@@TruthHurts01 thank you so much for commenting and sharing your insights. I didn't know it was a Filipino dish he was holding or perhaps he mentioned and I forgot. But it looked Asian to me. I've never come across a hardy Indian dish with mung beans. I grew up with a sweet version of mung beans (soup) with grated coconut and palm sugar. I will definitely look up the recipe you mentioned.
There’s an amazing recipe for mung beans on Hey Nutrition Lady. Coconut curry mung bean soup. I ate so much of it I got tired of it. But everyone I gave a taste too loved it. Instant pot or stovetop recipe is listed.

I love mung beans. Cook them in low sodium chicken broth FIRST until they are soft. Next, Sautee some onions and garlic, add in the cooked mung beans, add more low sodium chicken broth, and season with Turmeric, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper and a splash of lemon juice 😋 💖
Mung beans are called unsplit green mung dal in India. This is the only dal that has a negligible amount of carbs and is the greatest keto food ever. It is also called a superfood. It can be sprouted and eaten in many delicious ways. I know a very yummy way of making this. It falls in the legume family. Indian green Mung is made in many delicious ways. Let me give you all an Indian recipe. Grind tomatoes, onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic, and put some coriander powder, some cumin powder, and turmeric powder along with black pepper powder while grinding it. Heat oil put a bay leaf, dried red chilly, and some cumin seeds. Once they splutter put the paste and let it cook for some time, let the raw smell go away, then put the Green Mung in the mix along with some water and let it cook, once the Mung becomes a little soft put some plain curd or yogurt in it and mix it thoroughly. Cook for some time, and once the Mung is done, put 1 teaspoon of Ghee in it and mix it again. Ghee is clarified butter. Trust me, it's yummy. Hope you try. I prefer Mung a little less cooked. But it's your choice. P.S: salt according to your taste.
My sister boiled mung beans + 1 glass of water with small fire level gas stove. She do every day and drink every morning. The result, she pregnant for baby no.2. After 5yrs waiting for 2nd baby..
I love mung beans, just started eating them, cook so fast compared to other beans. I cook them with quinoa, mushrooms, veggies and spices. Very filling and satisfying. Recently learned there are mung bean noodles that I'm excited to try. Edit: mung bean noodles are so so, still prefer rice noodles.
You can cook the mung beans like any other bean. Is oriental way too. Glass Noodles (clear when cooked) are made from two different Resistant starches. Mung Bean and Sweet Potato
I am not sure if these are the same but in India it is known as Moong a type of lentil . We make dal which is eaten with rice or chapatti . It is very popular among Bengalis as Moong dal .
Yuppp, even ancient wisdom, Ayurveda recommends these kind of beans soup. Moong particularly being easier to digest than other beans. Well cooked moong beans dish called 'usal' is eaten commonly in Maharashtra state of India
Whole Foods grocery stores have soup bars and they’re usually organic but a bit pricey, in my opinion. Good soups though. And they offer many of the items ,if not all, in their store.
Is Expiry amoxicillin good to use ? This is only my query because lots of my friends used so only for information point of view I want to know clear answer .
It's excellent, but be careful, do your research, and be aware that some people do better with it than others and it depends on what you specifically eat. Dr. Ken Berry is a great resource. The best week I've had in recent memory (in regards to health) was when i went strict keto/carnivore for a week. I was 95%+ carnivore, but i kept stuff like seasonings and a little bit of homemade sauerkraut. I think the main advantage of carnivore is that you cut out SO many things that could be causing health problems, and what's left over is really healthful, well tolerated nutritiously dense foods like eggs and beef. They say egg is a common allergy, but I've NEVER even heard of a single person who's allergic, and it's a complete protein with lots of great nutritional value. Every body is different tho, so mostly i think following common sense stuff like stay away from refined sugars and carbs, eat natural, whole foods, get some variety to ensure you're getting all the various nutrients you need, eat sensibly, proper portions, and listen to your body, maybe even keep a diary to track what foods your body tolerates best. Oh, and eat liver, but that's great advice whether you do carnivore or not, it's just so incredibly healthy. I've heard it's great to mix it in with ground beef but i haven't tried it personally. Also you could do liver capsules.
Any indian grocery store or even some Costco locations sells them. I find these and other Indian food items at chalo freshco, no frills and food basics. I guess it depends on the area these stores are located in.
