Black women did start this so please stop - every and anything we do is stolen and appropriated! This is how and why the term cultural appropriation was created.
Alicia Durnin No Black women did start this. There is a different is having natural baby hairs which non black races have-FYI the concept of “laying edges” steams for kinky curly and orange the lack there of baby hair- hence they gel and the sculpting of the hair yo create an illusion of actual baby hair. the toothbrush method definitely coined and marketed by a black woman. Black culture and everything we do now days has become highly popular and that is ok however show some respect when mocking and mimicking our trends.
Alicia Durnin white girls don’t naturally have EDGES, they don’t have the hair type to do edges. They have small strands of hair that are attached to their full head of hair! I do hair and I know what I’m taking about

Hey everyone quick question Has anyone ever heard of the National Sunday Law? It's where one day they'll pass a law forcing us all to go to church on Sundays but the Sabbath is on Saturday so sabbath believers will have to refuse the Sunday low and rely on god. 🥰
So I’m Hispanic, and I only do my edges for when I have a ponytail u know cause my hair line is a no no. So me being stupid, could someone explain the “culture appropriation?”
Okay cultural appropriation is when your almost using/taking someone's culture. Black people all the time get called ghetto or rachted for our edges by white people. So for them to start doing edges even though they dont really need them. Is am example of cultural appropriation
Hmm..i mean its more offensive. For years black people have been and are still told our hair is ugly and we need to adjust to look more like white women by hiding our curly and kinky hair. Many people would be offended if some white person would be aloud to wear edges without any consequences, so..its not cultural appropriation but it is very offensive
Stop looking for approval, it's not even cultural appropriation everyone has edges smh it doesn't belong to one race at the end it's your hair and your choice.

Black women did not start this. Flamenco dancers did. And no,, im not racist. My step mother is a black woman and she is all i could ask for as a mother.
Thank you for reading this ✌︎('ω'✌︎ )
It’s so funny because the woman in the video is half black! Her mother is dark skinned & people in these comments are assuming she’s white lol
@@LeahBettyMichel what is her mother’s ethnicity?
I love how you guys use our cultural traditions of styling our baby hair, just to make your hairstyle look “complete”. INSPIRED BY BLACK CULTURE ‼️✊🏽🤧
Yep! Black culture
Alicia Durnin white girls don’t naturally have EDGES, they don’t have the hair type to do edges. They have small strands of hair that are attached to their full head of hair! I do hair and I know what I’m taking about
@Sins Marketplace No
@@callherkam but don’t all people have baby hairs? I’m pretty sure all people have baby hairs, it’s just a matter of texture. Like I white person typically has finer hair, so their texture may not be fit for edges, but they still have the hairs, correct me if I’m wrong
@@callherkam You don’t know what your talking about lmaooo

I looks sooo easy here so i did cut my long hair for looks like it baby hair now i became chucky 😂 (mb coz i’m asian who has very very firm and straight hair)
But,, can’t wait to try this later on!
just wondering if anyone could answer this, if a white girl did her edges like this would she look goofy ?
It looks dumb on some people but it looks good on others
Yuhhsiya yess lmao
It's rly for anyone who has curly hair bc the baby hairs are especially crazy looking than people w naturally straight hair
@@jagayzi5428 you sound dumb asf anyone can do there edges no matter the race or hair type
EnVy Windex your white baby your maddd. You know us black people got da juice !!😂😂period , y’all white People alwyas try to claim shi that ain’t yours from our , accent , Style, culture , ectt..
OK I really don't know how else to ask but do white women fix their babyhairs?
I might be a little to late but yes, edges are not cultural appropriation is just hair, in Brazil many "white" girls do edges or braids and no one says anything about it or complain
@@blueberrymilkkwo Incorrect SMFH- If you are NOT black please stop commenting and stay in your own lane. " everything about this video is cultural appropriating BLACK African American culture! Stop trying to imitate us please. Black culture is and was NEVER intended to be shared!

Yeah, it was popular to do so in 1920ies.
Can I get you thoughts on mixed girls doing edges
My mom is Indian and my dad is Coloured (half black, half white)
I just would like to get some opinions first incase I offend anyone 💕
I'm Mexican and I do my edges and nobody says anything about it
You would only offend people if you said you were coloured in another country. Lol
You don’t have to ask permission. It’s baby hairs, they’re not color or cultural specific
Make be because in America that's where they are exploited most and experience the most racism,I don't know, you tell me
It is culture and you wonder why we gatekeep, because stuff has a history and yall speak out of yalls tail and says it doesnt, like do you never feel silly?
Really helpful thank you
Lol sisters not twins.
Hey everyone quick question Has anyone ever heard of the National Sunday Law? It's where one day they'll pass a law forcing us all to go to church on Sundays but the Sabbath is on Saturday so sabbath believers will have to refuse the Sunday low and rely on god. 🥰
Well Done! Thank You! : )
edging
i approve this message
Does anyone know why my baby hair doesnt stay attached to my forehead😩😩
So I’m Hispanic, and I only do my edges for when I have a ponytail u know cause my hair line is a no no. So me being stupid, could someone explain the “culture appropriation?”
Okay cultural appropriation is when your almost using/taking someone's culture. Black people all the time get called ghetto or rachted for our edges by white people. So for them to start doing edges even though they dont really need them. Is am example of cultural appropriation
Another example when people thin their eyes to be "Asian" which is cultural appropriation and racism.
@@Anna-jl9iy ive never seen edges in specific called ghetto...why are edges "needed" anyways?
Edges are also part of Latin culture
@@Iianhua stop going around and saying this. Latin isn't a race. Latin Americans can be black, white, native, asian or mix with these races.
Girl you dont have no baby hairs lol
Exactly I'm confused
Edges are not just for black girls
I tried to do my edges but I did not work
Ariamna Alvarez try using a thin paddle bristle brush it’s more durable, but not all hair can be put into edges easily especially if it’s not curly
@@angelina_jay damn my hair is really straight but my baby hairs are fucking annoying me I dont know what to do 😩
i missss herrrrr where is she??
Thanks 🥲
support.
Ok so I tried so hard yesterday and I failed 😞
Hi just a quick question! Is it culture appropriate if a white person does their edges???
Hmm..i mean its more offensive. For years black people have been and are still told our hair is ugly and we need to adjust to look more like white women by hiding our curly and kinky hair. Many people would be offended if some white person would be aloud to wear edges without any consequences, so..its not cultural appropriation but it is very offensive
@@kairhie3624 Oh thank you very much. I north African and I'm not white nor black do you think I can still do edges??
Stop looking for approval, it's not even cultural appropriation everyone has edges smh it doesn't belong to one race at the end it's your hair and your choice.
@@cloydxx thank you so much. U do have a point :)
@@cloydxxrighttt? No hate but everyone has edges and I’m kinda scared since non black ppl gets hate doing their edges and we don’t do it to mock them. I just wanna do it cause my bby hairs are so annoying.
