Cobalt is undefeated as a daily driver. For no fx, I go with Scotia Passport and a BMO WE Cashback or Amex SC for cashback. The Desjardins cards are pretty competitive but are not free and they do appear to charge an fx fee. At least the higher cashback can offset the fx fee.

I'm betting that the card will be discontinued in Canada. But out of principle, HSBC and RBC are financial institutions that I boycott because of their incompetence - HSBC for mismanaging HK's community treasure chest and RBC for constantly messing up simple tasks like a wire transfer.

This is a great video for everyone. We have a lot of spending in travel, food and other areas. I currently hold the scotia visa infinite passport for the fx stuff and the lounge passes (have a scotia account that waives annual fee), amex platinum, amex biz reserve aeroplan (which I may cancel after 1 yr) and the aeroplan amex, and the rbc avion infinite. Not sure this is the best combo so I may do some trimming. Trying to also get the other avion but despite my 820+ credit score, it seems harder than other cards to get (which I always get auto-approval for td, cibc, amex, etc)
