They have a short where it's being ridden under both throttle and pedal assist modes. It is substantially quieter than the previous generation of pro motor (that's what is on this Cotic)

love reading these novice questions.....lol. For the RECORD, I ride this on motocross trails, with Honda's and Yamahas. It is Awesome!!! I ride everywhere, and in town, it's faster than a car travel. I get almost 50mph with a Carbon Fat tire bike. Clue......get a 5000 watt set up. You can never have enough power, just use it wisely and be safe. love and peace to all.

@@geekane9462 it will not take long to set up, many RUclips videos. Everywhere i go people are always looking at this set up, like it was built by Lamborghini. Because of the fat tire set up you can get soooo low in corners, like a race bike.....and the torque is similar too....except the electric motor whines like the bat bike!......you can do power stands and boil your tires off, while you're waiting for the light to change....lol.
Why is it that the gen 3 say there is a option for 3000 or 5000 but I don’t see 5000 on your site

Couldn't cope with battery mounted on the underside of the down tube water mud, all over it and in the event of a crash ? Would have to be a backpack set for my bike ..
mud all over it????? Maybe you should use a more road worthy electric motor....ohhh. This is the BEST for road or trail, person. Just don't ride person. You don't deserve this Boutique Bike kit. just advice from from a guy riding this kit and riding on motocross trails with Honda's and Yamahas......and yes it's the most envied bike kit in the world with mud on it!
That ground clearance is really trying to convince me. That is a problem on my current conversion. Would like to learn a little more about this motor.

Definitely a niche product for those with deep wallets. Cyc is trying to get 600% profit out of their kit while a 2k kit gives you the same performance
Can you configure the motor using a computer instead of a phone app? Can the phone app be used offline?? (i read in the FAQ it requires login, what if you have no internet??) Unfortunately many kickstarter crowdfundy companies disappear into the abyss and leave behind broken unusable apps and products. Hopefully the motor is not 100% dependent on a phone app, curiously awaiting your response, Thanks.
The Gen 3 kits do not need the app for set up. Set up can be done via the display. The app is only for advanced settings. Since we are swapping to our in-house controllers, this is the platform we will be using for all future generations and products which means that we will continue building on the new app and improving it.
The FAQ is referring to our CYC (BAC) app that is paired with the previous generation kits that have ASI BAC controllers. We will be phasing this out with time but this app will remain available for all CYC users with ASI controllers & will also have updates.

Cyc gen 3. I currently have BBSHD 52v
Hardtail 29ers setup. I get 35 mph continousl full throttle up to 10 minutes riding. Is there a setup with cyc gen 3 that would give me 40 mph with occasional burst speed to 45mph? That won't overheat. continuous throttle?
I really wish someone would put one of those motors on a day 6 bike "if you can find one" cuz I'm not really bad knees and even after moderate I'm just can't move anymore that motor would help so much

What type of chainrings does it use? Are they only available from CYC? What is the cost of a replacement chainring? I don't see them in the shop, where do you get them?
You can use standard 104 bcd chainrings.

I am hoping to attach a trailer full of camping gear, spare battery, food and water for 3 or 4 days and still be able to go uphill on country roads, will the 3000w kit be able to do this? I know this is a bit of guess work on your part, I am prepared to sacrifice hill climbing for top speed.
Can you give me any advice?

how do you know what bracket size you have, and are all the tools to put it on provided?
Measure the width and tools are standard bb wrench fitting and alan head screws

I wanted to get the pro Gen 2 5000 watts and people are saying it's a lot of power and I should go with something not so much power so I bought a bbshd and I had buy a lekkie bling ring and know I just spent more money on it because I updated controller to v2 3300 watts and its still to slow I want more power if I would just bought pro Gen 2 I would of notice upgrade but know the Gen 3 is out So i can BUY cyc pro Gen 3. I want 5000 watts
Is there brake and gear sensors available?
Brake sensors are available directly as an option for the kit however, we do not supply gear shift sensors. You are however, welcome to source gear shift sensors from a 3rd party supplier. Just be sure to check out the pin layouts. Our tech support team can supply you with a pin layout upon request.
do i need to buy special tools i may not have home?
i have x1 stealth and i love it yes its a little noisy but i dont mind, i had a little trouble with the 855bac controller but seem to have it running beautifully now. here is a great video on the x3s and should answer some of your questions i believe there is a 5000w version coming. There are two kits available. The X1 Pro kit is rated at 3000W and the X1 Stealth at 1500W. Let us know if you need any other info.

Say it arrives and it's missing a part? Another 3-4 months, all spring and summer gone? Just called the place I ordered from and started off with "I want to cancel my order." Was told they are getting it from CYC in 3 days. Wow... what a coincidence! I told him I have heard "soon" before. He blamed it on CYC. Probably correctly. One week from today and no tracking number, cancelled. Any BS, it gets contested with VISA. If it actually comes after three solid months, maybe CYC is pushing individuals like you to the back of the line in favor of fulfilling the bulk orders from the resellers. Just a guess.
