  • On this week’s episode of Fratello Talks, Lex, Morgan, and Nacho take a look at the Tudor Pelagos FXD. The guys have all four references so far lined up for a closer look. However, it’s not just the FXD that takes all the attention. We start with a look back at the birth of the original Pelagos and how the line expanded to include this fixed-bar dive watch. Since its introduction in late 2021, the FXD has become a fan favorite. However, the recent additions to the lineup have certainly stirred people’s feelings...

Great talk, but could be better if you show the watches as you refer to them in your chats.

The Blue MN FXD is the version I like best

nice content. i would love to see more close ups of the watches so that viewers can also see exactly what you are talking about. Like the part in the chrono section that can't be seen etc. 🤙

Will Tudor make fixed lug with the 39? my wrist is 16cm and I think 42 is too big.

Hi guys. i understand the discussion around 11:00. When i first saw the watch, i thought it misses the hole point of the chronograph, that the text replaces the indexes. But after experiencing it on the wrist, the doubt was quickly gone, because first is such a small text and second: since the seconds hand sits so close by the crystal, it works very well with the minute marks on the bezel insert. 👌👌

It's great to hear your views guys. For me the Pelagos line is a modern tool watch. I'm a fan of the OG but ended up with the LHD. All of your comments are valid but the LHD had the model name in red on the dial and that appeared to reduce the number of lines visually of text on the dial, I also like that roulette date. I also love the 39 but have to agree the marketing maybe was a tad off for us collectors. We will have to see with the FXD.

A chronograph in titanium without alinghi and blue ... will be nice

    I really like these FXD’s
The chrono is cool BECAUSE of the colours.
But thinking out loud, what I would like from Tudor in 2024..?? Ooohh… a Rootbeer Pelagos GMT in rosegold two-tone 💕❤️

Red Bull is in your face! IMHO. Tried non-chrono one on the other day. Very weird to wear the name of an energy drink on the wrist. Red Bull quite obvious to me.

I have the LHD and love it. The MN is awesome but so hard to get form an AD. I’m going to get the USN Black next week. There is a background story on the black that was unfortunately taken down form Watches of Espionnage, the black version is sold to Navy Seals in RHD/LHD versions so it seems that they are using it! So also legit mil spec just like the MN. The chrono is cool and would love it even more workout the red bull branding but hey America’s cup is pretty prestigious and going against the Rolex titanium Yachtmaster. Good conversion guys!

Late to this conversation, but do you think the standard Pelagos will get a refresh for 2024. I would particularly like to see a pop of color on the text. Maybe a "double red"

The FXD line is proof that Tudor does not live in the shadow of Rolex -- rather, it's still making tough tool watches build to spec.

Funny the MN FXD is now the cheaper version and the new “USN” version is selling for a premium (above retail).

I would love a 39mm FXD. I have a 41mm Black Bay Heritage and it's the most perfect watch in the world to me, FXD is coming when I get a better job XD

The FXD is a brand dilution. The only Pelagos with any real class is the M25600TB-0001 - or black if you prefer.

Fully agree that the LHD Pelagos' faux-patina was a huge miss. That watch could've been perfect if they didn't do that.

Note for future videos - uniquely you all sit and chat good comments with Zero images of the watches themselves. We know what you guys look like, punch in the watches in post production as the conversation flows. Tudor will watch this and think - these guys are very poor salesmen for our brand!

Tudor isn’t an homage brand. It has an homage line which is its most popular. The watch buyers are directly responsible for the tge rise and proliferation of the black bay line. To those who criticize Tudor for this need to turn the finger in the opposite direction.
Tudor has been working hard to develop the Pelagos line and has made many others that did not resonate with buyers(RIP North Flag).
Ask yourself this, have I purchased a black bay? If so STFU.
