@@alfonsohdezB in what way is dom3 safer? Also dom1 hasn't intercepted a stronger tornado, I'm not sure about 3. Either way, I'd trust my life in TIV2 before Dom3.

The only problem with D3 it's powered by the 6.7 L Ford engine Reed one big suggestion put an exhaust temperature gage on that thing it'll save you a lot of downtime in engine damage I was very disappointed with mine, mine turned into a Cummins
I feel like those doors are a bad idea because let's just say they get blown open then you have the whole aide of the car wide open I instead if it was a single door
On one hand, they work well from sheltering you from rain and hail, but on the other hand, what you just said. I don't think the wind would be able to blow them open, but maybe something like the Titus' doors, where they're still not regular doors but not quite gull wing doors either, or even TIV 2's doors, would be safer in that sense.
Yes, he does. And so do a select other chasers who have vehicles such as these. They have been proven in the winds of high-end EF4 to EF5 tornadoes: completely safe from all but the absolute most violent tornadoes. No, when people see these things in town chasing storms, they're usually met with a combo of excitement and terror. I suggest you watch his show Tornado Chasers, as well as Discovery's Storm Chasers.
A high-end EF5, yeah probably. But Dom 3 can definitely handle EF5 winds, and I'm of the belief that so can Dom 2 if the hood faces backwards rather than forwards so it doesn't get blown off, and maybe (preferably) also make the spikes deeper than just 3-4 inches.
Reed this is so amazing. I love it.
KEEP CHASING!!!
Funny thing he says its outfitted with hydraulics but you can hear the air bags deflate lol
1:36 I know it's a rain curtain, but for a second doesn't it look like an Ef-1? Just think about it :)
yeah it does
Mother Nature: haha you will be decimated by the tornado!!!
Dominator 3: nah
Yea i use to watch it all the time but it sucks Discovery stopped it :(
7 Days later TIV 2 intercepted a strong EF4 Tornado
And in 2015 d3 intercepted the strongest tornado from dominator and tiv reaching winds over 180mph
@@alfonsohdezB D3 is garbage compared to TIV2 though.
@@PinkRoseKiller but d1 and d3 have intercepted stronger tornadoes then with tiv, and the dominator is a lot safer

Originally I thought that dom 1 was a TIV3, lol.
So you used to watch storm chasers but i love the domintor 1,2 and 3
Sean Casey called... he said "hmm.. after NASCAR? Huh?"
Lmao
I need to get that
Gonna have to make one yourself or ask someone to build it for you lol
I plan on making one.

Nice
They will blow away with a bit of gentle wind.
+Jack J he has been inside 200 mile winds. you obviously dont watch him
DOMINATORS! 😍
You don't actually drive these things in tornado country, do you? The roars of laughter will drown out the sound of the tornado. 🤣

The TIV would survive a nuclear blast.
I don't know about that, but I wouldn't put it past it. 😅
the tiv is way better these are just cars covered in armour where the tiv is built from the ground up so yea the tivs way better
The TIV leaks water and takes 10 seconds to deploy.
@@c.t.1699 All tornado tanks leak water but TIV 2 does take under 30 seconds to deploy.
Doms 2 and 3 were both stripped down to the bare parts and rebuilt from the ground up, but yes, TIVs 1 and 2 are still both the stronger vehicles.
A ef5 would chew this up

Dominator 1 withstand a ef4 in 2010 so this could handle so much more
You two should be working together
