1966 Corvette: Daughter surprises dad with dream car for Father's Day!

- My dad has always wanted a Corvette. This Father's Day, with his 80th birthday just 8 months away, I decided not to wait! Tomorrow is never promised, so I decided to make my dream come true and surprise my dad with a 1966 Corvette (the year I was born, for added significance).
The day was magical, and I am blessed to have been able to do this for such a great man!

1966 is a great year as it is my birth year too! Btw, that wooden steering wheel is one of my fathers patents with GM as a chemical engineer. It's actually a urethane composite made to look like wood but much safer because it won't splinter like wood in an accident.

Life is much too short and you never know when your last day is on this earth or even if you’ll get to carry out your plans to “show them” and “stick it to them”!

@@roadguide123 i do and thank you. Its just crazy how its been almost ten years and yet it still hurts so much. I mean it doesnt consume my thoughts 24/7 but at least once a week i find myself thinking of him and i cry. Especially when i realize he never got to meet my wife.

Lisa, I don't know if you'll get this message 5 years after you posted the video, but that had to be the most thoughtful (and expensive!) gifts for a dad I've seen, which appears to be more of a "lifetime achievement" award than a simple father's day gift. When he started it up, the first thing I thought was "that's not a stock exhaust"!
