- Though they're not full numbered Resident Evil entries, the Revelations games are still canonical, semi-mainline titles, and though far from crucial to the series' larger story, they do fill in the blanks in some important ways.
Resident Evil Revelations, for instance, takes place between the events of RE4 and 5, in the year 2005, and while it's by no means required reading for any of the other games in the series, it's still part of the RE canon. Here, we're going to recount the events of the game as part of our ongoing series in which we recap the franchise's story.

Resident Evil Revelations was a great gap filler game, The biggest revelation was to find out that both Jessica and Raymond were triple agents for Tri-cell, to me that was mind blowing 💥

Canonically this was before the bolder punching so we can be lead to believe this is the reason why Chris is now swoll and can punch bolders xD
He got swol after not being able to lift up Raymond so it’d never happen again lol He just went into boulder punching territory.

Play the Daughters DLC, there's more. There's one about Edonia, where parts of RE6 take place. You can also find a picture of the Arklay Mountains hanging on a wall in the living room, near the Ashcroft article.
The revelations games had no less impact on the greater life of the world than games like RE 4 did. Both of them were great and some of my favorite RE storylines.
Just played through this and rev2 for the first time. Also just replayed through re2 remake and r3make. So stoked for re village!

@@ThatAlchemistGuy same here. For me castle Dimestrescu and Donna Beneviento’s house were by far the best parts. I loved the game, but my main criticism was I hated the factory part because the setting was boring IMO and it just went on for way too long. I was disappointed in the length of that whole section. I would have liked the castle and doll house to last longer and had the factory be cut to half its length. I also felt they went a bit overkill with those hard to kill drill guys in the factory too. It really tested my patience at times.
@@giantbaby6996 Same here! I really didnt like the heisenberg boss fight either. I feel like 7 stayed more horror oriented throughout whereas 8 kinda lost it halfway through. Hopefully some dlc can bring us more of the best parts of the game

I wish that I had good memories for resident evil franchise growing up , the monster in the first game freaked the he’ll out me , now I just want to play through all of them 🍀
Resident Evil franchise are known for its cheesy writing (for better or worse) from investigating unknown and dangerous teritory without proper backup (RE1) to sending only one guy with a handgun to rescue president daughter (RE4). I think Revelations is the second RE with great writing (the first one being Code Veronica) which gives us deep story about conspiracy, betrayal, and the true danger of bio-terrorism. The mystery really hooked us up and doesn't feel like forcing itself to expand the lore further.
The Jack Norman boss was a headache, for real.

Try it on Inferno or the later stages Raid. He is probably one of the hardest Tyrant fights in the whole series.

I've played through this game a few times, and I gotta say... The story is so all over the place that it's nearly impossible to make real sense of it.
FBC were at risk of being defunded due to lack of bioterrorism activity, so they worked with Il Veltro to develop and release t-Abyss BOWs in the city of Terrogregia so the FBC could demonstrate that they’re needed. Then O’Brien, the head of the BSAA found that out and sent Jill and Chris to the the Queen Zenobia under false pretenses (of rescuing each other) to actually collect proof of FBC’s involvement in the Terrogregia attack.
Well I’m glad I’m not the only one. I felt dumb or something 😅
I can hardly wait for resident evil 8 its going to be really awesome

BSAA was just founded after RE3 incident. Revelations happens between RE4 and RE5
Now I really got a question, where is Parker?! We never see him after this game in the series :(
Lansdale failed but lived and sent to prison while Neil Fischer failed and was ended by Moira. Which proves the FBC was a failed project to begin with.

I still don't get what happened when the UAV flys to stop the satellite but yet the satellite still fires and there's a wave but it al kind of goes away its so weird lol
uav doesnt stop the satellite. it distracts the satellites targetting.

This is my least fav game in the series. The characters were beyond annoying,Jill had none of her usual personality, and I just found it overall to be boring. At least RE6 had likable characters (minus Jake)
I like this game more than resident evil4
Never played 4, but this and the sequel were some of my favorites of the series

I played this game on the 3ds and while I know that’s not the best device I loved this game.

The whole story is way too hard to understand, time jumps in the future, in the past. Even metal gear is easier to understand

Do you guys think Capcom use a new face model for Chris in RE8? Chris in RE8 look nothing like Chris in RE7 (Chris in RE7 was modeled after Geordie Dandy). He look like a completely different person now 😅
