Angampora is not only a a way of fighting,it's just a part of it. It has so many aspects. Meditation, kundalini awakening, spiritual awakening, healing any desease ( any means any, unless you have really bad karma ). One of the main reasons why British found hard to invade Sri Lanka was we used to fight using Angampora.

The real art of Angampora lost its existence a long time back, the British made damn sure that it would never review again.
It is a very tragic story, many people protected the art with their life. It was only passed down among a few family bloodlines and in an ironic secrecy. Slowly many aspects of the art began to fall out (since some successors were incapable and non-deserving to practice the art) and eventually, what you find today named as Angampora is a very small part of the actual art and heavily subjected to reformations.

I dont know "angampora", but reason they do bolck attacker from out side because attacker may have knife or gun. (see this video they do block from attacker's right side, then the attacker cant see you and attacker cant use the knife or the gun) if you try to block an attacker wrong way(as Christina did leg kick), then attacker can kill Christina since she is opened to the attacker.

I watch your videos often and appreciate it very much. I would like to note this as a fact and not as a critique. Ancient martial arts is not a show that people show you. It is a form of warfare used only to defend Buddhism and my country. Also, this ancient martial art was never passed on to other nations. (Just a fact). I like to tell a little story. During the last dynasty there was a warrior called Levuke. He was like a devil to the invaders who came to my country (during the Portuguese or Dutch invasion) but the people who were personally jealous of him plotted to kill him. According to legend, he did not retaliate when attacked. He did not strike with a single finger. This is because he and all the warriors swear not to use martial arts for the sake of the country or for anything other than to preserve Buddhism. I would like to point out that such sacred art is not sold in the weekly market. The real Angam Guru is still secretly living with the methods of fighting. The Portuguese and the English were so frightened that they forbade anyone to keep a sword in a Sinhala house. I really like and appreciate your channel. Thank you

Angampora is a traditional martial art in Srilanka..It's old more than 30000years ago..But King Rawana develop this martial art..This martial art is old than all martial arts in the world..and Angampora can see only in Srilanka..actually now we can only see 3% remains from this martial art..Because British people realize this will be v dangerous against for them..So they kill all the Angampora teachers and all the people who know Angampora..Not only that then they bring all the books that written about Angampora to England..then they banned from Srilanka to train or teach in Srilanka..Before this martial art did not teach to everyone..they teach also secretly..they didn't teach to people who can be notorious..Because if some one know this martial art he can kill or injured anyone v easily..person who genious in this he can kill some one even without touch physically..that much it's v dangerous martial art..Angampora martial artist is doctor, farmer and he know woodoo too..Before this martial art giving to only family members..not for normal citizens..Angampora is greatest martial art was in Srilanka..even now in British royal family have lot of old valueble documents and books that they steal from us who belong to Srilanka😢😥
