For question 12. Open the bonnet and tell me how you'd check that the engine has sufficient oil.

Why would the brakes feel spongy or slack? Is it spongy if there's trapped air in the system and slack if brakes are worn?

No as the pressure question is a tell me question not a show me question. Thus you do not have to check them.
