In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 115 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great RUclipsrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera
- Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
- I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360 degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

This is an amazing story how this car went from person to person and still came back "home". Wonderful video.
Thanks
very cool video. Glad the car made it back home full circle
Captain, it’s quite the “Lassie come home” outcome but so just meant to be. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for taking the time to watching my videos, leaving a comment and for subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it.
My intention when creating these videos is to showcase not only the beautiful car but give the owner an opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.
My God, what a lovely video and story. Thank you for making this wonderful video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing story and beautiful vehicle!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the stories you share in your videos. You really show the human spirit in them and I was reaching for a Kleenex while the video played. Great car and the blue striping is incredible too.
I’m glad sharing the story is reaching people. My stepdad would be so thrilled.
Wow, thank you!
One of my favorite cars and a great story too.😢
Mine too!
What a neat story and a great car.
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic video
Thanks again
Thanks for a great video.
The proper color for the 1979 Black Corvette is called 'Tuxedo Black".
In the early 80's I owned the same Corvette, same color, L-82 with auto trans and oyster and black checkerboard interior.
Overall I did not like the car very much and it was not very fast.
It only got 8 miles to the gallon.
Daniel, thanks for that insight. Perhaps not the fastest but the iconic curves certainly gets one’s attention. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.
Great story and nice vette👍
Peter, I agree a too.. it’s amazing sometimes when things are just meant to be together.. it eventually happens. She just took the “scenic route “ home. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for taking the time to watching my videos, leaving a comment and for subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it.
