      What were the options list? I’ve noticed some DLS owners have a higher shifter, others have no rubber boot, or they have a painted center tunnel. Additionally, what’s an unknown fact about the DLS program that hasn’t been talked publicly?

    • @PROJECT1_
      @PROJECT1_  Год назад

      The owner has been notified. ✅

    • @QUARTZdls
      @QUARTZdls Год назад +2

      @JMV.12 Thanks for the question! The options list for the DLS is rather long. The only functional options are front axle lift and FOCAL audio system; everything else is a cosmetic option.
      Of course, Singer is largely about making a client’s dream come true, so you’ll see some commissions with revised shifter configuration, metal bezels around signal lights, and I’ve even heard of a sunroof being cut into one DLS… but I’m not sure if the owner pulled the trigger on that idea in the end.
      I haven’t seen a higher shifter, but I’ll look around.
      The painted tunnel is just one of many cosmetic options. When it comes to cosmetics, the permutations and combinations are dizzying to calculate. Sky is truly the limit.
      An unknown fact about the DLS program? The first 5 cars in the build sequence were assembled by the same guys that worked on low-volume-high-excitement cars like the Aston Martin One-77, Valkyrie, Lagonda Taraf, and Vanquish Zagato; the Ford GT Mk II, Mustang GT3, Mustang GT4, and GT GTLM/GLE; and other crazy stuff, no doubt.
      Did you guess Multimatic? You’re right.
      Singer switched to assembling the cars themselves, in the UK, after realising they would be able to deliver cars sooner than if waiting for the busy Multimatic to have more bandwidth. So Singer went and duplicated their LA operations, but tailored for the DLS, in the UK with a paint & body shop as well.

      Hi! I'm so glad that car enthusiasts like you exist. You have incredible taste and you actually use your cars. Those two rarely co-exist. I also hope to see a very detailed video like this on your Gullwing. (Derrick, please make one! 😂)
      Since I am also a true believer of driving one's cars, my question is, how many kilometers have you done so far in the Singer? And how has it aged over those kilometers? Did any problems arise? Or does it still feel as tight as new? 😊

      @@albrown1812the guy is sharing and talking about something he loves. So what if he can afford a singer? The fact still stands: it’s an understated vehicle. A car that’s really impressive and him having nothing to do with that. But like so often his money is more important than mine. Because of this, his money buys the right to speak on a design that’s really above him. But….
      As I watched, and listened to his story it became clear he’s more than his mustache. No offense it looks really nice and clean.
      But he’s a guy who has substance. He’s worthy of that car. I’m happy he has it and actually glad he had something to do with its design.

    This vehicle to me reminds me of an opportunity to live a time in the past. To experience a second chance to live the dream. Funny things aren't appreciated until they aged. A well groomed man with grey hair and glasses driving a vintaged vehicle draws more attention. Then a new vehicle just released. People appreciate the fact that retro look suspends time and takes out of the equation of age out to reveal that it never gets old. I have a 1998 E-320 4 Matic and it looks like it fell out of the pages of that year. To keep anything for a long period of time shows the respect of ownership and you care. So one day I hope to add one of these cars to my collection. 7/21/24 Express yourself, follow no one. You are original.

    This is the sort of shit the automotive channel: Petrolicious used to put out about ~5yrs ago but they just fell of the map and are nowhere to be found in the automotive journalism landscape anymore.
    I like the fact that as an Indian immigrant in Canada, he was able to make something for himself, continue his dad’s legacy but not get embroiled in the rat race which most immigrants get into that they forget to enjoy the fruits of all the things their parents and they have worked really hard to build and just keep working until they drop flat, old and tired.
    When I saw the bit where he drove in front of the CN Tower in downtown Toronto I knew this must be a really cool lad and I hope to meet him and talk more on the DLS Quartz with him someday.

    Please forgive me, but Singers are hard enough to come by as is. I imagine that most folks who commission cars like these want to drive them as they aren't sending concours or ultra rare cars to singer to restomod (at least I hope not). What is the maintenance plan for one of these? Who is qualified to service a Singer? I've an 89 911 that I'm thinking about sending to singer. I would not feel comfortable giving it to some run of the mill mechanic to service or even me working on it after its done.

    • @QUARTZdls
      @QUARTZdls Год назад +1

      Singer has partners in all their key markets in the world. The partners are trained to service the Singer cars. Canada, USA, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Hong Kong, Netherlands … these are the countries I know they have partners. There are probably more countries also.

    amazing! everything about the car, the person & how well it was put together!
    he needs to take a drive towards Ottawa to Calabogie motorsports park, i know he said he prefers open road over tracks but this is 5 km of mountain like closed coarse and the whole surrounding area is a porsche drivers dream! i often see groups of 5-10+ porsches just flowing through the mountain roads like its the best day of their lives everyday. lol the sounds are heavenly.

    Nice car, although all Singer cars look almost the same. Keagan of Germany use a better 911 chassis as a core for their models. Dude, dream cars and wives should not be mixed up. You're right though about the right car on the right road. I, under no circumstances, would imagined a 911 on a road in...India or South America.
