This is one of the most important pieces of the function flow in my opinion!! I truly believe it’s impossible to have a successful idea (that involves others) without it. Granted I’m biased because I do have Te in there.... but holy shit honestly it makes sense.
I saw this video when it first went up, but it showed up again in my feed today and just reading the title "Does this work for everyone" made my existential frustration suddenly so clear - as an INFP I have this low grade desire to make things work for everyone (inferior Te) but at the same time I know so acutely (Fi) that everyone is different and has different needs. These are incompatible at scale, and though I can ignore that day to day, but I can't let it go at a deeper level. Luckily I am fascinated with paradox....
Yeah. So this was a big problem when I thought I was going to design websites for people (small businesses). I found out many of them wanted what they wanted and not necessarily what I offered! In some cases I would try to accommodate them which mostly worked. In other cases it was, "Hey, can you do SEO for me for next to nothing?" I am a very accommodating person (Big 5 high in Agreeableness). I got frustrated enough that my Fi said, nope, I'm tired of doing constant Si which sucks for an ENFP. Only doing websites for a special few who don't cause problems :-) RUclips. Yeah, that's it. Lost in Ne land right now, but doing some Si and even Te. Gotta stick with it and we'll see...
And this is why companies pay for UX or usability experts to test their product with actual users over and over until they get it right. Then there's the next model that improves upon the first.
Definitely found myself watching this and saying why would you do this?? Why does this it matter what other people think of it doesn’t work for you. Haha I’m assuming I probably have Ti Because Fe made a lot more sense to me.
What function is associated with Always needing to have a reason or rationale behind every decision. I get very frustrated if people dont explain why they made a certain decision that affects me. My philosophy is that if a rule or command is not backed up with a reasonable valid explanation as to why its being enforced that it should not have been stated or enforced to begin with. Is this related to strong Te? Ive heard Te described as external reasons before or rationale. I believe myself to be an ENFP Ne-Te by the way with heavy blast and play.
Oof, this one hits a little hard. Not only do I feel like I suck at this but I don't really care if it works for anyone else lol. I definitely have a lot to work on.
For me Te causes impatience during painting. Because painting for so long doesn’t make any logical sense..... So it causes me to lose my focus and get bored, unless i ditch practicality and feel passionate toward my painting. That is when I can work for a long time.
I guess It's what I'm doing with MBTI, try to find a way to put a lot of theory I just saw, and explain how they are the same but they have different levels on abstraction.
Te dominants actually care about what other people think of themselves. They will go out and execute...work, marriage, children. Te dominant is quicker to execute too.
Andrew Shaw what’s it like being a te dom btw? I’m an fi dom and the idea of using Te first is foreign to me. My fi saviour attitude is “screw the tribe, I do what I want. This is my life and I have the right to live it my way.” Is Te saviour more like “I have to sacrifice my desires for the needs of the many. I have a responsibility in society and I need to live my life in a way that works for and benefits the people around me”? Do you as a Te saviour tend to see Fi saviours as a bit selfish and irresponsible?
@@bananewane1402 as a Te-dom i can answer you. Yes. Definitely. I can give you a real life situiation - there was a problem once with mine and my bro's friends. He is Fi dom so he wanted just to solve the problem without considering anything, meantime i had 200 teories why we shouldnt go to them (they were on the party which was already somehow broken) and the first thought i had was "holy shit he is so irresponsible and stupid".
Do you believe in this blindspot or Polr function in socionics? Beeing the 7th function which you don't value nor understand why people would like it? I'm an Infj and therefore i have blind Te, I know what works for other people? and i even know what will confuse them? i can easily tell if someone did not manage to do something cause i left out information on the subject. I think this is somewhat wrong compared to the other ones that seem sufficient to me. I'm very bad at understanding finance and things in terms of how business work though. I think you might be interrelating ur Ni function with ur Te since your an INTJ. You should look more into how ESTJ differs from Intj's and entj's. Estj's use Ne as tertiery though so they might go using that in relation to TE but it's not the same process i don't think they personaly know what works for other people i think they might speculate what works for other people. That seems internal inconsistent to me. If you were to add some sort of Polr function to objectivepersonality system you might have to look into more what Te is actually on its own and see if its actually what you think it is, not that i'm any more sure of what it is on its own.
ENXL 994 you do in the category of relationships but I highly doubt you could execute a business plan without getting caught in the details of Ti wanting every which way method to work. Te can do that more easily (even if it can be less sustainable)
Yeah that's right Enfps have both of those functions too.. Yeah i do struggle with things in that matter and i always question most things in order to understand and connected them to something to be able to memorize it i process things very slowly and i can't learn anything in under 15 minutes it has to ruminate in my brain for sometime. Well i do get disinterested in things that aren't in the category of relationships. This video is so interrelated with "people" though and of course "people" will always be the conversations cause nothing will move places and no decision will be made without a decision maker. In order for people not to mistype themselves i feel like the difference between TE AND FE should be stretched further apart cause by these information if i wasn't already sure i was an INFJ i'd probably think i could be an INTJ. Then again i'm Te blind so maby it just hard for me to see.
I think it has some sort of connection. In OP, the 3rd function is an issue but what drives people is the 4th. Now, the 3rd does feel blind because the 4th is so unbearable. I’m 3&4 SiTe. So I have a shit ton of issues working with people. The Si holds me back at times still with the work, even though I can do the work myself.
EDIT: Te has legitimate uses in entrepreneurship and in politics. There it is important to use Te. Don’t use Te for personal matters For example I want to *not* cohabit in any future relationship because it spoils the fun; people get mad at each other over the laundry or the dishes or something stupid. It would be easier for me to run a house independently. Does that work for everyone? No, of course not! Does that matter? No, not really.
As someone who has Ni primary, and Te, secondary, It can be a hard for us to understand sometimes. Ideas have to come from somewhere, and they have to be thought through prior to implementation. Proof of concept.

Yep. Results must be as objective as possible.

Estj all day long.
Estj!

Not that it doesn’t exist. But that it exists in a more abstract sense. For example theories. The why not the what. It’s a bunch of conclusions
