You are so lucky jonny , i must say that its hidden and very srong method of combating during kings times .so lucky evev to see this .rarely one gets a chance guys ...
Non of the european nations were able to completely colonize Sri lanka though they invaded all other coutries in south and South east Asia till 1815 Sri lankans gave the throne to British without War because they all wanted to get rid of the Late King Sri wikrama Rajasinghe because he was so cruel. WHAT I WANTED SAY IS THAT FOR ALL THESE YEARS ANGAMPORA PLAYED MAJOR ROLE IN KEEPING US UNDEFEATED
Some of people think the Kalaripayattu and Angampora are same. but it isn’t, I know the Kalaripayattu and Anagampora are looking similar to eye. But they are different; different techniques, different culture and different history. You could say Karate and judo are the same when you look at it that way.
Machan as far as i know angampora came from Kalari background! But our ancient people were so talented enough to make a different martial art system for Sri Lanka own. Its the angampora! Many guys argue we are doing Kalari. Some of the swords use in angampora such as strait blade sword, foldable strap blade sword is in kalari too. But its not, Adopted some techniques from kalari and ancestors were damn talented to make unique system.
If you think you foreigners could kick someone in their butts who knows Angampora. I don't think it is real Angampora or the person is a real Angampora guy. 😂
I watch your videos often and appreciate it very much. I would like to note this as a fact and not as a critique. Ancient martial arts is not a show that people show you. It is a form of warfare used only to defend Buddhism and my country. Also, this ancient martial art was never passed on to other nations. (Just a fact). I like to tell a little story. During the last dynasty there was a warrior called Levuke. He was like a devil to the invaders who came to my country (during the Portuguese or Dutch invasion) but the people who were personally jealous of him plotted to kill him. According to legend, he did not retaliate when attacked. He did not strike with a single finger. This is because he and all the warriors swear not to use martial arts for the sake of the country or for anything other than to preserve Buddhism. I would like to point out that such sacred art is not sold in the weekly market. The real Angam Guru is still secretly living with the methods of fighting. The Portuguese and the English were so frightened that they forbade anyone to keep a sword in a Sinhala house. I really like and appreciate your channel. Thank you
If you want to know what Angarapora studied person can do. Just watch the teledrama called "Dandubasna maanaya" අංගම්පොර ඉගෙන ගත් පුද්ගලයෙකු ට කොපමන දෙයක් කල හැකිද යන්න දැන ගැනීමට අවශ්ය නම් "දඩු බස්නාමානය " ටෙලිනාට්ය සොයාගන බලන්න

Excellent sri Lankan culture🥇
You are so lucky jonny , i must say that its hidden and very srong method of combating during kings times .so lucky evev to see this .rarely one gets a chance guys ...
so when did you last see one?
Non of the european nations were able to completely colonize Sri lanka though they invaded all other coutries in south and South east Asia till 1815 Sri lankans gave the throne to British without War because they all wanted to get rid of the Late King Sri wikrama Rajasinghe because he was so cruel. WHAT I WANTED SAY IS THAT FOR ALL THESE YEARS ANGAMPORA PLAYED MAJOR ROLE IN KEEPING US UNDEFEATED
our gun craftmanship played a bigger role than angampora
2k wants Need to 100k this video.. i love it.. good lucks guys😍💑
Some of people think the Kalaripayattu and Angampora are same. but it isn’t, I know the Kalaripayattu and Anagampora are looking similar to eye. But they are different; different techniques, different culture and different history. You could say Karate and judo are the same when you look at it that way.
Ayyo machan wadak na katha karala..Indian un piligannema na..un kiyannema aka ungen apu akak kiyala..

Nice. A true martial art. Guys actually hitting each other and do the covering shots are realistic and covering make sense.
Angampora love ❤️
As a Sri Lankan very proud to see...
This is our great history. I suggest this add to as one of our school subject and every student must learn this. Thanks
No thanks!
Hi.. I'm sri lankan boy you like anganpora.. That's amazing trick and amazing fighting system..
Great defence Kristina!!!...You could kick those guys butts!!...lol...You looked to be enjoying yourself!!...Viv

Thank you
This martial art is nothing but indian kalaripayattu, silambam and varma kalai rebranded. Buddhism is also another indian arrival to the island.
It's really worth watching this video on Angampora!💖
If you want to know what Angarapora studied person can do.
Just watch the teledrama called "Dandubasna maanaya"
