I'd like to respectfully disagree with the point about subwoofer size. Smaller subs can definitely provide the base and larger subs also have the capability of providing tight snappy base for whatever your musical preference is. What matters more than speaker size is the design of the enclosure that you put the speakers in.

I will never forgive the installer guy who persuaded me to buy the Powerbass, 2 weeks later and it blew out, took me awhile to figure out PowerBass are not that great when it comes to power. I have a lifetime warranty so I come every month for them to "Fix" the sub. This was all before I really understood about audio setups, go for the sealed non powered sub
What would you recommend for a 01 gmc yukon xl sle have factory sub box 8" I got a pioneer radio came with 2 6.5 mid base speakers wanna amplifier speackes and install a 8" subwoofer I usually listen to Mexican music I have a soundstream $50 epicenter
I have a 2012 ram 2500 mega cab and I'm looking to put two twelves behind the rear seat. What shallow mount sub would you recommend? I've looked at the L7 ones, but I'm not sure if I want a square or round hole for my box....btw I listen to all types of music...thanks
Yeah L7 shallow is a great woofer. That would be great in that application. If you want to do round 12” go with the Audiomobile EVO12” if your interested give us a call at the shop and we could give you some details. But that woofer is awesome for all music and will be excellent in your truck.
In a 2021 accordI just put two rocksford fosgate p3s powered by a kicker 1K amp. Could they handle more power? Also do you think I should purchase a capacitor? Ty in advance
You’re good on power the 12s are 400 watts each and the 10s are 300 watts. A cap will keep the bass more constant by providing the amp with a more constant voltage. But won’t necessarily give you more bass. Sounds like your looking for more bass… is there a reason why you did shallow woofers? Typically you don’t get as much out of them as regular subs…
That question depends on what the stock the speakers in the car sound like. I would say if you're getting a box that's more than like 500 watts RMS then you might want to upgrade to stock speakers because the base may be much louder than the stock speakers and out of balance with the system as a whole. Real world I'd recommend getting the subs and the amp and see how the system sounds.You can always upgrade the stock speakers later if you need to.

15 are loud but not accurate. 12”s are recommend because they can play deep bass but accurate

They should review a bunch of different shallow mount woofers. Probably the most popular nowadays bc space is getting smaller and smaller every year
