. Tac mask inbuilt is great and the downsides of no field upgrade is def a downside but for aggressive play you cant go wrong with it.

They could’ve resolved KD bots in objective modes by adding health regen to all objective captures, but nah, make it only useful in capturing the end point in domination.
Assassin vest is my crutch. xD I want to stay off the radar as much as possible for the most part. Small maps could use myself using compression or gunslinger (Maybe gunslinger in regular moshpit for playing with the Tyr as a sniper and having something quick to swap to.) but outside of certain weapons that really do need the recoil control from muzzles I try and put a suppressor on my primaries. Again, subject to potential change on small map moshpit/Shipment 24/7 since positions being known is less powerful.

gunslinger vest is very powerful. I would use that, get a kill, pick up a primary weapon (hope it is a good one), and dominate from there
In hardcore you dont regain health but compression vest negates that so thats a useful usecase in some scenarios

Bro they need to buff this thing it doesn’t work sometimes and it just isn’t as good as it was in other games. They need to allow for tactical and field upgrades

I'll be using the compression carrier over the med box because its always working in every single life when getting a kill. You have to wait for the med box and if you die you cant reuse it until you get a new one.
