Your acting skills are so on point, Kristin. It's easy to distinguish each function. I live with two ISTJs, so their high TE is rampant in situations like these. That does sound like a problem but I kind of get it, sometimes people want to slow down and think about something or put it off even though it's clearly the right choice but other times they have a legitimate issue with it or a hunch that ended up being right.
@@banderivets_z_podilya I believe Te is not about being reasonable, but rather about being efficient. It might look worse or not even work at all anymore, but the job is done quickly without too much effort.

LOL, this is so fricking accurate! I get why it can be hard to understand how Ti users process analysis and make decisions. As a Ne-Ti axis user I know I can drive Te doms crazy, mostly because our thought process can be random and extensive to a point we're not sure it's worth trying to explain all the factors and subjective impressions that are going on in our mind. Sometimes, when we do, Te users try to simplify it all and it can be frustrating for us too how they're missing all the details and disregarding our personal assessment of whatever logic we're following.

Oof me too! Te wants to get it done so we can relax to ensure it's done. It makes us scared to leave things to last minute because what if things go wrong and there isn't enough time? We'll be anxious about it for weeks. In this situation I prolly leave the piano to Ti user if they protested this much, but if it doesn't get done on time, I'd be like "oh well" and not care at all because Ti wanted to assume the risks of not getting it done on time so let them deal with the consequences. My bestfriend is an ISTJ and I am an INTP, when we decided to buy smth...she always ask everyone and making comparison which one the cheapest one and so on and so forth. She also double checking the rating and review of the shop and product. She did it as soon as possible, like so restless if she want to buy smth. My decision making is more personal, I didn't ask everyone else like she did because my decision making is solely only me who can decide. I need considerable amount of analysis, also I have to analyze my own financial problem before I decided to buy it. My ISTJ friend is quicker from me when she making decision. The thing I always ask is how she gonna pay it, did she have money? How much money available for her to eat and so on and so forth. She can be more impulsive than me somehow. I am very slow to make a decision, usually I make those decision at the last minute lol.
I don't think not taking one's financial situation into account is normally an ISTJ trait, that could be more upbringing or something, or they could be better at finances than you realize because they budget beforehand and already know if they can afford it or not. As an ENFP I can definitely relate more to Te user in this video even though it is only my third function. But sometimes I wish I would use it more because when I do I can be extremely productive. Doesn’t happen too often though. I still procrastinate too much. 😅
Strange, I'm an INFP with Te in the fourth slot. The Te user in the video seemed so illogical and rushed to me! I much more related with the Ti user...
@@magnificentsven1694 The slot that a function is in isn't completely related to how often you use that function. Each function is associated with a different region of the mind, according to Jung. My Te hubby wouldn't even consider calling someone else to move it! This conversation wouldn't even happen because he gets up at 4am daily and would have already moved it by himself by 6am.

The Te in the Video: *tries to get it done as soon as possible* Me, a Te: *procrastinates to do other stuff until just enough time is left to do the thing I'm supposed to do so that I won't slack off as much* I mean, whatever works out, I suppose.
The Te dom was getting so much on my nerves, like, holy shit. I'm an Aux Ti user (ESTP), and grew up with Te dom parents. It was pretty much like this.
This is the dynamic between me (Ti) and my wife (Te). She wants it done right now, I'd rather get around to it as I take some pockets of time to do comparisons and mull over it and then get t it. Just last night she was asking me to do something right there and then, when it wouldn't even matter until two days from now. I'm like, "I need to figure some stuff out, and I have two days, so what is the big deal." To her, "I don't want to worry about it!" Lmao.
NiTe, yes I'm allergic to procrastination. But I can whip up a plan pretty quick so I'm not running in completely half-cocked. When both our cars were going out, I learned how cars worked, how to DIY oil changes to run through my oil treatments, what the obd codes meant, typical repair time a shop would ask and ultimately how to find the best car at the top of the market when the cost was just too much. Got myself a lovely 98 Crown Vic within a few days, 81k miles, $4.5k. Civilian model so low idle hours. Cleaned the dusty brakes, replacing the accessory belt this spring, and keeping an eye on the suspension. It just feels so good to get 'er done. But yes, with proper research. Thanks Ni, you're Te's best teammate.
Well, first thank you for this kit 🙏 Second, as an ISTJ, if I have (well, or assume that I have 😬😅) enough of time, I will always do the research first how to Do a thing (Si), because I came up with a whole lots of contradicting information, until I can synthesize a lot info as possible to came to a general way of Doing this thing in the righteous way (without ANY unnecessary consequences, because that costs resources). Until that, which can take me LOT of time, I can't Do the thing (Te). That can apply if there has been no strict deadlines.
I wished for that video to come, so I have a relatable accurate example to give when I explain the difference between Te and Ti in a sketch, where it's quite clear. Another example I had was a conversation between ESTJ and ISTP couple where the ESTJ was focusing on WHAT will get the job done but the ISTP was questioning HOW does this works and made a research to it. Personally I see Ti in myself when I am working on projects and devices trying to figure them on my own instead of following the most common way, if I am not convinced it is indeed better. And of course overanalysing things is the thing I spend most of my time doing.
I love my IxTJ dad likes to get things done, but yes he can rush too quickly and can sometimes make silly mistakes like this. I get rushed too, but I can be more cautious about pricing and reading reviews in a situation like this. My ESFP mother would love the idea of moving the piano herself though.
As an infp I feel the annoyance of Ti, I guess because of my Si and because of how pushy and Se Te seems, yet lowkey want the energy of Te to just be so eager to get shit done. But mainly, I find this whole thing really quite funny because I never have conversations like this and it's almost alien.
oh my god, this is totally a summary of my relationship with my parents all these years in one video. They are both Te dom and I am infj, and we always had a lot of fights due to the different way of dealing with things.
this is so interesting and explains so much. i have te and it's super relatable to do random thing just to do it and then relax. and if it happened to be bad just do other thing
This video helped me zone in on my mbti type - now I need to figure out if I am entp, intp, istp or estp. I will wait for the next sketch to determine my result 😎
I suggest you try some online tests rather than going function by function. For example, I use Te but it's my 4th function and my other functions take the lead in terms of taking time to think things through. So I related way more to the Ti user here.
I'm so glad you finally did the Te/Ti episode, I'm supposedly an INFJ and have been trying to better understand what Ne is and how it's different to Ni, what Si is ... And what the doodle is Te or Ti. Now you've left me with more queations. What is the difference between Ti and Ni? And Te vs Se Lmao can you tell I'm trying to understand my third and fourth functions?
Well I can say with certainty that the largest difference between the pairs in question is that they each include a sensing and a judging function. The sensing functions (any functions that involve S or N) are about how you take in information, while the judging functions (they are the T and F guys) are about how you process information to make decisions.
I have Te as secondary fxn, but I wouldn’t consider moving somebody else’s piano to be any of my business unless they asked me for help or advice. But for my own piano, yes, I’d either move it myself or find help asap to get it all over with and relax 🍻

It's crazy to think (in a good way) that you can even form a bond of trust with someone you personally despise, even if the relationship might be very complicated. It's still possible to work together and do great things. I think that gives food for thoughts regarding connections.
The way the Te-dom stressed me the f out immediately.

Your last sentence gives me total annoyance by reminding me of some bosses I had that promised customers more work than my group could do at a certain point.

This is the dynamic between me (Ti) and my wife (Te). She wants it done right now, I'd rather get around to it as I take some pockets of time to do comparisons and mull over it and then get t it. Just last night she was asking me to do something right there and then, when it wouldn't even matter until two days from now. I'm like, "I need to figure some stuff out, and I have two days, so what is the big deal." To her, "I don't want to worry about it!"
Lmao.
As an INTP who plays piano, I felt that lol
"How hard can it be" must be the famous last words of ENTJs & ESFPs.
Gosh, Te is terrifying and this Te was very triggering for me. Lol. Very good representation of the functions.
Well, first thank you for this kit 🙏
Second, as an ISTJ, if I have (well, or assume that I have 😬😅) enough of time, I will always do the research first how to Do a thing (Si), because I came up with a whole lots of contradicting information, until I can synthesize a lot info as possible to came to a general way of Doing this thing in the righteous way (without ANY unnecessary consequences, because that costs resources).
Te: "i'll call the guy so we can rest easier"
Me: *PTSD*
I love my IxTJ dad likes to get things done, but yes he can rush too quickly and can sometimes make silly mistakes like this. I get rushed too, but I can be more cautious about pricing and reading reviews in a situation like this.
My ESFP mother would love the idea of moving the piano herself though.

And Te vs Se
Lmao can you tell I'm trying to understand my third and fourth functions?
Well I can say with certainty that the largest difference between the pairs in question is that they each include a sensing and a judging function. The sensing functions (any functions that involve S or N) are about how you take in information, while the judging functions (they are the T and F guys) are about how you process information to make decisions.
I have Te as secondary fxn, but I wouldn’t consider moving somebody else’s piano to be any of my business unless they asked me for help or advice. But for my own piano, yes, I’d either move it myself or find help asap to get it all over with and relax 🍻
