The level sets didn't include nearly enough episodes to be that expensive. The second Blu-ray release breaking the whole thing into 9 sets was great execution, just too bad the transfer wasn't
The sad truth is most people actually prefer the cropped 16:9 ratio releases… I saw a review someone left on the 4:3 steelbook sets and was complaining they didn’t “fill” the screens like the orange bricks did…..
yeah the general public's opinion and more mainstream viewers opinion is definitely preferring the 16:9 format as only hardcore fans and Informed people know that the show should be In 4:3
@@Orenji-San the horrible remaster and dnr ruined the whole show much more than cropped aspect ratio in my opinion! Not saying I’m a fan of the cropped 16:9 I much prefer the native 4:3 but if the 16:9 cropped releases only did that and changed the aspect ratio it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever but the pathetic “remaster” is what ruined it the most for me!
Then he is a idiot because most modern tvs with also crop images some can do it without loosing picture True 16:9 actually allows you to see more As it's supposed to view More on the sides and not loose on the top and bottom
YAY! Thank youuuuu, I also do have episode 5 the final in scripting which goes through the anniversary blu rays. Also let me know if I should also go over the original series, GT, Super, and the movies 👀
There's the upcoming Walmart Exclusives that is about to be released in Feb 2022 as three Box sets (Seasons 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9) for $34.96 each. Will be on the lookout for it if this is worth getting over the limited steelbooks.
When are you going to do episode 5 covering the new 30th Anniversary Blu-ray edition/ 4:3 Blu ray steelbooks? it has been four years since you uploaded your last video
I’ve really enjoyed these videos! I’ve been thinking about giving my thoughts on the Pioneer movie DVDs, since I actually own them, and they have my favorite dub on them (not to mention some cool extras).
Thanks so much! I was also eventually going to go into every Dragon Ball form of media in this series! Which did include the pioneer movies, but hey go ahead and make a video on them. Maybe I can get the info from you? 🤣
@@Orenji-San no problem, also if I get ahold of the ultimate uncut edition DVDs of the first 3 movies, I may compare the dubs and special features, but I just got pioneer dead zone two days ago, so I’ll wait a little while. No, probably not although I would love for them to continued as I would definitely buy them all. The ones I own right now are more of a collector thing. I wouldn’t recommend getting them unless you don’t care about the price or find them for a good deal.
These are awesome however its such an annoying thing dbz never got a the complete series on bluray or dvd. Many other animes or cartoons have a complete series release

As someone who is a Big Fan but never got to experience DBZ until recently,I would recommend the Blu Ray 9 Season set. It has both Japanese and English Dub/Faulconer scores supported, the best image Quality outside of the Dragon Box Sets and the incomplete level Sets, and is at a very Reasonable price. I do enjoy the Main Menu Scores on the Blu Ray menus ,Colors are Vibrantly Beautiful, and the aspect ratio is better than the Orange Bricks, but not as good as the Level Sets or Dragon Box sets. A dream Home Media release for everyone would be The Dragon Box/Level set Quality with the "Previously on DBZ" and "next on DBZ" intros and outros, and the option to watch the Japanese Dub with Japanese Score,English Dub with Japanese Score, and English Dub and Faulconer Score.
Idk man. Some friendly criticism: Talk a little slower. Also, give your sentences time to breathe. You sound like you’re giving a presentation at school and are trying to speed through it so you can go sit back down. Don’t settle for a bad take. Do a retake and ask yourself, “Is this Totally Not Mark or Geekdom101 good?” Not saying you have to be them, but look at their presentation and strive to be better. You will be with practice and time. Edit better. This goes with the presentation. Alot of your sentences were cut off. Like, right when you’re about to end one sentence, the last word was cut off and the next sentence began. It’s super distracting and quite frankly, gave me a headache. Nor trying to be a dick, just giving a video and it’s uploader honest criticism. It’s funny, I just decided to look up “What DBZ Blu-ray I should buy,” and I watched a few already, then found this video. As I comment, this video has only been io 10 hours. So maybe it was destiny or something? Lol. Anyways yeah, I can tell you put a lot of work into this video, but you definitely gotta remake it someday. Maybe in a year after you’ve gotten better you can go back and talk about even more releases and stuff.
Hope the comment doesn’t come off mean spirited. I like finding passionate youtubers that actually do something and aren’t all talk. Its that work ethic and spirit that gets you a million subs. I’m literally just giving my two scented criticism.
@@DiddyKongVsLuigi I have always been trying to work on my talking and some videos i get it right, some i don't and i can't really tell myself. Also for the cuts usually almost all the time thats the words "um, so, yeah" and stuff like that being cut off and me breathing.
@@Orenji-San It’s better just to re-record rather than just cut off the “ums,” and “likes.” It’s harder in the long run than just a simple re-take. You could even do a bunch of little recordings if that’s what it takes. Tedious yes, but a worthy final product. Like I said, you’re gonna get better naturally. You’re kicking ass with all your uploads I see, but right now you’re training like Tien. Wouldn’t you rather be Goku? Lol. Strive for a better product and take a little extra time for that detailed care. A sub par video is bad forever, so delaying for perfection is worth it. Shigeru Miyamoto once said the same thing about making videogames. SEGA thought the opposite, and look at both SEGA and Nintendo today.
