Dominator 4, needs a inflatable ring around the bottom, so when the air suspension is at its lowest, the ring would inflate and create a total seal under the truck.
Dominator 4 should have a Cybertruck as a base, it is already heavy and somewhat protected , have more than enough power , all they need to do is add armor, the tech and double the battery size, it would probably cost less than Dominator 3

Red is a blast to watch live on RUclips. while the season itself for major tornados is over its crazy just how intense some of the stuff they get into is. Double Tornados, Crazy flying Debris and the the fact that in the face of violence of mother nature at times he has the knowledge and skills to safely navigate it all.

I just seen this last week twice, it was headed south on i29 toward Sioux Falls and then I seen it again going east on i80 toward Des Moines. What a crazy rig to see going down the road

The F5 tornadoes wind speed was recorded above 300 mph all while the board was so deep in the horses' side! Please respect Mother Nature no F's given None. #yolo but #fafo and you should wear a helmet 🪖 while in the range of a 🌪️🌪️.

My mom’s Yorkie was named Gizmo and lived to 16 years old. Just passed earlier this year. Best dog ever! Also had to ride in front seat. Only difference was he was a boy dog. Missing him all the time.

Reed was on a show called Storm Chasers on the discovery channel and it was a pretty good show because of him. Dude was intercepting tornados in his truck and running circles around a highly funded convoy that had a pretty advanced Radar attached to a truck.
Yeah that was the DOW 6 (doppler on wheels), it belongs to The Center for Severe Weather Research, and is one of 3 truck mounted doppler radar systems they own. They couldn't take the risks that Reed and others could because that is very expensive equipment and I believe they have benefactors to answer to if they were to lose that million dollar equipment. They are affiliated with a University so they don't have the luxury of losing valuable tech and having sponsors that will help replace it.

I hope Reed gave Tiv designer Sean Casey a lot of credit for his creation of TIV 1 & TIV2. Who both were in the Discovery Channel series Storm Chasers 2007-2011. While both Tiv 1 & Dominator were in season 1. Work on Tiv 1 started in 2002 while Dominator was in 2007.
As much as I would like to see that, I don’t think dom 3 could even survive in either of the Moore tornados. But something like Barnsdale (sp?) would be borderline imo

I remember when this was a concept from other tornado chasing vehicles. They couldn't get the support they needed to build it from any government agencies but they got it done and captured so much valuable data dealing with tornadoes. I'm glad rhe team is getting more recognition and I'm wishing more support from government agencies to develop other tornado chasing vehicles. I remember the the movie "Twister"
Think I drove through a tornado earlier this year by accident. Was doing a ubereats and I didn’t realize it went straight into the path of a tornado. It was at night so it was hard to see. Then the wind and rain got so violent I couldn’t see the road I ended up in a ditch. I think that’s what saved me. Then I drove out and got hit by golf ball sized hail, which did more damage than the tornado. Luckily it was an open field of grass because there wasn’t any debris.
Does the Dominator 3 have technology to pickup any frequencies surrounding storm systems? The host of this video has beautiful eyes. Interesting video guys. Gizmo is the cutest.
I think you should plan another trip.. You really need to experience this. Only a handful of people have ever been inside a tornado. The Dominator crew and the TIV crew have the only 2 intercept vehicles that I know of. Once in a lifetime opportunity if you ever get the chance again. Gotta intercept a storm with Reed. I bet it would be an amazing experience
Should've waited to release this video until the new movie "Twisters" comes out because there's a vehicle just like this in the movie. Now idk if they used this truck, or took inspo from it, or had the creator help build it for the movie. But it would've been cool having that movie come out then this video got released

Decades ago, I rode the front passenger seat as the photographer. It was fives days of chasing dozens of cells and getting close to three funnels, but not IN them. The science geeks got a ton of data; I got a ton of pictures (roll film, before digital). After it was over I realized two things: 1. The people that do this, from the lead scientist to the guy that tries to fix what got broke, are on another level from almost everyone else on the planet. They have to be; after all, they try to get close to Mother Nature when she is freaking out. 2. I will NEVER do that again! My underwear just can't take it.
I think its sad looking at the comments how many people just see the spectacle and don’t realize that the majority of our weather data that allows for predictive radar and safety warnings up to 10+ mins in advance come from the people willing to get close to get that data.

It does not. They use the radar stations found around the country. I does have tools for research if they get near, close or even inside a tornado.

@itsLynzi but didn't include him they can't match the first one so I'm gonna pass. I really don't go to theatres either, but it won't be I've I'm dying to see. That's just me. But they should of gotten him to be part of it and kept it real. But they Hollywood all fake is fine with them.

Decades ago, I rode the front passenger seat as the photographer. It was fives days of chasing dozens of cells and getting close to three funnels, but not IN them. The science geeks got a ton of data; I got a ton of pictures (roll film, before digital).
After it was over I realized two things:
1. The people that do this, from the lead scientist to the guy that tries to fix what got broke, are on another level from almost everyone else on the planet. They have to be; after all, they try to get close to Mother Nature when she is freaking out.
2. I will NEVER do that again! My underwear just can't take it.
I think its sad looking at the comments how many people just see the spectacle and don’t realize that the majority of our weather data that allows for predictive radar and safety warnings up to 10+ mins in advance come from the people willing to get close to get that data.
