  • After some neglect on this pressure washer it was time for some maintenance. I noticed a small leak from the valve cover. This video will show you how to replace the valve cover and re-seal it so there is no longer a leak. I also go over some other maintenance for the unit. These small things will keep it in good running condition. Thanks for tuning in! ‪@RYOBITOOLSUSA‬ ‪@Honda‬ #handyman #handymanservices #handymantips #ryobi #pressurewashing #pressurewashers #honda #clean #cleaning #maintenance #smallengine #smallenginerepair #homedepot #tools

Got the same machine with the same oil leak, was worried. Glad to see it's a relatively simple fix.

I saw a lot of bad reviews on Home Depot for Ryobi Pressure Washers leaking oil (brand new models). I can understand one being 4 years old and leaking. BTW, I have a high school friend that is a small engine repairman and he always gaps the spark plugs.

Wondering if still leaking after use. Just took mine apart to investigate same oil leak and noticed there is a rod with an o-ring that goes in from bottom up through gear. I suspect leak may be coming from that o-ring instead.

It was ok then started again. You may be right! Most likely coming from that.

Same here. I fixed the gasket, then started leaking again. I will check the o ring. Any luck with that?

I have a 2800 psi Ryobi 2.3 and it is leaking oil from the carburetor when it is on, what could it be?

Came here looking for this because direct tools has all of these honda ryobis really cheap. like less than $250. If it's the valve cover gasket that is an easy fix....thank you for the video. Is your honda still leak-free a year later?

@@HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS i appreciate the reply and to anyone searching the internet with issues like this i fixed my pump. ended up being the o ring gasket on the oil inlet tube. 20 cent part, took off the inlet and it was completely missing the gasket.

Don't waste your money on premium. Those engines are meant to run on regular. The best benefit is to use non ethanol gas.

They do not sell replacement valve covers. So don't bend it! Haha!

So when I did a google search your video was the first and top on the list that came up only in my search I specifically stated Ryobi "Electric" Power Washer and it irks me to no end as to why Google ignored my search details. My problem is that my Ryobi is electric not Gas but yet I found an oil leak under it hence the reason why I searched as I was under the impression electric motors needed no maintenance, it's a closed system with no oil fill cap or reservoir. As far as my gas powered equipment, I service them all once and twice a year which keeps them up to par. Unfortunately this/your video was of no help to me in my case which stands to reason, Gas/Electric. I'm leaning to the fact that Ryobi is no more than disposable crap tools.
