You've got Konigseggs, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and Ferraris and they are all quite similar. But what can't they do? Drive into a tornado and sit there. So glad you gave Team Dominator a chance to take you on this experience to branch out to different areas of the the motor world!

Dominator 4, needs a inflatable ring around the bottom, so when the air suspension is at its lowest, the ring would inflate and create a total seal under the truck.
Dominator 4 should have a Cybertruck as a base, it is already heavy and somewhat protected , have more than enough power , all they need to do is add armor, the tech and double the battery size, it would probably cost less than Dominator 3

Decades ago, I rode the front passenger seat as the photographer. It was fives days of chasing dozens of cells and getting close to three funnels, but not IN them. The science geeks got a ton of data; I got a ton of pictures (roll film, before digital). After it was over I realized two things: 1. The people that do this, from the lead scientist to the guy that tries to fix what got broke, are on another level from almost everyone else on the planet. They have to be; after all, they try to get close to Mother Nature when she is freaking out. 2. I will NEVER do that again! My underwear just can't take it.
I think its sad looking at the comments how many people just see the spectacle and don’t realize that the majority of our weather data that allows for predictive radar and safety warnings up to 10+ mins in advance come from the people willing to get close to get that data.
Red is a blast to watch live on RUclips. while the season itself for major tornados is over its crazy just how intense some of the stuff they get into is. Double Tornados, Crazy flying Debris and the the fact that in the face of violence of mother nature at times he has the knowledge and skills to safely navigate it all.
I just seen this last week twice, it was headed south on i29 toward Sioux Falls and then I seen it again going east on i80 toward Des Moines. What a crazy rig to see going down the road

My mom’s Yorkie was named Gizmo and lived to 16 years old. Just passed earlier this year. Best dog ever! Also had to ride in front seat. Only difference was he was a boy dog. Missing him all the time.
I remember when this was a concept from other tornado chasing vehicles. They couldn't get the support they needed to build it from any government agencies but they got it done and captured so much valuable data dealing with tornadoes. I'm glad rhe team is getting more recognition and I'm wishing more support from government agencies to develop other tornado chasing vehicles. I remember the the movie "Twister"

I hope Reed gave Tiv designer Sean Casey a lot of credit for his creation of TIV 1 & TIV2. Who both were in the Discovery Channel series Storm Chasers 2007-2011. While both Tiv 1 & Dominator were in season 1. Work on Tiv 1 started in 2002 while Dominator was in 2007.

Think I drove through a tornado earlier this year by accident. Was doing a ubereats and I didn’t realize it went straight into the path of a tornado. It was at night so it was hard to see. Then the wind and rain got so violent I couldn’t see the road I ended up in a ditch. I think that’s what saved me. Then I drove out and got hit by golf ball sized hail, which did more damage than the tornado. Luckily it was an open field of grass because there wasn’t any debris.

Small mistake: tornadoes dont usually last for more than an hour. They do last longer in the US than somewhere like Canada or the UK, but rarely an hour. You also said they have winds between 200-300 mph, so it feels like you're describing the strongest tornadoes, not the average tornado. The average tornado probably won't reach 200 mph. Cool video though.

As much as I would like to see that, I don’t think dom 3 could even survive in either of the Moore tornados. But something like Barnsdale (sp?) would be borderline imo

I work for one of the worlds largest armouring car companies and our R&D for windows moving a few inches was multi millions. the fact that reed put that in shows that $750k being used for good!! Also for any other storm chaser fans was Reed and his team part of that discovery channel show back in the day?
Reed was on a show called Storm Chasers on the discovery channel and it was a pretty good show because of him. Dude was intercepting tornados in his truck and running circles around a highly funded convoy that had a pretty advanced Radar attached to a truck.
Yeah that was the DOW 6 (doppler on wheels), it belongs to The Center for Severe Weather Research, and is one of 3 truck mounted doppler radar systems they own. They couldn't take the risks that Reed and others could because that is very expensive equipment and I believe they have benefactors to answer to if they were to lose that million dollar equipment. They are affiliated with a University so they don't have the luxury of losing valuable tech and having sponsors that will help replace it.
Should've waited to release this video until the new movie "Twisters" comes out because there's a vehicle just like this in the movie. Now idk if they used this truck, or took inspo from it, or had the creator help build it for the movie. But it would've been cool having that movie come out then this video got released

I recently moved to oklahoma. I was aware of tornados being there a lot but i thought the area where i moved had little to no tornados. I have been here for 2 years and already been in 3 tornado warnings, All about 0.4-1.2 miles away from me. Since i have moved i have been really fascinated with storm chasing and it is actually my current dream job Update. The other day i was barely hit by the harrah tornado. It did not hit me directly but hit close and tore off some shingles from my roof

Some things I would like to say: -The majority of tornadoes last 10< minutes, NOT over an hour -About 0.006% of tornadoes are ef5, and in order to be considered an ef5, it has to at least have wind speeds up to 200 mph -(Note- There are ef3s and ef4s known to have 200-300 mph winds, however, it's definitely still under 1% of all tornadoes) -The Dominator 3 weighs closer to 11 thousand pounds -The app they are using to track the storms is called RadarScope If there is anything else that I missed, (I skimmed through the video so it's probably a lot) feel free to tell me

Reed was on a show called Storm Chasers on the discovery channel and it was a pretty good show because of him. Dude was intercepting tornados in his truck and running circles around a highly funded convoy that had a pretty advanced Radar attached to a truck.
Yeah that was the DOW 6 (doppler on wheels), it belongs to The Center for Severe Weather Research, and is one of 3 truck mounted doppler radar systems they own. They couldn't take the risks that Reed and others could because that is very expensive equipment and I believe they have benefactors to answer to if they were to lose that million dollar equipment. They are affiliated with a University so they don't have the luxury of losing valuable tech and having sponsors that will help replace it.

Should've waited to release this video until the new movie "Twisters" comes out because there's a vehicle just like this in the movie. Now idk if they used this truck, or took inspo from it, or had the creator help build it for the movie. But it would've been cool having that movie come out then this video got released
I’m excited to see that movie because I can tell they ripped the whole main character and vehicle off of Reed.

It does not. They use the radar stations found around the country. I does have tools for research if they get near, close or even inside a tornado.

I recently moved to oklahoma. I was aware of tornados being there a lot but i thought the area where i moved had little to no tornados. I have been here for 2 years and already been in 3 tornado warnings, All about 0.4-1.2 miles away from me. Since i have moved i have been really fascinated with storm chasing and it is actually my current dream job
Update. The other day i was barely hit by the harrah tornado. It did not hit me directly but hit close and tore off some shingles from my roof

Some things I would like to say:
-The majority of tornadoes last 10< minutes, NOT over an hour
-About 0.006% of tornadoes are ef5, and in order to be considered an ef5, it has to at least have wind speeds up to 200 mph
-(Note- There are ef3s and ef4s known to have 200-300 mph winds, however, it's definitely still under 1% of all tornadoes)
-The Dominator 3 weighs closer to 11 thousand pounds
-The app they are using to track the storms is called RadarScope

I'm so glad you are kind of being safe.? I've seen firsthand a 2 by 4 stuck in a horse's side while walking around Moore, Oklahoma, May 3rd 1999. The F5 tornadoes wind speed was recorded above 300 mph all while the board was so deep in the horses' side! Please respect Mother Nature no F's given None. #yolo but #fafo and you should wear a helmet 🪖 while in the range of a 🌪️🌪️.
