Well i hope so because more beginner need to see this stuff, i mean i started playing at the start of breach and i thought i knew everything about the game but now i've seen all his videos and man they're full of rich informations.
You are the first person who actually explained in detail the thought process that goes into planning a tree, and what I should be looking out for, step by step. Thank you so much for this.
@ I got over 1600 hours and believe me the end game grind and seek for more damage, life power specific items ..AND I still do not find it THAT simple. Add to that the particular maps with special mods that MEANS the end of YOU and your grinding habits... but then you get this URGE of CHALLENGE to do it eventhough you got no chance to survive.... and you become stupid again. Then it makes you grind for MORE currencies to get more and better Items..it NEVERS ENDS.
@ Over 1200 hours in and I still havent reached to the very endgame bosses and I have managed to make only about 5 semi viable builds on my own. Then there are people who can make builds that kills the game instances (I'm looking at you OMGItsJousis) >_

I think I've watched all of the how to create a build type guides, and as a new player this is bar none the best. I feel like I can create any kind of build I can imagine using this as a template. Thanks!
Additionally, if you don't mind using 3rd party tools, path of building has a mode where it highlights every node in the tree based on how much of a difference it makes on your stats, so once you have your bare minimum, you can use this to figure out which superfluous nodes are the most efficient
This is the only channel I have found such high quality and can explain everything to a true beginner. Some of these other guys been playing so long they forget to an outsider they sound like they are speaking another language. Thanks for your videos they have helped me so much. I was getting a bit dismayed at playing but now i'm so excited again

Thank you for guide. I have died 50 plus times now with many builds and guides in Hardcore mode at act 5 Chamber of Innocence. Followed your guide with a dual wield Champion and have confidence I can do this with other builds too.
I have over 4k hours put into PoE and EE taught me much of the things I now take for granted. Every once in a while I come back and watch this from start to finish simply because it's so incredibly well done and complete.

After 240 hrs of gameplay, I can safely say, I did not even pass the first stage of the game's tutorial, because that's how I consider my stage for now. You are the only and the first person who brought light to my eyes about many things I did not know about gems and linking and many more. You deserve a big clap and a respectful handshake. very well done guide man. A lot of this was generally known to me, but the detailed analysis helped me in a huge way. Instead of relying on build guides to make anything semi-viable, i feel you have given me the tools to start from scratch and make a build of my own and really understand it on a deeper level.
This helped me a lot with understanding how important a plan is and how to make one - I just downloaded last night and now I don't feel so overwhelmed! I guess it pays to spend a good deal of time reading through the entire tree seeing what is where to help plan the best path.

I assume he means he dies in HC or maybe he just keeps messing up his builds and restarting. It definitely doesn't get boring at all, it's a fantastic game. In Diablo you run the story like 4 times to level to max, in POE you run the story once and you're at the endgame when you hit level 70. very few people level to max (100) but that's not a bad thing. It's not necessary and it takes a lot of time.
Just made my very first build, it's a crit based Wild Strike Inquisitor with dual foils, and it's clearing out content pretty well. This video helped me get a better understanding of what it took to create a build, and therefore I wanted to thank you for creating this video. Without it I would never have been able to make a functioning build on my own.

I've dabbled in PoE several times over the year but never for longer than an Act or two for many different reasons. I'm trying again with 3.0 and finally enjoying it so far, due in no small part to your guides. The beginner's guide was great for getting my feet wet and getting through the first few acts pleasantly while understanding most of the mechanics. Now after watching this I'm insanely excited to try coming up with a build on my own and start another character. The passive tree and gem synergy was always the most daunting part of PoE coming from other ARPGs. Guides like this make you realize it's not as scary as it looks. So many options. I could dick around with these tree calculators for days. Seriously great stuff, thanks!

very helpful and easy to understand guide...i watched videos of your guides on different builds until i stumbled upon this one, which basically is helpful to me since im stucked at trying out different builds from players...i wanna build my own and thus, this one really helps in making one...thank you.
First character i started (complete noob no research either) i accidentally made a pretty good build I played a shadow and my strategy was basically spam blade vortex until everything arround me dies I even figured out support gems and used a spell echo support to make it easier to keep 10 blades spinning to kill stuff quicker I’m still pretty proud of this
My first build was a with with fireball. I used zombies in the early game and still had those nodes at lvl 60. I died 750+ times before I finally beat kitava after revisiting it and completly changing how it works (most notably taking mind over matter to use the ridiculous amount of mana and mana regen I had). Looking back im ashamed of how bad it was but also proud of how far i’ve come since then. I really learned this game the hard way (not even a lootfilter or wiki) and I would NOT reccomend it
