@@Minotaur92 It's not JUST a specific team, they died. Three men in a car that got moved and destroyed, quite far by a huge tornado. But it probably has got nothing to do with the show being cancelled.

There's something so endearing about seeing meteorologists getting so excited over seeing a tornado. Just goes to show how they are really just big kids when it comes to the stuff they love!

One of the big takeaways of this episode (and others where they're at Reed's home), is never purchase a house somewhere there's a homeowners' association. It's very creepy and stepfordy.

@celticlass8573 I'd never heard of HOAs until I started seeing videos in my feed about how dictatorial they were. It's quite revealing to see these organizations in a country that bases its whole identity on 'freedom'. If a neighbourhood group in Australia tried to pull the stunts that US HOAs do, they'd be laughed at and become the ridicule of the rest of the neighbourhood.
I've seen stories of HOAs threatening to evict people because of the colour, or sound of their car! Or getting orders to remove trees that 'detract from the ambience of the community'.
Freedom? When your neighbours can dictate the colour of your car and what plants you choose for your yard? I think not.
It's a frat house with a random woman cleaning it. This show is amazing. I can't believe it took me so long to watch it.

Regardless of what Discovery has on their line-up right now, there’s NOTHING like Storm Chasers and they need to bring it back! Look on any of the channels and you won’t find anything of the kind right now. Come on, Discovery channel...give the viewers what we want - THE RETURN OF STORM CHASERS! I will not give up until my all-time favorite show returns! After all, people like me, who would give almost ANYTHING to live a week in the life of a storm chaser, but will (likely) never have the honor...the only way we have to experience this is to live vicariously through others. And if Discovery doesn’t jump on this, realizing people’s love and demand for seeing these awesome storms will never wane, then another network will. Ive always liked Jim Cantore. I remember his “snow lightening” or something that he was just going NUTS about nad it was really cute lol. This was before i knew of Reed tho. Cantore is iconic.

Have you looked up UK tornados they supposedly get a few a year which I find very hard to believe
@@xmissmilkywayx1887 uk has ef-0 only on rarity, usually around the Birmingham Midlands area of the U.K although they do occur elsewhere its never over ef-0
@@tomburgess7781 you get 30-50 a year yet you never hear about them and the area between London and Reading, in Berkshire, has the highest likelihood of a tornado in the UK

i had a friend who was sadly one of the deaths in this storm i miss him every day and i hope that all the family’s that were effected by this storm and i hope there doing well same with mayfield i hope everyone is ok and reed i would pay attention to the weather this December cuz it feel like last year and mayfield got hit so i am just looking out for ppl❤

AHHHH I LOVE YOU REED!! I met you when you came to Missouri and you are really just an inspiration! At the age of 12 I was watching you on storm chasers and I just loved you. Your passion for the power mother nature continues to portray is intoxicating and contagious. You helped me to gain a passion that I have never given up. I am now a teacher and I enjoy teaching my students about the weather early on. 4-5 year olds really enjoy this! Who knew!!
It is absolutely amazing to me that there was an F5 tornado right in their own backyard and they were out of position.
I've always wondered how it would have played out for them chasing that tornado in Moore. Probably one of the biggest "what if" questions in weather history.
Storm chasers prefer to chase tornado in the countryside where its easier to see from a distance compared to a city or suberb where its harder to see a tornado another factor is traffic when a tornado occurs road are close and cars start to pile up preventing to get up-close to the tornado.
In the end no one expected the tornado to be that violent let alone an EF5 and become one of two tornado of 2013 with the latter they where present for.
Still my favorite episode of the series! You bring in Reed, Mike and then Jim Cantore. This to me is absolutely awesome!

@@sirensandrailroadsofoklaho9285 No, they were taking what with any other Tornado would have been a safe route. However, El Reno was a unique animal and it both expanded from a mile to 2.6 and then hook over them at the same time. There were a bunch of chasers that got caught by surprise. They just had slightly better cars and survived though there was one guy ( I forget his name) who was in a truck and he died too.

ikr.. Edit: in into the storm you can hear it’s roping out on air depo road and all and also in real life so it’s definitely based on this edit again: galaxy, I think the dominator 1-3 was based on the TIV ofc but the Titus was actually based on the dominator AND TIV 2 i think!

Damn that look that Reed gave Jim at 22:03 you can notice immediately that he knew it was gonna get bad very fast. That is a scared and worried look. I can’t imagine what he was feeling at that time when he found out about that tornado that was gonna go through heavily populated areas.

Jennifer Frederiksen HOA doesn't care about what they do, they care about EVERYONE in the neighborhood being able to enjoy a quiet morning, and not a yard party/traffic jam on their normally quiet neighborhood streets. You agree to certain things when you buy a house in an area coveered by HOA, and if you can't do that, you should live somewhere else. Doesnt matter if you are a television/youtube sensation. (Btw, I do NOT live in a HOA neighborhood, lol)

Wow, stay safe guys! And I hope everyone is okay! Kinda cool that Gary England is still the meteorologist for Oklahoma! And what’s odd is the camera that is pointed at the tornado is the same one that filmed the 5-2013 tornadoes, and the May 1999 tornado.

The fact the neighbor lady invited herself into reeds home and started cleaning and when she sees jim she’s just facuated with his hands and he just lets her gush over them
impressed by the weathermen's skills of being able to point to a blank screen exactly where they mean like they have an imaginary version pasted over it. Years of practice I guess. You just *know* what part of the screen is where on the greenscreen.
I believe they can see a screen with the graphics on it. If you notice when they’re pointing at things on the graphic, they’re usually looking off to the side. I think each side has a screen showing themselves and the graphic, so it’s just a matter of getting used to knowing where to point on one side and looking at what you’re pointing at on another side. Hopefully that makes sense. ☺️

This is an amazing show. I love the way even the neighbour comes in and looks after Reed. He is a lucky guy to have people love his almost child like joy. He is so focused on his job, which is amazing, I'm so jealous, I would love to have that job. But it's so funny how everyone is doing everything for him, cos they know he is not seeing anything but storms. A great bunch of people who have become a family. Cancelling this show was a bad move. I wish I could have seen it at the time. We don't get much of this kind of tv in the uk xx

I was driving from Arizona to Ohio in my $500 dollar 92 Silverado and I blew out a bearing in Newton, KS, got my truck towed to Meridian Fleet Service and the weather was nuts there, the mechanic let me use his lift and we ended outside watching the tornado out there it was nuts
