    The Japanese Knot Bag is a small and elegant open tote bag, with a twist! It features asymmetrical handles and a boxed bottom which allows the bag to stand by itself.
    The longer handle slips through the other to form a knot and closes the bag. No need for zippers, buttons, or drawstrings since the handles serve as the method of closure. Neat, right? The bag can easily be used in reverse just as well. One bag, two prints, versatile accessory for your wardrobe.
    The bag is a quick sew, great for gifts!

    I like the idea of the boxed base, and a different way of doing the handles (third different way so far).

    Всегда умиляет, когда кладут готовую выкройку и выкраивают - размеры сами придумайте, а потом подробно показывают как строчит машинка. А ведь от размера / пропорции зависит конечный результат

    I love this video! It’s so helpful, but I’m struggling with the bottom corner of each side (somewhere around the 5 minute mark). I must be doing something wrong because when I turn the bag right-sides out the fabric is bunched up. Any additional tips? Thank you!

      It’s hard to identify the issue without a picture. Is this your first time boxing the corners? If yes I suggest that you look up more videos on how to box corners in a bag. It’s a very common technique used in most bags, especially totes and boxy bags etc. perhaps you didn’t open up wide enough? Make sure the fabric isn’t folded up against itself when you sew across. Run your fingers through the section. You would be able to feel a bump if there is. Hope this helps!

    Do you think you could make this in leather for the outer?

    • @SewingSeedsOfLove
      @SewingSeedsOfLove  2 года назад +1

      Yes, only IF the leather is a thinner and softer one. ☺️

    This is Great! How would you make the bag bigger? Would you add around all sides?

    • @SewingSeedsOfLove
      @SewingSeedsOfLove  3 года назад

      Not really, because that would mean a narrower neckline.

      I would suggest making the outside edges longer - to achieve the size you want for storage; also make the “neckline” wider, keeping the strap width the same; and make the straps a bit longer, since they are crossing a longer distance with the “neckline”/bag opening being wider.

      You could enlarge the entire pattern on a photocopier or at your local printers.
