    I just love how he starts it out right now and the echo bro my favorite RUclipsr workout intro

    So dope. Also glad the deadlift was appropriately left out. In my town, not enough young athletes realize that they need to increase their emphasis on cleans and snatches.

      Well....a big deadlift will drive a big power clean or power snatch. I think the power versions of those are better and more applicable to football and pretty much every sport but weight lifting.

    Love seeing these benchmarks for athletes, it'd be fascinating to see how a d1 strength coach agrees/differs

    Former d1 dline(within last decade), agree with these numbers for a prospect.

    This is fantastic. Can you do other positions? And also other sports? (Such as soccer, if the data is available)

    Hello, are there details on the medball throw somewhere, in terms of required technique, and is it measured like from the standing spot/feet line, or from the point the ball leaves the arms (which would give shorter result ofc), or is it just throw any way as far as possible? Thanks

    I'm a freshman in high school. my positions are TE, and DE. i can back squat 315 if i decided to ego lift(bad form) but with good form i can do 225, for bench press i only tried up to 165 so far with good form. i haven't tried anything else in the video i do split lunges with like 160-185 haven't done split lunges in a little while so i kind of forgot, my vert is minimum 32 i think cause i tried one of those vert boxes in walmart and i was able to clear that pretty easy. damn these o-line & d-line people really in the 280s? I'm 17 and also 175 pounds and 5,10. i just joined my team 3 months ago while it was off season and also just started working out 3 months ago constantly but lack motivation to really push my self during the workout times (not for the first time but i never lifted heavy before and only went to the gym like once a month or every other month with my mother so i just say i never trained before) Do i have hope if i actually put my mind to it not trying to waste my time even though its fun

    Why didn't you include deadlifts/ trap bar lifts in this video?

    • @oggsmash9989
      @oggsmash9989 2 месяца назад

      because not enough people are doing them to be quantified (and in this case I think the TB is a useless metric). I do think a big DL is a great driver for a power clean though and should be done by football players and especially for linemen.

    Lovely, really good I would love it if there was a video like that for my position and my sport!

    Earl told me to ask:
    Why aren't you doing it on the right side?
    Also great informative video, and would like more videos like this. One thing tho... Do use both pounds and kg for those benchmark goals, so us normal people dont have to convert pounds into kg.
    Same if you ever do a cooking video... do you gram, celcius, deciliter and so on as well.

      We chose pounds specifically for this video mainly cause it is an American sport. We did not count for other countries that may also play it. We normally include both for international sports, but should have done so as well here.

    How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?... Yeah... Coach woulda put me in fourth quarter, we would've been state champions.

      @omalone1169 oh I ran a 4.7, maybe I do a 6.5 now. I'm still fit enough to play rugby with guys half my age, but a lot of that zip is gone.
