Nice to have you here in our country Philippines, peoples here are friendly and very hospitable. YOU ARE VERY MUCH WELCOME HERE SIR!.😊🎉🎉❤ Enjoy ur vacation...hope you'll love it.👍🏻👋🤗
I'm so happy that I subscribed to your channel. It's so full of content and is very informative. It's not one of those short 10-20 minute ones where the vlogger sits on her hotel room bed and rants the whole time, critiical of everything. Good Lord! Yours emanates positivity, empathy and respect, but at the same time not ignoring what is reality, but not taking potshots and being armchair critical (as many other Western vloggers do). Yeah, you arrived during rainy season so it's hot and humid, but at times rainy and balmy. November starts to cool everything down. Precisely one of the reasons why we have malls everywhere is because it's airconditioned, so it might be a good idea to dart in and out of these malls for relief fom the heat. Gotta think like the locals, if you know what I mean. Hahaha! Oh, did I tell you that you resemble Jon Stewart? Hehehe, just messing with you, man. Hahaha! Have fun in the Philippines, learn some local words and phrases, eat our great food (it's not pretty like Japanese or Thai, but it's packing much more flavor better than most cuisines). If beloved vlogger Anthony Bourdain says it's really good then it's that good. We Filipinos miss him and may he rest in peace. Btw, when in doubt about how to pronounce a local word or ask/ask a question, don't hesitate to ask a local. They are very helpful and quite touched with a foreigner goes out of his way to learn the vernacular. But you need to write it down, otherwise you will forget. Anyways, make local friends and hey, you might even stay a little longer because of one (or two??). Ya never know, right? Hahaha! Enjoy!!!! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Just a bit of historical trivia: The first person to successfully circumnavigate the world was Juan Sebastián Elcano. He took command of the expedition after Ferdinand Magellan was killed in the Philippines in 1521. Elcano led the remaining crew and the ship, Victoria, back to Spain, completing the journey in September 1522. Magellan is often credited with the first circumnavigation because he initiated and led the expedition, but he did not survive the entire journey. Interestingly, some historians suggest that Enrique of Malacca, Magellan’s enslaved interpreter who spoke a Filipino dialect might have been the first to circumnavigate the globe if he returned to his homeland after Magellan’s death.
@@theprovincialvet6879 I love history. Thanks for that nugget my friend. I know Magellan was killed by a poison arrow only weeks after arriving in Cebu on Mactan Island while assisting a local king

The good thing about the footway bridge is you get to stretch your legs and get the blood flowing by walking to your hotel. We did the walk at night after a direct from Iah to Tokyo, layover and then another four hours to Manila. We were tired and sweaty but it worked out.
Wow! You covered so much already! Yes, the Filipinos are very welcoming, Those street foods that you were checking are very good! That purple egg you saw is very salty. It's duck egg, it's good with onions & tomatoes combined. I've been to that restaurant you saw while you were in the taxi (singing waiters etc...) That was fun! Very good vlog for foreigners planning to visit Philippines > Manila for the first time. You covered a lot of very useful information. Since you've already been to Thailand and Vietnam, Filipino street food won't be a problem for your stomach. Most specially Vietnam. There, sidewalk eateries are something else. They wash their plates and utensils on the side of the street and not much clean water is used. Few scrubs, few dunks, few rinse...another customer uses immediately. You're like the parallel world version of Marshall Butters, an Aussie vlogger. Same vlogging style, very informative and very immersive. He now lives here somewhere in Mindanao. You're pretty fit for your age too. Going on a very long walk with your bags on your shoulders after almost 20 hours of travel, that's speaks volume of your good condition.
