Looks like a little rough handling there to me. Wouldn't a guitar pick, or spudger be better option than twisting and posible tweaking the screen bezel like that? :/

It will be better not to switch to a Full HD because it may not worked out well.
Depends on what exactly is a model of your laptop and screen you are getting.
I would not recommend.

Not exactly, if you have 1366x768 stock resolution you need an new HD-Display cable, if you have 1600x900 stock you can change to the 1920x1080 resolution by only changing the display -> Plug and play.
