you seem to be a pro with these probooks, I recently got a 4535s OEM Atheros wifi and bluetooth wireless network card for my 6555b. when I turn it on it says "Unsupported wireless network card detected. System halted. Remove device and restart." Since my 6555b probook didn't have it stock and it does not have a bluetooth emblem/light on the instrument panel, would i have to get one that does have it to make it work? Would you know by chance?
Inverter is on the bottom right, just to the left of the right hand hinge as I recall. Not worked with these laptops for a few years now. All the best with your repair.

Is the 6550b worth a new screen in 2023? I believe that it can, with some added RAM, be upgraded to Win 10, & the CPU brought up to a Quad core

Do you know of any differences between the 6555b and 6550b? As in, screws being in different places or otherwise?
Not worked on any 6550b models sorry.
