Hi hello my name is Josie too and I'm a filipina currently living in Bahrain. Thank you for visiting my beautiful country I hope you guys enjoyed your time in the Philippines.❤️
Josie, thanks for choosing the Philippines and for featuring it in your channel. Your positive vibes is really amazing and Filipinos will definitely welcome you with the warmest hospitality possible. You gained another subscriber from a Filipino watching from Baghdad, Iraq. Enjoy and keep safe. I, myself, am a fan of coffees and bananas.
I love how you bragging about our country ☺️ now you are part of the Filipinos and I hope you visit the country side of the Philippines to experience the raw side life of Philippines and feel the most real hospitality and kindness of Filipinos people ❤️❤️❤️
You'll probably going to the south of the Philippines to see the beaches and islands but if you ever have the time, try visiting the northern part of the country. I'd recommend the ilocos region, Cordillera (mountainous) region, and batanes which is considered the most beautiful province in the Philippines. They also have islands and beaches there specifically in the Ilocos region. While the Cordillera region is known for its cold climate in a tropical country. You should also try looking up las casas Filipinas de Acuzar in bagac bataan, which is pretty much a town full of hundreds of years old Filipino houses. It's pretty close to manila so it's an easy travel.
I love this! Thank you for these suggestions!!! 😍 we just came from northern Thailand for 6 months and I hardly ever got a beach so I did come here wanting some beach time! But if we can fit in some of those places we can, I’ll try my best! 😁😁😁🙏🏻 Thank you!!
And please visit also mount canlaon if you like mountain trekking or campuestohan in bacolod Foods it's so delicious try betsuylas.(beans with pork or beef in it it's like kare2 buy it's more delicious
Welcome to the Philippines! Definitely on Team Turon, next time you have to have it with Langka (also known as Jackfruit, another fruit wrapped with the banana), hands down the best!!
😂You know the coffee must be good when two Aussies give that reaction. You should travel around the entire country, you're going to love it and your sub count will sky rocket.

Oh my! I left Manila in '89..been here in the US for so long & if I ever go back home to visit, i'd be so lost with all the new buildings & also the crazy traffic. Filipinos are naturally hospitable & friendly. English is our 2nd language & at first you will stand out because you're a foreigner but if they know that you are there to visit, they will help you if you have questions. Go island hopping, taste diff. food from different provinces & have fun. I truly enjoyed your video. Greetings from Orlando, Florida.
Loved this video. I gave been lucky to travel to many places, but not the Philippines. That said, I work with Filipinos in the UK and they are the most friendly and caring people.
I’m glad you are liking the Philippines. Please be extra careful to strangers and put your backpack in front of your body to avoid pickpockets. Also, don’t stay late at night for your safety. Good luck, enjoy and be safe. Oh yes, I love banana fritters (banana Turon). Try halo halo with shaved ice. it’s a good Filipino dessert to try especially on a hot weather.
I loved your video. Thank you guys for visiting our country the Philippines 🇵🇭 thank you for liking our food also. Hope you enjoyed your stay and have fun. Hope you can visit again and explore more nice places.
Welcome to the Philippines! 12 million Filipinos OFWs and immigrants scattered all over the world to support their families and greener pasture. Almost 100 % are following events and developments back home after many years being away from the country. Watch your subscriber jump up to beyond your expectation. I for one is a Filipino immigrant in North America.
On a side note, the banana you ate that was on the Turon and Banana-Q is a variety called Saba. There is a tartness to it so that is why it isn't usually eaten fresh. But when cooked, it becomes sweet. That's why you will usually find that variety of bananas in Filipino cooking and deserts, which both of those things are considered as. The place where you ate at, generally is called turo-turo, literal translation is point-point. Its a type of store where you come in and point at what you want. Also, the thing what you thought was peanut butter, is in fact Bagoong (Shrimp paste) and is the accompany dipping sauce of the Kare-Kare (beef peanut stew). The shrimp paste is salty which gives balance o the sweetness of the Kare-Kare. Typical Filipino foods likes to play around with contrasting flavors. Salt/sweet, Salt/sour, ect. Also as a general rule, a majority of filipino dishes will come with a dipping sauce, its is again there to play around with taste. whether it be soy sauce with kalamansi, or fish sauce, or soy with vinegar, the list goes on.
Nice u've visited the Philippines especially Makati. You can try to visit BGC it's 10-15mins drive away from Makati it's way more modern than Makati it's comparable to any cities in Australia or in the US and also Manila which is the capital of the Philippines so u can check the old parts of the area and see the huge contrast of those cities. Enjoy ur stay here and hope will bump you on the street!
Hello ,welcome to my country Philippines .Thank u for choosing and featuring Philippines to your channel .I'm new subscriber to ur youtube channel .I hope ur are happy to stays here in the Philippines and enjoying to eat of some pilipinos food
Welcome! It's awesome that you get to try good local street food. The one that you mentioned that they have in Thailand, we also have it here. Street vendors on bicycles/motorbikes with side carts selling street food. It just so happened that you're in a more developed area in Manila where they have food trucks. Awesome first impression! Looking forward to more videos.
Its my first time watching you're youtube channel and i love your energy. The appreciation your showing towards our country makes me like you even more. You will love the banana fritts(turon) more if its filled with some strips of jackfruit in it.That will taste a lot better and will surely love it.My fiancee is an Australian too anyway..Keep safe and enjoy ur stay here in Phils.

Lovely couple. Welcome to the Philippines. Hope you enjoy the 7k plus islands we have here. Thank you for visting and promoting and helping our tourism. Love from us. 😊🇵🇭❤️
Welcome to the Philippines... you ought to try the fresh Philippine carabao mango... I think you will enjoy that. It is quite different from the Thai variety too.
@@josieliftsthings Honestly, it should be easy to find but the best mangoes r d ones specifically from Guimaras Island. They r known to be super sweet n juicy that it is illegal to bring other mangoes into Guimaras. U should try fresh mango shake and try ube which is purple yam that we use for dessert. A LOT. Ube ice cream... ube cake... takes a bit like sweet potato. Manam in bgc has good Filipino food if u r still in d area.
Those "foodtrucks" are called Jollijeeps. They serve food we normally have at home at a much cheaper price to office workers in the area as food in restaurants are too pricey for many of us.
Omg!!! I missed Makati, I worked there for 5yrs and I also bought my lunch and snacks on that food truck. The lady who gave u the free banana I saw that there’s a TWIN Banana (they are attached) 😆. I love TURON also. Filipino let’s BLOWWWNNN UP Josie’s page, make it 30K SUBSCRIBERS. Enjoy and tc guys xoxo
Pinays (Filipino Ladies) always say that the best tasting banana is still the Pinoy banana, a bit shorter, but yummy :). Check out BGC for the best modern vibe in Metro Manila. All the best from Team Turon!
Nice to see you guys visiting the Philippines. I also suggest to visit other tourist sites here like the Boracay, El Nido Palawan, Siargao, Cebu..etc. Enjoy your vacation here in our beloved Pearl of Orlean Seas..the Philippines.
@@hillroberts1311 Do you have any idea how much older Bangkok, Hong Kong, KL etc are than Makati? Hong Kong was built up during the 1930s. Makati was mostly built in the 1990s. Where are you even getting this information? Just made it up?
Turon: a special version has jackfruit inside. Kare Kare has peanut butter sauce not curry. The one you smelled is shrimp paste locally known as bagoong. You use it like a wasabi to a sushi. Just a small amount to your kare kare because its salty.
I love banana cue. It's an ultimate Filipino snacks 😋 Fyi: the one you thought was peanut butter is actually a fermented small shrimps. You are supposed to scoop a bit and mix it with your spoonful of kare.kare. Most foreigners don't like it. It has an acquired taste and smell 😊
@@josieliftsthings Karekare is cooked with peanut butter and the shrimp paste is a condiment. Some cook the karekare a little bland and people would dab a little of the salty shrimp paste before eating it with rice. As long as the shrimp paste is not the raw pink kind, you'll find it palatable because it would have been sauteed with coconut milk that has natural sweetness to it. The sauteed kind will have a purplish gray color.
Thanks a lot visiting my country the Philippines..I live in New Zealand but every year back home for holiday..no place like home. Cheers and I hope you enjoy your holiday too.

There are regions in the Philippines where the foods are spicy. The Philippines is an archipelago thus it's cuisines varies defending on what island you are
@16:27 My favorite is kare kare that fermented shrimp paste is just automatically included but not needed to put with the Kate Kate … You should‘be ordered the “Bangus” that’s my favorite fish from Philippines preferably fried Bangus .. try it next time ❤

Josie, thanks for choosing the Philippines and for featuring it in your channel. Your positive vibes is really amazing and Filipinos will definitely welcome you with the warmest hospitality possible.
Thank you!!
Pls Visit City Of Good Life Oroquieta,Province of Misamis Occidental Its More Fun in Philippines
Great suggestions !! Most vloggers don't go to the north.
And please visit also mount canlaon if you like mountain trekking or campuestohan in bacolod
Foods it's so delicious try betsuylas.(beans with pork or beef in it it's like kare2 buy it's more delicious
@@lorenzoantonio3461 ohh bacolod
Welcome to the Philippines! Definitely on Team Turon, next time you have to have it with Langka (also known as Jackfruit, another fruit wrapped with the banana), hands down the best!!
😂You know the coffee must be good when two Aussies give that reaction. You should travel around the entire country, you're going to love it and your sub count will sky rocket.
Hahah I love that! Coffee is life haha thank you for supporting me and my channel! 🙏🏻😁😁

Its really fun to see our neighbors from other countries enjoying our classic street foods and native Filipino dishes... yes Maam I'm for team TURON ...enjoy your journey's and stay safe...God bless you both 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Thank you so much! It would be so different for you!! Thank you for watching 😁😁🙏🏻
Happy birthday 🎂 Milo’s princess 👑 Wishing you a very good health & a happy heart ❤️ and enjoy your journey wherever you go ✈️ 💝
Wow fist time to hear an Australian vlogger with so much energy. I love the way you deliver, so clear and very details like the babana que and turon.

Loved this video. I gave been lucky to travel to many places, but not the Philippines. That said, I work with Filipinos in the UK and they are the most friendly and caring people.
Right!!! So friendly! Hopefully you can get a little feel of it from my videos!! 🥺🥺😂😁
Thank you for looking out for me!! 🙏🏻😁
Psst iba na ang manila huwag muna man ganyanin ang bisita
Yeah its far different from what u used to know... Filipino's are more kind than what others saying, every country has anyways...

Thank you for the suggestions! Hope to see you around!
Hello ,welcome to my country Philippines .Thank u for choosing and featuring Philippines to your channel .I'm new subscriber to ur youtube channel .I hope ur are happy to stays here in the Philippines and enjoying to eat of some pilipinos food

My first impression is that she is not an American which is so right hahaha, I really love her energy 🥰
Hahaha definitely Australian!! 😂😂😍 thank you so much!!! 🙏🏻☺️☺️
I'm a new subscriber, a Filipino in Perth, Western Australia. I am liking your vlogs. The contents are informative and fun, and you have a buzzing energy that is so positive to watch! Keep going mate!
Thank you for subscribing!! And all the way from my home in Australia! It’s been a while since I’ve heard mate!! I miss that 😂😂😂
Lovely couple. Welcome to the Philippines. Hope you enjoy the 7k plus islands we have here. Thank you for visting and promoting and helping our tourism. Love from us. 😊🇵🇭❤️
Thank you so much! Thank you for watching! I love islands I can’t wait to see more! ☺️☺️☺️🙏🏻
Welcome to the Philippines... you ought to try the fresh Philippine carabao mango... I think you will enjoy that. It is quite different from the Thai variety too.
Oh my I LOVE mango! Where can I find this??? 😍😍😍
I'll visit philippines this November just hope I can get beautiful memories. I love to see how nice Filipinos over there. I can't wait to go. 😍
Yay I’m excited for your trip!!!
Thank you for appreciating the Filipino hospitality and the Filipino people are really friendly that's what we can be proud of.
Welcome to the Philippine!! Hope that you will enjoy your stay.
Those "foodtrucks" are called Jollijeeps. They serve food we normally have at home at a much cheaper price to office workers in the area as food in restaurants are too pricey for many of us.
That’s true! The food out of them are sometimes better anyway! I like the name jollijeep 😁
Welcome to the Philippines! 🇵🇭 Enjoy your stay! 💕
THANK YOUUUU!! 😁😁😁
Welcome to the Philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Enjoy our country
Thank you for having me here in the Philippines! ☺️☺️☺️
Love Philippines from Indonesia 🇮🇩🇵🇭🇮🇩🇵🇭
Thank you!!! I did a series in Indonesia too! 😁😁 thank you for watching! 🙏🏻
Welcome to the Philippines! I hope you kids have fun. 🥂🥂🥂
Makati is the FIRST Corporate City in the ASEAN and Asia. The rest followed like Singapore KL Bangkok Jakarta, etc. A vibrant presentation indeed.
This isn't accurate.
Thank you so much! 🥺😁😁
@@kayflip2233 save for Tokyo.
It's an ultimate Filipino snacks 😋
Fyi: the one you thought was peanut butter is actually a fermented small shrimps. You are supposed to scoop a bit and mix it with your spoonful of kare.kare. Most foreigners don't like it. It has an acquired taste and smell 😊
I loved the Turon! Haha! I actually had a whole scoop of the shrimp paste by accident and I think I liked it just not a whole scoop 😂😂
@@josieliftsthings shrimp paste is best partnered with green mangoes. Well atleast that's how we Filipinos like it
@@josieliftsthings Karekare is cooked with peanut butter and the shrimp paste is a condiment. Some cook the karekare a little bland and people would dab a little of the salty shrimp paste before eating it with rice. As long as the shrimp paste is not the raw pink kind, you'll find it palatable because it would have been sauteed with coconut milk that has natural sweetness to it. The sauteed kind will have a purplish gray color.
loving the energy and vibes from the locals 👐
Big time! Lovely people here in The Philippines! So accepting of us Australians 😉😃☺️
Yes! Yes! Yes! I love your energy, girl! Welcome to the Philippines! 🇵🇭

There are regions in the Philippines where the foods are spicy. The Philippines is an archipelago thus it's cuisines varies defending on what island you are
You guys are the cutest 😍 your partner should get more screentime hahaha his reactions are also epic
HAHAHHA he’s going to love you! 😂😂😂
@16:27 My favorite is kare kare that fermented shrimp paste is just automatically included but not needed to put with the Kate Kate … You should‘be ordered the “Bangus” that’s my favorite fish from Philippines preferably fried Bangus .. try it next time ❤
