They're both too expensive.
Hard picks for soccer mom
I guess I don't see how Ford is falling behind? They have more power and torque and a new look.
Edit: I stumbled across this video 9 months later. Nice to know it's still here. Lmao
Well it looks like Sh** for starters… reliability on the new power strokes isn’t what they use to be etc.
@Mike Honcho looks are subjective, too. While I don't exactly love the new look, it isn't ugly to my eyes.
That and there is a reason the 6.7 powerstroke is still around 12 years later. Because it is fairly reliable Power plant. That and developing a new diesel engine is expensive in a world that is uncertain if we are gonna be driving ICE cars in the next 20 years.
@@mikehoncho4472 GM trannys don’t last over 100k. I’m a technician for a gmc dealer 🙃

Still trying to figure out how Ford’s headlights are rounded off.
Lol. I’ve never owned a truck and I caught that too.
“Fords super rounded headlights.”
Like, Wut? They’re actually probably the most squared headlights of any vehicle on the market. Or at least that I can think of.
Literally the most squared off headlight I have seen 😂😂😂
They're rounded off compared to the previous one dummy
He was referring to the trim around the headlight it is very round irl
I assume he was talking about the curves?
You forgot the most important part: They both cost as much as a decent house did 9 years ago.
Bro is definitely the type of guy not to get bed liner.
Yea bro cause you definitely need a bed liner to carry your groceries
@@BillyBlock17It helps regardless of what you do with your truck
@@BillyBlock17bro the purpose of buying a truck is to have a functional utilitarian vehicle capable of doing various tasks. Need to help someone move? Done. Need to pickup furniture cause you don't want to get shafted by delivery fees? Done. Want to go camping with all your cooking gear, tents, etc? Done.
Of course there's an added bonus of aesthetics but go ahead and try doing any of the above with a compact SUV. As for large SUVs, you're essentially buying a pigeonholed truck at that point. Chasis is most likely truck, but unlike a truck you can't remove the camper shell cause it's all part of the body from factory.
@@Redditor6079couldn’t think of a worse vehicle for moving furniture.
@@PiOfficial you're absolutely right! Better to just stuff that brand new furniture in an SUV or a car, better yet strap it to the top so everyone on the road knows that you don't know what you're doing and to avoid you.

You sealed the deal with the Ford having extremely significant more horsepower and torque and 2 straight axles. No "HD truck" even in the light duty class has a damn IFS. Nuff said
I think the 2019+ ram 1500s have it
@@xCkillaxC the only "HD trucks" even in the light duty segment that have 2 straight axles are the Ram 2500s and above and thr F250 and above. Infact there are only 3 vehicles left in total that come with 2 straight axles. The jeep wrangler being the 3rd

I personally own a 2012 Raptor with the 6.2L boss engine, it has 184K and it runs like a dream. Ive seen many chevy 5.3L V8s fail before 120K with collapsed lifters and the 6.2L LS Gm engine Ive seen fail with as few as 80-85K miles.

Gmc is primarily a luxury brand. Ford has luxury trucks, but they do not have a true luxury branded truck, as they discontinued that a long time ago. Fords trucks are meant to be work trucks. Gmc can be work trucks, but you never really see that and they know thats not their market. Ford isnt falling behind, these trucks serve 2 different purposes.
Brand new, nice.
My 2021 f150 lariat has one of the best interiors I’ve seen I love it
I'm gonna have to hard disagree with you here. GM trucks is what I want in a work truck. But a Denali has nothing on a platinum
GMC became more of a luxury brand in the mid to late 90s before that they where considered for medium/heavy duty use like cab overs and 5500-6500 trucks so no GMC is not primarily a luxury brand they still offer base model work trucks.
@@Timmyval123 platinum is a upper mid level trim. You can option a lariat out like a platinum. The limited is the highest end trim. Platinum is still nice . Of course ford makes luxury trucks and of course gmc makes work trucks. The original poster has no idea what he’s talking about. You can get a gmc base model optioned just like the Chevy base model.
I’ll preface this by saying that I’m not brand loyal and currently own a ram. The ford looks better, it has more power, a better drivetrain, and the infotainment system doesn’t freeze constantly like the GM does. He made exactly zero arguments on behalf of the GM. 🤣🤣🤣
GM infotainment doesn't freeze at all, the previous headunits that came in the last 5-10 were slow or delayed. But the ones in the new redesigned truck are super quick, a lot more responsive then ford.

Ive hauled more than that with a 6.6… more than enough power to maintain speed up hills. We went from NH to MO, no problem.
Until it grenades
Who’s concerned with being quick pulling a 15K trailer??
We had a new Duramax and a 6.7. Both great trucks but the 6.7 ate the 6.6 alive when pulling in the hills
GMC won’t have trouble with towing that
Still prefer ford because of the design and better reliability
That’s funny that Fords mid trim lariat is better in every way compared to a fully loaded gmc 😂
A fully loaded gmc is the Denali ultimate not the at4
So basically ford makes a more useful truck in the fields of work it's built for but yet it's falling behind because GM keeps getting rid of all the work associated things and replacing them with luxury bs that you can also get in the ford minus OnStar which is shit and a pain in the ass on its own
Yeah this guy is more of a consumer not really a you know a tradesman or something He's more like I like this truck has Bluetooth and not all I like this truck can haul more than the last generation
The GMC can do just about everything the Ford can do in the “fields of work”. The design actually warrants its price point as it is a better well rounded premium work truck. It’s undeniably nicer than the Ford. Another FF *Ford fanboy* pissed off reviewers aren’t giving Ford credit for squeezing the most power out of their power plants and reliability suffering because of it solely to win a “power number on paper” war.
It’s the same reason y’all are PRESSED GM hasn’t acknowledged the Ford Raptor segment. They built a Cadillac Escalade V instead which Ford can’t compete with. Continuing to be unbothered and paying Ford Raptor complete and utter dust. It’s not about who can produce the most power because if GM wanted to play that game they’d win _it_ too. This is the same company who just built the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated V8. SLAP YOURSELVES.
@G-Rated but yet I had to turn my 2023 gmc 3500 SLE with the integrated pto into my run around truck because it couldn't handle as bad of terrain as my 4 2022 f350's with non high output 6.7s. Ford has proven their use for me and my line of work and chevy/gmc hasn't been able to handle it. I don't care what any chevy tard says the f350 is and always will be the best option unless you're a yuppie crab bucket or a soccer mom
@@G-Rateddid read your whole comment, but when it comes to a truck that is going to be put to work, for me it’s almost always going to be ford, solid front vs IFS becomes a pretty big difference for a work truck

In my opinion, since 2019 GM has messed up the design of thier trucks. Ford has a classy design which i like much more.
The Ford looks fucking horrible lmao. But I agree, I liked GM trucks for their square/rectangle designs, which peaked in 2016-18. Ford was looking pretty good for 17-22 but did a 180 on the ‘23 to give it the ugliest fascia ever designed on an American truck.

So the ford makes more power and has a stronger solid front axle but you're giving credit to the gmc because of looks.... Totally make sense
Inferior truck with more power you say? Who cares. *gm* lost interest in the power numbers on paper war a long time ago. They’re focusing on quality, long term reliability and efficient performance. The Sierra HD doesn’t need 1,200 ft. lbs of torque in order to be a superior truck to the Ford HD.
@@G-Rated lmfao you think GMC is quality... that's why a used GMC sierra drops in value drastically every year while the ford f350 still has a price tag similar to MSRP. And clearly you don't know anything about trucks. Both of these trucks are meant for heavy load towing and the gmc sierra is inferior in every way for what it's built for. You are the typical US consumer..sees something shiny so it must be better.
It isn’t though. GM material quality is below Ford, GM towing is below Ford, Ford’s seats are among the most comfy in the industry, and the tech it comes with is more functionally useful than the GMC. Not to mention that the grille on the Sierras that aren’t the 1500 all look ugly as shit.

GM still not better. 😂😂 IFS in an HD truck? What kind of crap is that?
GMC selling a 3500 HD truck with independent front suspension is laughable… Ford wins on that fact alone.
You misspelled loses. Give me one good reason an IFS is a downgrade? Straight axles belong in the 1800s.
Ok for the last time they both have IFS. Chevy simply has control arm style while Ford has Beam style, and it is definitely true that beam style is more durable. But its still IFS, and both brands have had IFS on their trucks since the 60's.
@@josephg41 “simply has control arm style” don’t try and minimize the difference between the two.
It’s colloquially understood that a solid tube axel w/knuckles and radius arms is a “solid axel”. Meanwhile the control arm style suspension w/cv axels and rubber boots can also be found on a Honda Civic.
@@tarnantula While thats true, solid axle Is traditionally and more accurately an axle on which the two wheels cannot move independently from the other, and in that sense, no modern light duty truck has a solid axle, And they haven't for some time. Not trying to minimize the difference between control arm and Beam style, Beam style is inherently much more durable always has been. All I'm saying is that there is no "Solid axle" on a modern light duty truck, they all have Independent front suspension, the difference is how each brand accomplishes that.
@@Furyswipesbecause they are more durable for pulling/ 4x4 offroading. Although I don't think someone who spends 90k on a truck would do much offroading. Also please stfu, you have said so much about how solid front axles are bad and why ifs is much better in other comments on the topic. The truth of the matter is ifs rides better while a solid front axle is more durable. Proof of this is that many jeeps and other off-road and heavy duty vehicles of the like, along with military trucks use a solid front axle. That should be reason enough to prove the durability of a solid front axle setup. Ifs is a more comfortable ride, but it is not usually better for heavy duty or off-road conditions unless you are building a prerunner or pulling heavier loads on occasion. But I know you aren't trying to factually argue, you are a gm fanboy that doesn't like when your favorite truck brand is shit on, which is pathetic. Trucks are trucks. Some are better for things that others aren't and that's the way it is. It is pointless to turn the truck world into a dick measuring contest because of brand loyalty and fanboying.

Power stroke sure ain’t fallin behind tho, damn. Wonder when GM is gonna put out a 1000+ ftlbs torque with the DMAX.
I'm actually going to say they can get 1000 ft lbs but might be limited drive limited. An extra 2 psi would have pushed it past 975 ft lbs of torque but the transmission didn't take it kindly during testing.

Not entirely true. GM actually uses a lot of aluminum body panels on their trucks. The bed is still made of steel unless you get the carbon fiber bed but if you destroy that you’ll wish you hadn’t bought it. But aluminum’s way more resistant to corrosion. And the ads gm put out about how much stronger the steel bed it’s were proven by many third parties to be rigged to make the fords bed look a lot more fragile than they actually are .

Obviously falling behind when they can’t even get a high trim level out anymore and the 2023s are missing hood liners and missing folding rear head rest and cheaper inside materials
GMC, the company where there most recent years of trucks are blowing up left & right with tons of other issues, is outdoing Ford, whose only problem is usually technology issues with there recent years of trucks?
Not only do you do subpar shorts with lackluster showing of vehicles compared to other vehicle reviewers, you also throw some stupid takes out as well.
Those takes may get you click’s & comments, but it’s not getting you any subscribers, or people who will stick around that’s for sure…
FORD FANATICS SAY THE SILLIEST OF THINGS - you ok over there?
Write another paragraph on a RUclips short so I can also not read that
@@hellboy-xo9ho You’ll still drop a whiny comment under it for me though right?
@@tehclefty5317 the funniest thing to me is when people write essays online
Bro also the solid front axle is actually better for towing
This guy: Calls square head lights round. 😂😂😂
It's a Lariat.
this is a terrible review lol
I’ve driven the ford. It has so much torque it’s crazy. It’s fast as hell for a 3500 series. I think it’s faster than my 2020 10 speed 2wd f-150 with a 5.0. It might not be but damn it pulls.
GMC can make their trucks look at cool as they want, they'll never replace Ford as a work truck, and that's where the money is.
Of course the most comparable gm fully loaded at4x vs a Fx4 lariat
Literally not even an AT4X lol, at4s ccome that loaded and that was a decently loaded lariat. And you know whats funny that lariat costs more
@Thepedell came here to say just that. I have that 24 GMC 3500 AT4, definitely not an X (i wish though)
@@lawnchair76 how do you like it? I have an ultimate dually coming in 2 weeks. And excited but nervous
@Thepedell I absolutely love it. Don't have the space in the garage for a dually but you will be happy for sure. I also don't like chrome so the AT4 was the easiest to delete the remaining chrome. And mine fully loaded was just under 88k.
@lawnchair76 was actually the whole reason I went with ultimate can't stand the damn chrome. The black chrome looks nice though. Definitely gonna strip/coat whatever is left to have to flush. Great to hear though and enjoy it!
Ford will always be superior when it’s comes to work trucks
Thank God I will buy one for myself
Ford got a face only a mother could love
It will still outsell the GMC 😂😂
Aerodynamics has left the chat :)
When ur towing aerodynamics doesn’t mean anything
@@logandavies5950 duh!!!
Sounded like you weren’t really comparing but telling us the specs and really emphasizing that you like the ford better.
The ford did significantly better in off-road applications. I would personally still pick the gm
