If you're going chain LA then yeah, you could craft a solid quiver with %WED. Slivertongue LA could be better clearpseed, but the safety of voltaxic is really good. The builds would be different too, one phys and the other pure lightning ele.
Very interesting. I was following one of Mathil's guides for a voltaxic LA deadeye, but the new hotness is too tempting! Maybe I will see what I acquire first and let that decide until I can test both against each other for map clearing (my primary goal)
What do you think is going to happen long term in this leagues economy? With an absolute flood of decent to good rares... will it be impossible to make good currency later in the league?
Leveling gear will be cheap and really good, any decent late game gear won't sell at all, the perfect gears will be on mirror tier prices. You will be able to get some profit from Shaper related content (farming) and corrupted essences.
To sum up, the best way to keep yourself healthy in this economy if you're "not lucky enough" is to simply farm, which means losing in quality but winning in quantity after all

in his previous atlas videos, ziggy mentioned that u get possible map drops between all the maps u unlocked and any maps adjacent to the one ur doing(if you haven't unlocked them). so map completion wouldn't stop u from getting low level maps
man upgrading tier 1 essences with 3 to 1 seems WAY easier than finding two-stones, alching three different ones, making sure none of the two-stones are low ilvl, and swapping out rings to get 10% prismatic
the point is you get more value from using the tier 1's then you do from upgrading them. You can do whatever you want though. Also you can set your loot filter to make sure the white rings that drop are a a high enough ilvl so you literally just pick up all white rings and just throw essences into them. Seems simple enough.
Most vendor recipes in PoE were created so you can reuse stuff you don't want/need. Eventually you'll find out their value and won't be able to play without making use of them.
If you use tier 1 essences on lvl 60+ rings and ammy, they are worth 1/3 chaos (as you really only need the rings and ammy for chaos recipe : rest flows as sh**)
What I am not getting is how you only get 1 bad roll using an essence... Mine say that propertie are restricted to level 35. Thats like all rolls are bad arent they?
This early in a league the right selection of even low level mods can be good on jewellery. I regularly find several chaos value jewellery while leveling for example. And the T1 essence use is mainly for recipes like prismatic and chaos/regal recipe. T2-3 can be used on other jewellery with a better chance at decent mods. Most of the good mods on jewellery aren't that high level.
Hey Ziggy, I recently started playing PoE and I noticed by screen is EXTREMELY dark. In some dungeons I literally just have a black screen and move around ONLY using the map. I don't think this is supposed to be normal - do you know how to fix this?
Sounds like a contrast issue. Either monitor or your graphics card settings. You could try playing in windowed fullscreen and see if that helps? Otherwise hit up PoE support.

Played PoE for 700 hours now. I have had exactly *one* exalted orb drop across all leagues, and Ziggy gets one in the first three days of a league. Unbelievable

Man selling in poe is so bad. Aquisition and Procurement dont work anymore, and only way to sell now is to buy premium stash tabs... This is just so nasty....

i like all those seasons, but i don't like that you can't transfer your characters to it. i'm not very active player... if i make a new character every time, i don't achieve anything significant. why don't they make it possible to switch from standard to the season.
Market abuse mostly. People would just get all their rare stuff from standard and flood the new season's markets, ruining the economy completely instead of letting it evolve normally. It'd ruin the game for all the newer players, just getting things as soon as they get a new character made, and there'd be no life to the game. People would just go in, look at the new stuff, go "Neat" then leave until the next season after a few days.
yeah, i can understand that, but why not add the changes in the starndard league as well? i have a couple of characters who haven't even finished the game properly... i will never use them if i want to try every new league. so if i want to try the new changes, i have to reset and start from scratch, reach a certain point of a not finished game, and then new league, and start over again if i want to try the new league.
They've added a lot of features from old leagues actually. Spirits, bloodline mobs, nemesis, and now prophecy. It's quite literally the same as it was in the leagues themselves but less guaranteed and prominent is all. It's not every single one mind you yeah, but there's really only been a few leagues that haven't been made part of it. I will admit though it'd be really nice if there was a sandbox style alongside it. Like for essence, Essence Standard with all the old characters, then Essence casual/hardcore like it is now. It'd definitely be best of both worlds I think.
Exactly. The fact is that PoE is a loot-based RPG, which makes Economy matter A LOT during the gaming experience. And that can be explained by comparing Currency ratio between leagues. Right now, the exalt to chaos ratio might be around 1:45 in softcore Essence league and around 1:85 in softcore Standard league, which may look surprising if you don't realize that everything tends to go to Standard in the end (inflating the economy). There would be no good future for this game if you had to start from the bottom where everything is overpriced. That would be like being in Las Vegas with no money at all. My tip to get rich? Get as many Exalts as possible and save it for the end of the league, without, of course, sacrificing your fun. EDIT: Sorry for those ratios. They're no links to the video. i hate that i have to use a guide offline to learn about recipes in this game. using a website to sell things is annoying but that the recipe thing is by far the worse thing. but i love essence league so far

loving essence league. found a low ilevel 6s 5l and was able to craft a beastly 5l out of it with the essences
same, made my bv lvling lot easier

Any tips on using essences on weapons? I mainly use hatred, wrath and anger to get more dmg on the weapon. Not sure if it is the right thing to do..

turn off shadow quality 'off' and try keeping other stast high

so later on in the league you might be able to create insane jewelery
