Garrote, HFB,SND. (i use cold blood here) to get 5x combo points. the envenom. another thing is popping vanish immediately after 20 seconds(so you get another 20 seconds of overkill buff) also like someone else said in the comments. 3-4-5 Envenom(you'll have the potential of losing combo points if you do more mutilates after 3 combo points.) Since crit with main and offhand mutilate gives 4 combo points.
What i would consider for combat, once you hit your ArPen cap, is to use Eviscerate Glyph and prio evis a bit higher as the damage should be higher than rupture at that point
Not necessarily, Eviscerate priority is only good when you’re BiS and even that’s rng. You need a lot of crit to endure your Eviscerates are going to crit, otherwise rupture is always better.
Why would you wait all up until 4-5 combo points to SnD? Thats a very long downtime on your SnD… Can’t recall wotlk exactly but I can never recall not starting SnD after your first or second combo point…

Assa opener is wrong for the PvE guide. Open with garrote (if there is no bleeders), SnD, HFB, mutilate, envenom. This way you envenom way earlier helping to get you to 5/5 deadly stacks faster and it's also an earlier SnD which is huge for melee and poison procs. If there is a bleeder in the party/raid, open with mutilate instead as it's better damage. When using envenom, use envenom at 3-4-5 combo points. This is because mutilate crits give 3 combo points so if you mutilate at 3 combo points you waste a combo point. If ruthlessness doesn't proc, use cold blood to guarantee 3 combo points for an earlier envenom on your next GCD, Otherwise you are forced to mutilate twice to get 4/5 combo points. This is much higher dps as it optimises envenom uptime. Also, always wait until envenom has 0.1 seconds left before you envenom. The biggest DPS loss from assa rogues is SnD and low envenom uptime.
I know this comment is 3 months old, but I was wondering if you could explain why it's better to use Envenom than Mutilate at 3 combo points? I understand that you could waste a combo point if Mutilate Crits, and that you get the Envenom buff up faster, but does that really offset the damage you get from a 5 combo point Envenom and another 2 seconds on your Envenom buff? It just feels bad using a 3 point finishing move lol
@@Carrotsuno It does, but in the opener for 100% sure its a dps gain. The faster you can get everything set up and rolling the faster you can get to your max dps rotation. This is when you are going to be at peak. Your ability to move and adjust is at it's highest when youre in that phase. Also it's a net dps gain because its all up and running faster. The ramp is faster and the chance to get punched in the face by a boss is less due to 3pt finisher doing less dmg than a full 5 EVEN though your over all dps is going to be a little higher from the 3 pt fin. Try it on a few bosses youll see the gains. This spec like he is saying is won or lost by SnD uptime and Env. buff uptime. It's the difference between a 89 parse and a 99
I didn't understand what's the purpose of the fan macro, does it apply the damage no the main hand weapon only and thats why u equip the slow one there to spam?
Combat Daggers is just weaker than Combat Swords/Axes. The extra Attacks just zoom ahead in dps. Assassination is what you want to play with daggers. On static fights without much movement (DBS is a decent example) and few target swapping, Assassination definitely pulls ahead in damage imo. Its when theres even short windows of moving/target swapping where assassination loses out as Deadly Poison and important buffs/debuffs fall off that you have to rebuild first.
