    dude, pair those mutes with gen symbals or low volume cymbals and that would be one hell of a setup

      I combined them with Agean R and I love them... besides the Rtom for the kick... my DW5000 doesn’t seem to like it.

    They are fun to play on. I had the rubberized pads on the heads, i couldn't believe the difference. The pads actually made me work harder, but now i feel like i have more control. Love the rtom heads..

    The RTOM Black Hole Practice System 🥁 is an excellent concept 🤘🏻 and I don't know why anyone has thought of this before. BUT the Bass Drum Mesh Head needs to be redesigned. Having it go inside the Bass Drum Hoop would cause it to function better and be more secure and the bonus would be that you wouldn't have to take your Bass Drum Pedal off the hoop, which is totally stupid 🙅🏻‍♂️. Also there is no 26" Bass Drum size 👎🏻. I would also like to see for the Snare and Floor Tom have larger Sound Patch proportional to the drums larger diameter sizes. From a Creative Director and Drummer :) ✌🏻

    Great demo and great playing ! The only thing I found a little tough to hear was that the kick was so low in volume in relationship to everything else. How is it in the room ?? Is there any kind of resonance like there is on the toms ?? Thanks !!

  • @icanhasfreecat

    • @Snarea51

      Ahhh that's a great idea! The dampening is significant enough that with just overheads it would probably sound mostly like clicks and taps. Maybe it's time for an update vid!

    They sound super loud still! I have a pair of Vic FIrth mutes and as you probably know their not realistic to play on at all. But, they are quit enough to not be an issue. I just wonder how they compare to the Black holes volume wise, if you know? Great video though man, dig your beats. Appreciate you!

    • @yeetfeet1878
      @yeetfeet1878 3 года назад

      My parents bought me evans sound off mutes. And I agree. They are not realistic to play on at ALLLLLLL! They have no rebound, they fall off, cut out way too much sound, and don’t sound like real drums. Now the bass mute is beaten up so bad and I haven’t been able to play in like a week. I’ve been begging them if I can just use the Remo Rings. But there is no changing their minds. And the crazy thing is I only have to use drum mutes not even cymbal mutes. I don’t get the point. Our neighbors have never complained. They are just horrible. If I could I would give less them 0 stars.

  • @RettaTheRipper
    @RettaTheRipper 4 года назад

    If you used these with the EAD10, would you have to use a low-volume setting with it? Or would they be loud enough to be picked up by the mic? Maybe just by increasing the sensitivity on the mic so it picks up more?

  • @aneat89
    @aneat89 7 лет назад +1

    Hey man, do you think working on double bass while using these pads on the kick drum would hinder technique when sitting at an unmuted kit?

    • @Snarea51
      @Snarea51  6 лет назад +1

      I don't think it would hinder it, although they definitely have more give than your bass drum would. Pro-Tip if you stuff your kick with laundry (like 80% or more) and put a mesh head with beater patches, it feels REALLY close to a normal kick, minus most of the sound.

    Is it too bouncy like Remo Silent Stroke head on Bassdrum? Is it feel natural? Both mesh, I worry about it.

    • @Snarea51
      @Snarea51  6 лет назад +1

      It definitely bounces like other mesh heads, BUT if you put some padding behind, like a little blanket or really thin pillow you can dial in your feel!

    • @steeltruedrum
      @steeltruedrum 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks! So, This or other BassDrum muffler? What to choose?

    • @Snarea51
      @Snarea51  6 лет назад

      That's a tough choice! I think another great option would be getting a mesh head on your kick and filling it with muffling, plus some beater patches. It takes a lot more time to install than the Black Holes do, BUT if you've got a bass drum you can have just for practicing, it's probably the best feeling way to do it! If you don't though, this is a super close second and can be attached in seconds! :D
