Mod author here. So the whole mod is a low key Stephen King reference. I didn't put that in the description just to see if anyone would notice. Rudin, Nort, and Mia are all characters from his dark tower series. Shardik is a 50ft tall bear from the series as well. I just addded him in too for fun i know his placement is completely random 🤣 21:35
Did *not* expect a Richard Adams reference in this mod, but that bear is a reference to Richard Adam's book Shardik. Interestingly, Adams is famous for his pretty gruesome and disturbing story, Watership Down about... brutal rabbit warfare, of all things.
@@viktorsvestka8932 Shardik in the Dark Tower is a reference to Richard Adam’s Shardik. It’s even mentioned as being a reference within Dark Tower itself.
Fyi, this mod is compatible with Boethiah's Bidding Restored. The cut part of the quest that has you assassinate Elisif and Erikur becomes Jarl of Solitude. We need more Boethiah, Vaermina, and Namira style quests. We already have enough for Molag and Dagon.
all these NPCs rambling endlessly and then the player gets to pick 1 single conversation reply IF THERE'S NO CHOICE, THERE'S NO GAMEPLAY. it's cool all these creators want to tell a story, but c'mon. at least present the illusion of impactful decisions.
Yeah, that's the problem with a lotta modern game design in general these days. So many creators that would be better served writing a book or a movie than video game content.
Would have been cool if when you first arrived at Knife Point Ridge, all the bandits were dead or dying. After you defeated Rudin and took the mail, Boethia chides you and demands you prove your worth, resurrecting all the bandits in the dungeon requiring you to fight your way out. I'm not a modder though, so I'm sure that would be difficult to program. Still, a nice alternative to the vanilla quest. Very well done!
I REALLY love that it gives you a way to get this item without having to kill anyone, like you say. The fact that there is a "consequence" for not doing her bidding is such an awesome touch.
But you left out the most important detail about using this mod, it doesn't cost you a follower slot if you're using AFT or another follower mod. This also negates the issue of follower invulnerability that these mods add, which is a problem when attempting to sacrifice them on the pillar. I've run into this issue several times using Housecarls, Immersive Wenches and other Hired Help NPC's in the game. You drag them all the way there, get them snared by the pillar, strike them with the sacrificial blade and...... they don't die or if they do the game doesn't recognize their death, so it's off to find someone else to try. Even if you turn off that mod setting which makes them invulnerable sometimes the game doesn't recognize that either or the mod won't. Also, if you've done Solstheim and got the first Black Book and took the Companion perc, attempting to murder them will not have any effect whatsoever.
Nice way to 100% the game without having to sacrifice Cosnach. Next time i guess there'll be a mod that lets you pacifist the Dark Brotherhood questline by giving Astrid a bloody piece of the targets clothing as "evidence".
I've tried it once before, and I doubt I'd do a full playthrough since it doesn't have English voice acting. It could make for a fun one-off video though

to be fair, a cyborg bear. I started Geeking once I noticed that :)
I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT NAME
Fully voiced, is this all repurposed dialog or is there some voice editing here? It's really smooth but I don't remember a lot of these lines.
OOO,This Look very Awesome I be 100% Playing this mod when I get gaming pc Ty Zero!:)
I love how the mage challenger tries to shame you for not using magic.

It's more of a Dark Tower reference with the Man in Black named R.F. It could also be both.
A brutal movie adaption of Watership Down as well.

The Man in Black and Shardrik, these are definitely referencing King

Exactly. Where are my dialogue options? At what point do I get to role play a character? It is so frustrating.

That is such a good idea!

I thought the dialogue about the bear was from Ralof near the end of the opening, when you fight the bear before leaving the cave to escape Helgen
It is.
This is definitely a mod I'll be grabbing! Thanks for the showcase brother! Fantastic video!
