I could only pick out the occasional word similar to Modern English, then suddenly, "that was grim king!"

Very nice to hear and read the translation. It would be great to have the modern English highlighted as the Old Mercian is read so you understand what is being said as I soon lost track. Thanks for posting.

Maybe the word being read could light up in yellow as he reads it. Of course, that's one more layer of effort on his part. :/

If I had a farthing for every Old English poem with a pessimistic but ultimately hopeful message about how all earthly things are fleeting and ultimately pass, with God being the only everlasting thing, the only steadfast thing, I'd have a hapenny, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
