  • On a quiet morning I decided to take a decent exhaust video to demonstrate the MSD box and its rev limiter characteristics with a carburetor. Pretty entertaining. 318 with 360 police car intake and quadrajet carb, summit 1798 camshaft. (.454 lift and 272 duration.) comp cams 911-16 springs, and patriot headers, with magnaflow mufflers. Car runs mid 14s at 94 mph.

    Very rare anybody put effort into restoring on of those cars and modifying it the way do have you brought it to any car shows

      @RyanUrbanski  2 года назад +2

      Thats for sure. I very rarely see them out on the road here in the wild much anymore. I do take it to shows when I can and the car seems to get a lot good feedback vs even just 4-5 years ago. Its pretty cool to see people start appreciating these.

    Quik question I have a 78 dodge w150 that I am building and it has a la 360 bored .30 over I am wondering if the magnum head swap is worth it?

    • @RyanUrbanski
      @RyanUrbanski  Год назад

      The magnum heads will bring compression up, and flow much better. Youll need lifters that oil through, and hollow pushrods because magnum heads oil through the rocker arms if I remember correctly.
      They have 1.6 ratio rockers vs 1.5, which is good. The only downside is the lack of intake manifold options. There are some good ones, but a little pricey. I personally love the magnum heads for an affordable upgrade. Just match the valve springs to the cam youre running and let er rip!

    Ever seen a car chase from a movie called "short time"?

    • @RyanUrbanski
      @RyanUrbanski  2 года назад +1

      I believe so! Wasn’t that the chase where the man had to “pass away” while on duty so he got into a wild car chase in a red diplomaf?

      @@RyanUrbanski thats the one lol yeah i got a 78' Cordoba. Its basically a pile of rust but its got a 360 in it w/ a 2bbl carb. I love that noise it makes when its consuming a massive amount of air. Its like HAAUUGGHH when you stomp on the gas lol

    • @RyanUrbanski
      @RyanUrbanski  2 года назад

      I think the kit number is SUM-K50052, or the cam itself is SUM-1789. Should have “272” duration and .454 lift. I used comp 911-16 springs I think. Rated for .480 lift.
