I think Sam Elliot was born with gray hair, a mustache and that deep, drawling voice. He looks the same age in all his movies I've seen, from the 1980s to the 2010s.
Lol, that moment at 0:30 when Dalton sees those guys get out of the car and sighs in disappointment, he's like "man, it's been such a good day until now". Subtle, but funny. Swayze was a great actor.
The toughest guy in this scene is really Terry Funk. The driver of the pickup. Former hard core wrestler. Done it all. Barbed wire, strap matches, I quit matches, first blood, knockout matches, etc. He and Mick Foley had some epic matches.
Once watched a completely unrelated movie with my family, and then we started talking Road House, and then we all ended up staying and watching Road House and it was the best. 😂
A legit cult classic that ended up being a hit. Ridiculous over the top set ups and cheesy action, but good writing and fun characterizations. I think many movie critics couldn't handle it.
I went from looking like Dalton bouncing all thru the 90's to looking like Wade now at 53. Stepping back into the arena tomorrow, think I'll drop one of these one liners tomorrow!
2:04 probably one of my favorite cut mistakes in a movie. Flawless if you’re not paying attention to it, but a sore thumb if you do. The cut is when wade throws tinker behind him, after that we just see tinkers actor diving off the loading dock onto a crash mat below, and he made it look like he’s willingly diving off.
My favourite movie and scene in the whole movie!! Boy was Sam Elliot born to play Wade having that perfect look for the part. I still wonder to this day when Wade pushes Tinker behind him, it sounds like he falls onto a 1000 bottles 🤣🤣
Now to me this movie is total perfection....but then Sam Elliott shows up and makes it even better!!! Long live Wade and Dalton...two of my favorite characters EVER... RIP Patrick Swayze😇💜
Is it Keith David's mission to just be in so much awesome stuff? Fun fact, I got to talk with Anthony Delongis about this movie, and he wanted them to show the fight between him and Wade, but they didn't have the time.
I listened to a really good podcast of him recently with Marc Maron, very entertaining talk about his life and career. It was also hilarious when he basically said Yellowstone original show was trash soap opera and not a proper Western.
Everyone loves this mvoie. Film fans in general and MA film fans. As the fight scenes were choreographed by Benny "The Jet" Uriqudez (Ex-welterwegiht or lightwight undefeated world kickbocing champ). But still....it was as Hollywood film....so they had to "jazz it up" for entertainment reasons. At lleast there weren't "flashy kicks" (e.g. JCVD style). Minor nitpicks? They should never have had the beautiful Kelly Lynch "Dr." standing outside the DD alone waiting for Dalton. Even if in the film they ended up standing facing each other talking. Dangrerous for a woman that beautiful to be alone in front of a bar that 's supposed to be that "dangerous" (e.g. knife fights, guy with a blade at the tip of one boot...etc. :) And....once the "bad guys know she likes Dalton...her life would be in jealpardy no? :) They'd take her hostage...etc... smal l things... Fun movie ...
0:03 Sam Elliot looks so cool on the motorcycle with the backpack and gear. Always loved that look!
I think Sam Elliot was born with gray hair, a mustache and that deep, drawling voice. He looks the same age in all his movies I've seen, from the 1980s to the 2010s.
he is indeed eternal !!!
🤣
So was Patrick Swayze 's girlfriend's baby in this movie.
He looked different in his appearance on Gunsmoke and on the Mission Impossible series. He didn't have the mustache and had brown hair.
Watch Frogs, he looked like Swayze
Lol, that moment at 0:30 when Dalton sees those guys get out of the car and sighs in disappointment, he's like "man, it's been such a good day until now". Subtle, but funny. Swayze was a great actor.
Exactly my same thought 😆
Sam Elliot was so good in this role.
In just about any of his roles.
How's about every role
How about a Roll 🍞
Sam Elliot could be in "Three Blind Mice" and it'd be badass!😄
I don't know how many times I saw this movie since 1989. 😂😂😂
Sam Elliott and Patrick were just amazing together in this movie. One of my favorite 80s films.
Did you come out of the closet yet?
Love this movie..no more dirty dancing..just pure rough house..Patrick at his best..
Gotta love that blind Jeff Healy is the one who introduces the two hero's in the movie to all those with eyes that work!
Sam Elliott's voice can be a stronger identifier than his appearance.
Jeff heally was funny
Jeff Healy played a good part. Liked his music. In the movie, he had worked at a another bar with Dalton and Wade Garrett.
One of the greatest movies of all time. Whenever it’s a sunny day, I think of this scene. A free movie, the best days.
You haven't seen many movies, have you? This is garbage.
Jeff Healey!! Miss that dude. (Swayze, too.)
my dad went to school with him! Park Lawn, Etobicoke!
there's a park named after him in Toronto close to the park lawn school!
Exactly right. 🙂 You think Swayze's character's cool until Elliot walks in.
R.I.P. Patrick Swayze!
I could happily have watched a film based on Wade Garrett.
Wade Garrett…
The best name ever written into a movie.
He was a real person also
Sam must have had so much fun in this movie.
The toughest guy in this scene is really Terry Funk. The driver of the pickup. Former hard core wrestler. Done it all. Barbed wire, strap matches, I quit matches, first blood, knockout matches, etc. He and Mick Foley had some epic matches.
He was also in Paradise Alley (1978)
No
Wrong
Yeah you realize its fake? Why is he tough because he knows how to cut himself and bleed?
Wrestling is fake
Greatest line ever by the Late Terry funk....."mind your own business dad". Rest in peace legend❤🙏
Sam Elliot is a great actor. This movie is one of my favorites that he's in.
2:18 Serious candidate for the single greatest punch in cinematic history 👊
2:11 the way that dude eats that punch 😂
I never get tired of this movie
You and me both
Sam Elliots' best scene ever. Sam & Pat are perfect.
I love how the bouncers are bar famous!
Yep
Phoney kind of
That's one of the favorite fight scenes in these movie. Sam Elliot has that dirty biker look. And don't MESS with me style.❤❤❤❤❤❤
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER! Thanks. John P.
R.I.P. Patrick Swayze, Terry Funk and Jeff Healey
And the others. this movie is 34 years old. easier to count who is still alive.
Yep it been a minute since this come out
Let's not Forget Mr. Ben Gazzara, the one who played 'Brad Wesley.'
Man I never realized Terry Funk was in this movie.
Badass
we literally bumped into him at a restaurant in Skaneateles, NY. I apologized, and he seemed very nice.
Now when I see this movie, I wait for Peter Griffin to show up and say: Road House!
Ghost
😂😂 yes 👍
Seth Mcfarlane was playing with fire.
You shouldn't
I went from looking like Dalton bouncing all thru the 90's to looking like Wade now at 53. Stepping back into the arena tomorrow, think I'll drop one of these one liners tomorrow!
How did you make out ?
why waste time with a remake, when you can enjoy the original
Sam elliot - masculinity- looks💯
1:41 Mind Your Own Business DAD! LOL 😂!
2:04 probably one of my favorite cut mistakes in a movie. Flawless if you’re not paying attention to it, but a sore thumb if you do. Classic scene from a classic movie
at 1:22 the black dude in the back is now the navy voice on the commercials SHEEESH
The mistake was allowing these clowns to be revived and walk away. Broken knee caps would have been a better option.
This was the funniest scene in the whole movie haha love it
My favourite movie and scene in the whole movie!! Boy was Sam Elliot born to play Wade having that perfect look for the part.
I still wonder to this day when Wade pushes Tinker behind him, it sounds like he falls onto a 1000 bottles 🤣🤣
Love this film, remember seeing it when it was first released, hope it gets a 4K UHD release.
Can't mention Road House without mentioning Ben Gazarra, a truly great character actor.
The whole cast was great.
@@ralphholiman7401 Patrick Swayze Sam Elliott Keith David
It’s a classic. Cheesy as all get out…but a classic.
RIP Terry Funk 😔😔😔🙏🙏🙏
"Knuckle sandwich It's whats for dinner" I''m Sam Elliot and I approve of this video.
Dalton's rock hard abs saved his insides from being damaged. I'm surprised they didn't break the knuckles of the goons hitting him.
MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS DAD!!
Oh...
Who needs 007 when you have Sam and Patrick!!!!
Absolutely love this film great story and actors also fantastic soundtrack with Jeff healey 👏👍
RIP
Sam Elliott is one of the best 👌
0:35 These guys look like the mooks you fight in old school side schooling fighting games like Double Dragon, Final Fight, and Streets of Rage.
Sam Elliot is the coolest dude in many movies including Mask
Not to mention Tombstone, one of my fav movies of all time.
He was great in Mask!
The Big Lebowski
“Mind your own business, dad!”
Now to me this movie is total perfection....but then Sam Elliott shows up and makes it even better!!! Long live Wade and Dalton...two of my favorite characters EVER... RIP Patrick Swayze😇💜
What's something is Terry funk says to Sam Elliott "mind your own business dad" in really he was the same age as Sam Elliott!
The exact same age lol
Love Sam Eliott and Patrick Swayze anything and any time.
Benny the jet did a superb job with all these stunts.
Best movie ever made. Ever
I read this in Neil Breen's voice. Made it truer.
Is it Keith David's mission to just be in so much awesome stuff? Fun fact, I got to talk with Anthony Delongis about this movie, and he wanted them to show the fight between him and Wade, but they didn't have the time.
Yes that sucks. DeLongis is god teir stunt man and swordsman, anytime he has a fight in a film its gold
Dalton has his best fighting slacks on
“Exactly right”
Fecking love when he says that line!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
TERRY FUNK::
Mind Your Own Business Dad.!.!.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That part always cracks me up
Sam was so handsome in that role. I didn't hardly notice Patrick and I loved Patrick lol
Sam Elliott is one of the greatest
2:14 Takin out the trash! 👊🏻 🚮
So the employee he told to take a break didn't think he ought to run inside and get help? Roadhouse!
5 minutes later, “Hey, there’s a fight out back!” ;)
I like Roadhouse I think Dalton played by Patrick swayze's great good guy.
The remake just made me wanna watch clips of the original 😂😂😂😂
That's why I'm here. I refuse to watch the re make.
Same
A Classic Scene to Give a Smile
Probably the coolest moment I've ever seen in a move.
Yellow Stone sequel
sad to see him getting old
but we are all heading that way..
He's made so many good movies
would like to see lots more
I listened to a really good podcast of him recently with Marc Maron, very entertaining talk about his life and career. It was also hilarious when he basically said Yellowstone original show was trash soap opera and not a proper Western.
This is one of my favorite Parts in the movie**
Love this movie
One word....YUMMY
As much as I once liked this movie. All I think of now is Ron White when I watch clips of it. Haha
I love this film.
The soundtrack was great too. It introduced me to the Jeff Healy Band.
The good old days and I remember living on like the real ones

Fun movie ...
one of my favorite movies. have it on DVD (MGM release) 👍 📽
Elliott and Swayze hubba Hubba , more please
One of Julian’s favourite movies 😁
That Jimmy really took a break, he didn't ever bother calling for backup
What a team!!! Love ❤ it!!!
Blessings Patrick ... keep on keeping on SE !!!
That was So Awesome.
He was fcuking classic...
Funk taking a textbook flat back bump! RIP Funker
Taylor Sheridan in a yellowstone episode said this was the greatest movie ever made- he's right
Fight choreography has come a long way since 1989...
Sam is a regular guy no big ego Thank Goodness!😉😃🙏
“I want you to be nice until it’s time to not be nice”
Great classic 🎬🎥👍
I felt like crying when they beat up Wade Garrett and he died.
They don’t make movies like this anymore.
Gentlemen. Wade Garrett
Oh, yesssss! Sam, I know you are a married man, but you're my favorite!
Terry Funk with the full back bump at the end there.
Ha ha! ROADHOUSE CALLBACK!
Been in love with him since Mask
So good. What happened to movies???
Liberalism
