I’m so glad you guys got around to this one! It is such a strikingly assured debut and I loved it when I saw it on opening weekend.
Glad you loved it too! Thanks for watching.
I love seeing Dave! I love The Linoleum Knife!!!!!
He's awesome.
❤ Dave White
So do we!
While Alonso is working on his book, please just have Dave and Tim Grierson alternate subbing. Love those guys (and Christy too 😂).
Yes for sure! Tim will be here next week.
Is that Matt? Why isn't he wearing his flower shirts anymore?
That's Alonso's husband, Dave.
more dave is never a bad thing!!! also i loved this movie!!!
Thanks for all of that!
Dave was honestly really instrumental in me really loving movies especially when I started listening to Linoleum Knife in high school. Huge fan!
That's great! Thanks for the kind words.
if j jonah jamison was a movie critic, welcome back dave
Always good to have him here.
I live for Dave & Alonzo making Sunday dinner while filming LN. Love Dave!! ❤
So sweet.
Review “Personality Crisis: One Night Only” and “I Like Movies” please.
❤ Dave! I live for Dave’s long pauses! ❤️ linoleum 🔪!
Good to have him here!
Thanks for giving this film some much needed attention.
Thanks for watching!
Love this movie. I would compare it to To Leslie. If Andrea Riseborough got a nomination, Teyana Taylor should be remembered for excellent performance.
I love that all the main characters are flawed, but they are not evil. This gives realism and more complex story.
I think this is only getting limited release. Hope it gets a good home in streaming.
So glad you saw this!
Teyana Taylor is a force, as are all three Terrys, and Lucky . This film wrecked me. So real.
Dave should do more guest appearances
Always a pleasure hearing his insights!
So good to see Dave
Always!
Save to say Iman Shumpert and Alonso both scored with their spouses.
Teyana Taylor is beautiful and versatile. I've never seen her act dramatically, but I'm not surprised she's great.
I love Dave White, similar to BAD, LK is a must listen, especially when Dave has to pause and check on what sounds like delicious chicken thighs 😂 👍.
Thanks for following us in all the places!
Candyface!!! Love you Dave!
The "velvet lawn mower." Bahahaha.
It's so apt.
Dave!! I haven’t seen him since the What the Flick days when he would guest. Love him!
He'll be back!
DAVE!!!! ❤ Best crossover!!
Always a pleasure to see him.
Look at that beautiful creature!... Christy looks good too.
He really is!
Thanks for reviewing this amazing film. I am so looking forward to seeing it.📽
Thanks for watching! Let us know what you think.
Really solid work all around with this one--Sundance Syndrome narrowly avoided! Only thing irking me is that I still haven't grasped the significance of the title. Maybe it's the apartment number (10-01, but "the dash is missing")...?
That seems to be at least part of it -- that this is the place where they're striving to build a life together. Glad you saw it too!
Great video guys. I love an intriguing review of a film I haven't heard of, and now feel the need to see.
There's one spot that has it near me, so I'm certainly going to check it out!
Great, let us know!
Love Dave and how much he loves Teyana Taylor. She also makes great music which everyone should listen to!
Very cool.
I got so excited when Dave popped on screen. Nice to see him.
It was nice to have him!
Good movie. I really liked the filmmaking. There was definitely a cinematic mood set by the director, which is rare in debuts. Tatyana Taylor was fascinating. My only quibble is something that Dave actually praised. And that's the lack of exposition in key scenes, especially early on. I felt lost sometimes. I'm more in the Hitchcock school of thought. He once said, "An audience confused is not an audience in suspense." Having said that, I enjoyed Dave's take and hope to see him more, along with Katie and the rest of the supporting cast.
Thanks for the encouragement and for sharing your thoughts!
