Almost all modern cars come with a centre mounted dashboard speaker and I understand how FL- FR and RL - RR and tweaters hook up to the amp but how is the centre speaker connected?
Maybe consider what car you're putting the system into and what you want out of it. I.E: If you're driving a Hellcat with a super loud exhaust then expect the low end to get drowned out by that exhaust. Sound deadening is key. A quiet car = better sound. If you start with a quiet car then usually it will cost less to get a good sounding system. That is assuming you're not trying to be the DJ for the entire block.

You'll have to keep your original stereo and get that other thing. I can't remember what it's called that hooks up to it so you can run your amp and the speakers. I can't remember what it's called. I have thought the same in the last week and a half trying to do my own research. Especially CarAudioFabrications that is the worst channel ever. Like... I just want to see a 5 channel amp install with new speaker wires, 4 speakers, sub and an aftermarket head unit, with everything caught under camera. Apparently that is too hard to find. Half these guys are like: here's a double amp install with a sub woofer and a line out converter. 20 mins of talking and no install/troubleshooting footage
@@jac1793that’s what I’m looking for too I don’t wanna get the newest greatest stuff just a few new speakers a sub the 5 channel amp and the new head unit all re wired but everyone making these videos are experts and not some average joe that can explain in terms that make sense to me
this is all kinda crappy info. Gain doesn’t really work like that at all, gain doesn’t create distortion and shouldn’t be turned down like that. Overpowering a speaker is good but not for that reason. There’s a reason mosconi sells a 30Wx4 amp for 3 grand, it’s because with proper tuning, it’s some amazing 30 watts. 4V out of the head unit is just a random number, if you care that much use high-level signal. The vented vs sealed enclosure comparison is wrong, and vented boxes are tuned to a specific frequency. 10’s vs 12’s is just a stupid, meaningless comparison. Deadening is great but has nothing to do with making it act “denser”. Resonix is the best deadener material, not those two he named, as independently tested. CCA is fine if you understand the ampacity difference and want some massive cables in exchange for a tiny bit cheaper cables. It also shouldn’t cost 2-3 per foot, it’s $1 ish for 4 gauge and $4 ish for 0 gauge. For the front speaker question - don’t spend any money on rears, unless it’s $200 on a $10k install. tl;dr some good advice, some meaningless advice that sounds good. Little to no good reasoning even on the good advice - doing the right things for the wrong reasons, which is fine but shouldn’t be in a professional youtube video.
Damn.. you seem to know alot, which youtuber would you recommend i would look at to learn more about car sound systems? I want a aftermarket sound system for my 2008 Mazda 2 but have no idea if i have to spend $100 or $1000, I made a shopping list and its about $500 but I am not sure if that is overkill just for a reasonable good sound system or if it would be very good🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@faroerides7851 It’s tough. My old system was about 1k, worked amazing. Depends on what type of music you listen to. I had some help through the learning phase, I’m happy to try to help you as much as I can - if you’ve got contact info you want to share then go ahead, or I can just ask you some questions here
@@faroerides7851 as far as youtubers, Mark (caraudiofabrication) is great. Peter (pssound) is great but very advanced, not much of his stuff will apply to a simple/cheap system, he does very high quality installs with extensive custom work. Nerijus (raw-cat) is good, mostly measurements but you’ll find recs for inexpensive and high-performing parts. If you end up looking at higher-end stuff, closer to 5k or more, then Nick from Resonix will be able to tell you what to buy, and you can make it through the install watching caraudiofabrication videos. Some installers make very convincing but dubious videos, I’ve seen people run wires in high-friction areas like under bench seats, I’ve seen people wire through a fuse box, there’s some ridiculous stuff out there. The best advice is to just do everything in the exact same way the car manufacturer does it, run wires through their grommets and in their channels, etc.
You lost all credibility when you recommended oxygen-free cable. It’s a scam that makes the store more money off gullible customers. Exactly what kind of copper contains oxygen, since copper is, by definition, copper and oxygen is a different element on the periodic table?
I think what’s being proposed is that the copper is free of contact with oxygen… although I will agree that the oxidation in a “non-oxygen-free” that would render normal speaker wire audibly different is kind of long off distant possibility.
Copper that's not oxidized, aka, copper, is much higher quality than copper that is oxidized, AKA copper oxide. Any conductive material that becomes oxidized, also becomes an insulator. Simple chemistry and physics.
Start from under hood and do BIG 3 then work your way to the back. This is what I did. I hope all that work put in will give amazing results.. If not i'm gonna push this car off a cliff!
What would you recommend for jazz and 70’s RNB?😂

Half these guys are like: here's a double amp install with a sub woofer and a line out converter. 20 mins of talking and no install/troubleshooting footage
@@jac1793that’s what I’m looking for too I don’t wanna get the newest greatest stuff just a few new speakers a sub the 5 channel amp and the new head unit all re wired but everyone making these videos are experts and not some average joe that can explain in terms that make sense to me
@@jac1793although the crutchfield channel is pretty good at explaining how individual pieces work but they don’t really do projects and walkthroughs
this is all kinda crappy info.
My comment about other youtubers to watch got taken down, not sure why. Let me know your contact info and I’ll reach out
Useless for normal folks
You lost all credibility when you recommended oxygen-free cable. It’s a scam that makes the store more money off gullible customers. Exactly what kind of copper contains oxygen, since copper is, by definition, copper and oxygen is a different element on the periodic table?
I think what’s being proposed is that the copper is free of contact with oxygen… although I will agree that the oxidation in a “non-oxygen-free” that would render normal speaker wire audibly different is kind of long off distant possibility.
Using CCA is asking for dissimilar metal corrosion
Ofc carries more amps
I have used both I see no different only in the cost. But everyone has different preferences.
If not i'm gonna push this car off a cliff!
bull dos de 15 mejor que dos de 12 please lol .
