I love that its back, its something ive been missing since the Underkill Wildcards in Pick10. Is it niche? Yeah sure. But theres no reason not to have it if you wanna have a Pistol and a Launcher, or a Pistol/Knife (Tactical Knife back when btw?)

LOVING having Cold Blooded/IFF Strobe back finally. Sooo much more convenient and hilarious to run around in the open while teammates are getting mowed down by Heli's and VTOLs (tho sometimes if you are too close to somebody, you'll take some hits).
Hijacked IFF strobe? It basically makes you immune to killstreaks like helicopters, VTOLS, and sentry guns. They just don't target you. Even Chopper Gunners won't see a red box around you (tho they can still see your body if you're in the open). Also, it makes you not appear on thermal and night vision scopes. Very useful in multi-player, tho barely anyone actually uses it. Heh
Hey Ace one hidden thing that wasn't mentioned is that ordinance glove is that you "cook" frags and thermal baric grenades WAY faster I blew myself up in war mode due to how fast the cook pulse animation is compared to other gloves
Its amazing to me how well the audio of the game come's through on my cheap ear buds but when im at home with over ear headphones its like listening to the game in a barrel. You just hear everything at once unlike on aces videos you can clearly and cleanly hear each footstep wild stuff man.
The hidden comms vest ability reminds me of my favorite wiretap perk from CoD Ghosts thst allowed you to abuse enemy UAVs and prevent the snowballing of killstreaks if your team isn't that good which seems to happen more frequently as bonus armory points get awarded to the winning team only.

I'd like to know how the ping generated from the CCT Coms vest and Data Jacker interact with the Assassin vest and Ghost camo. Do they not get pinged or does CCT Vest/DataJacker counter it somewhat?
since the coms vest and data jacker are essentially Eagle Eye from prior games, normal UAVs wont ping, however advanced UAV’s will not work on them iirc.

dont think people realize how strong CCT comms vest is. don't think i'll ever take it off tbh. i don't throw tacs and lethals anyway. this is a free permanent UAV if you're an aggressive player and the radius of the radar sweep is VERY large.

The Mission Control Comlink gear has an additional effect. The description says something like: reduces killstreak requirements by 1 and scorestreak requirements by 125. However, it also improves Field Upgrade recharge time depending on score and/or kills obtained by the user. This is a really big deal because of the Med Box, here in early Season 2, being so powerful. I was able to constantly get the Med Box with that gear.
I'm seeing alot of hate on the Assassin vest as people say it encourages "camping", but real talk there's ALWAYS been camping in COD... when is it not been any camping? I think is pretty balanced out in my opinion with SBMM of this game. You will think that you're doing good just to get wrecked by SBMM matching you up with sweats.
I mean it is useful for camping, but for the rusher like me it counters the extremely unforgiving nature of the ghost tv camo when you stop for one nanosecond.
I just play in public lobby solo and I do not agree there is any MORE camping due to these gears at this time …l think the gears variety are all alright w😊
There's always been and always sill be camping but the devs can easily control how much camping as a playstyle is encouraged & rewarded, relative to other styles of play. Treyarch was the first to introduce the Ghost perk that only works while moving, and I personally think that was a great move to take some of the power away from someone that's camping and encourage people to move around more. In saying this, I'm not 100% opposed to the Assassin Vest, I just think the current tradeoff of only losing your field upgrade isn't balanced with the power of the vest, relative to the other vests in the game. If it also prevented you from using a lethal for instance, I think it would be balanced just fine.

It was clearly effective. Adding stationary Ghost back is evidence that they never should have put in Treyarchs half-assed Ghost to begin with.

Great video. The engineer vest and it's gear counter part. Both are not working as intended. They both state. They emit a signal. That disrupts enemies lethals (basically like the perk from ww2 when you added the flanker perk. It delayed the activation of claymores/ bouncing proxy mines. You do you run past it and not received damage . It should also provide an audio cue. Both do not work. You still die exactly the same because there is a delay allowing you to run past it. May I add the red of the engineer perk is also not bright enough, does not always highlight enemy equipment and sometimes does not go through walls. In part cod's. The engineer perk used to also highlight uavs in the minimap. To stop you looking around in the air for trying to locate them. Looking for them had got me killed so many times. Please look into this Ace
Thanks for posting this. I throw a lot of knives from behind a shield. I noticed that when I’m getting sprayed with bullets I can get the knife out and the shield back up before dying way more often with the Quick-Grip gloves. At first I thought I was crazy because the animation looks the same as the Ordinance gloves, but I couldn’t deny the result. Thanks to your work I feel more sane, lol.
They really gotta buff the tac mask perk, it’s not strong enough and engineer vest, the vest needs a way better outline for equipment it’s hardly ever visible
The CCT Comms Vest also shows you the difference between enemy gunfire and decoy grenades. While the enemy gunfire shows as a diamond, decoy grenades show as a filled circle.
I miss how the Ordnance gloves used to improve the cook time on grenades. It was a good hidden characteristic on them since cooking grenades you intend to throw back faster is handy
I don't know if this issue is already known but can you report to SHG that if you loose a game that you join in progress, it counts towards your stats even though it says at the end of the game that the loss will be prevented. This shouldn't happen...

Ghost TV camo only works while moving. Assassin vest is Ghost but additionally while stationary, I.e. how Ghost worked in most previous CoDs (my theory is somebody in design argued Ghost should have been that way from launch - so they changed it by way of adding a new vest). In answer to your 1st question, it looks like they made it so you don't accidentally waste a gear slot with a vest that does the same thing. It reverts to a 'complimentary' gear peice by default.

Man, covert sneakers needs to be removed. Temporary Dead silence as a field upgrade was perfectly balanced. And it would indirectly make the assassin vest balanced since you can’t have a field upgrade with it.
I've said from jump the Bone Conduction should CANCEL Covert Sneakers effect. Everything should have a counter. But no, apparently they want 98% using Dead Silence. Why? Clearly butthurt players who want to aim assist rumble their way around the map.

Man I like the perk system in this game but the way they work is just a mess. No clear descriptions on how the perks function. Bunch of inconsistencies with their effectiveness or just flat out not working as one would think they would.

Joining late games shouldn't affect your KD always get shitted on because you have no momentum so I end up leaving for a fresh new game

Man, covert sneakers needs to be removed. Temporary Dead silence as a field upgrade was perfectly balanced.
And it would indirectly make the assassin vest balanced since you can’t have a field upgrade with it.
I've said from jump the Bone Conduction should CANCEL Covert Sneakers effect. Everything should have a counter. But no, apparently they want 98% using Dead Silence. Why? Clearly butthurt players who want to aim assist rumble their way around the map.

The vests not listing things is annoying because I had no idea you could get different perk options and extra tacs and stuff

Lol at the beginning when I had not unlocked sneakers operators started to annoy me when i used tacticals and frags with the "nade out" voice line nonstop😂.
I didnt know voicelines were muted with the covert sneakers😂 thought my game was messing up the other day😂😂😂
if you didn't know if you want to counter bone conduction headset throw decoys... those sounds are amplified for those running the perk.

Covert sneakers explains a lot. I was wondering why I couldn't hear my operator.
Wish the covert sneakers didn't do that, or we at least had the option to turn it off. Operator voice lines are one of the main reasons I like certain ones and why I buy some but I can't imagine playing without dead silence

Thanks Ace. On a different subject, is anyone having issues with a season one bug with Progression? Seems when you check on it, it reverts back to home screen or match start screen. This bug also eliminates any stats or letting you know if your XP or unlocked attachments at the end of a match. Thoughts?
Feels like the Ordnance Gloves got the equipment usage buff nerfed with season 1. Still not over losing the shorter frag fuse on them.

When aiming down the sight and strafing, the Marksman Gloves seem to smooth out your aim from what I've experienced.
I also noticed that the DDOS temporarily disables the the turret on the tank in war mode
It appears if you have covert sneakers on your favorite loudout makes the operators don't say lines either when on the operator select screen.
It's worth noting (for people that never watched the Boys) the Black Noir operator also does not speak at all, because the character also doesn't speak in the show

I was getting mad I could hear my Ash operator anymore! (Covert sneakers) Don't remember if this was mentioned but the covert sneakers also eliminates slide noise and climbing ladder noise

Man I like the perk system in this game but the way they work is just a mess. No clear descriptions on how the perks function. Bunch of inconsistencies with their effectiveness or just flat out not working as one would think they would.
How fucking hard is it for COD to put accurate descriptions. Better question, if intentional, WHY?

i've heard that the marksman gloves give you a 2-hit melee but havent tried this out personally
