- In this video I’m gonna show how to fix a Xbox 1 controller were there buttons or analog sticks are not working / messed up. I have used this method on several Xbox controllers and most of the time it works .
Worked for me thx now I can actually sprint in video games

Holy crap this worked. My left analog stick wasn't registering straight down. Did this for like 15 seconds and bam. Working again. Thanks!

@@papikodino6794if you still haven’t fixed it you should blow air into the analog stick by pushing it up and moving the stick in the opposite position of where you’re blowing
I’ve tried everything except taking my controller apart which I don’t want to do.
Bro if your buttons are sticky take a q tip and rubbing alcohol and rub the q tip around the button and then just spam the button it works for me

On forza I'm the guy that doesn't have a lot of track time and mainly spend that time painting 🖌️🎨. When I found out my controller had stick drift I nearly shit a brick. I don't have the extra to splash out on a new controller and not good enough at putting things back together after taken apart. THANKS FOR THIS BRO!!!
What I recommend is get rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip and rub it around the button that’s sticky. Then, spam the button that’s sticky around 50 times or so to get the rubbing alcohol in their. After a bit of that, dry it with the other side. That should fix it. Also, if you do this, take out your batteries just to be safe.

Left stick would register on and off when holding up. Honestly thought this would not work cos I've messed with it a lot but it did so cheers 😂

What if it’s not moving?
Do what do I do if I have an elite controller and can't pull up on the analog sticks? My left stick is unresponsive and I really don't want to take it apart, specifically moving it up and down doesn't work but moving it side to side does, I looked at it in Xbox accessories and going up or down was extremely slow, it works in game but it starts off slow and I have to wait like 2 seconds to sprint, in the menu it's pretty much unresponsive unless I hold it down

Both of my analog sticks work just fine, but one of them feels loose than the other . The other analog stick feels more aggressive. Again, they both work fine, but they just feel different every time I move them
It does not completely stop analog drift but it calmed it down a lot thx man ur the best
Little tip pull it out and then blow as hard as you can into the analog stick where it connects to the controller it completely stopped mine so you just want to clear out the dust

@@elisha7532 no there like if i hold it up my character sometimes wont move until i try it again its very inconsistant now its something to do with the deadzone they are fine from the settings but the controller has the problem and it has been really pissing me off lately and this problem started to occur about 3-4 months ago

For me it was when I clicked the joystick down nothing happens in games I have something binded to it in but what I did to fix it is blow really hard in there and just pull the analog stick up and down like he said also flicked it hard in every direction then kept pulling it up and down

Guys dont do this, this method actually makes it worse, pulling it up can lead to the joystick not responding well due to the fact that you pull it up alot
If you pull it up push it down hard if it’s not responsive it pops back into place if you put high pressure (don’t break it tho)
@@australium7374 if your controller doesn't respond when you try and sprint, your joystick has food stuck inside of it, you should clean it up

And as well another trick i did was lean the analog on the elite controller all the way to the side so u can see a gap and blow all the way around it and shake it mine worked again
I bought mine brand new at Target and was disappointed to discover the left analog stick and LT toggle move physically but don’t scroll on my console. I get a jittery screen from the analog toggle when I try and go down. I’m actually surprised Microsoft isn’t testing these controllers more thoroughly considering the business they’re doing.

I just got a Xbox series s brand new out of the box and the right toggle will not register a simple down click. I've tried this method on the video. I've tried to lift up on the toggle and blow whole moving it in all directions for awhile. Pretty sure I have a defective controller at this point. Cool video though. Reminds me of the Nintendo days. Lol

@@Mottbox no, it really did the trick. But in my case, it was temporary... after a while i really had to take the controller to the shop, as it would not stop spinning, and it's still in the warranty.
@@Mottbox I never had a gaming console before, never played with controllers. My kids gave the controller with a problem, i went online and got a temporary fix. The author is just trying to help people in need. What for you is something natural, for others that never used controllers, have to learn these small tricks.

if you have the problem i have when your left analog stick doesn't work push it up then blow around the edges and it works as it did for me XD

Ok So what I did to fix my controller was like get the joystick and like wobble it around then I would blow in it then pull it up then push it down kinda hard then it worked 😀
I hate Xbox one controllers bc of this tho how tf does something break off in there and it had been in there for half a year but only yesterday it got in like that

If your joysticks are moving on their own, you need to throw the controller away and take it far away. Your controller is haunted, or possessed

I thought this video was really dumb, and I was dumb in the end because it worked. I found that if I pressed really hard on the l3 I could sprint so i just spammed on the pull up pull down method and it worked to a T. Everyone should try this before buying a new controller

I have The elite controller in the left stick feels like when I move it it’s on sandpaper
I’m doing this and it’s not working I play Fortnite and when I try to crouch or slide it take a long time for me to do it and I tried this and the time got shorter but it still doesn’t do it on command and I tried cleaning it.

I personally highly recommend using Auto tac sprint it’s makes things way easier and better. However, it will take some time to get used to. But trust me once you get used to it you’ll never want to click to sprint again.

Try cleaning it with a touch of rubbing alcohol (decent 70% solution) and a q-tip (cotton bud for those brits out there) and manipulating the stick round in circles, then in a star shape. It should help clear the issue better.
If it keeps sticking, then you're looking at a bigger problem that needs a much more detailed clean and repair!
