Since PP7's Live feature/capabilities, this can just be done through that now! Thank you Renewed Vision! This is a great work around for older versions though.
Yep! You’re absolutely right! We have since completely revamped how we do this, as stated in the description. This was a good temporary solution but these days there are so many better ways to accomplish it.
Alternatively, you could buy an NDI to HDMI/SDI converter (Basically a stand-alone box that would receive the NDI signal from PP) and connect that box directly into the ATEM and do a luminance key just like you're doing now. The beauty of using an alpha key versus a luminance key is that you can add outlines or shadows to the PP lower third template and those would come across via NDI and would make your lower thirds more readable at all times.
Yes, if you used the Ultrastudio Monitor it would work the same way and you would use just 1 SDI input on your switcher. You would of course, however, have to use a luma key (just how you have it set up right now). This works well enough if all you are ever outputting is white text on a solid black background (that's why selecting "black" didn't change anything, by the way - because your graphic has a solid black background), but you'll get pretty jagged looking keys if you try to do things with color or semi-transparent objects in your output. On top of that, you obviously can't ever use black text (you could then switch to a *chroma* key with a solid colored background (i.e., "greenscreen"), but these keys are never 100% perfect and the more complex your graphics, the worse they will look. Even what you're doing now isn't technically perfect, but with the simplicity of your text and the background it should look pretty good. The only way to get a flawless key is with an alpha channel, which is either sent over NDI (which Blackmagic doesn't support) or with key + fill, which takes multiple SDI inputs on your switcher. Now you know why some switchers have so many inputs. :)
Devan, thanks for the video. We started using the Alpha output via NDI from PP7 to our OBS streaming computer. I simply created two scenes in OBS: one with the NDI from PP7 and the output from our ATEM via an UltraStudio HD and one with just the UltaStudio HD input. When I wanted the lower thirds, I would just switch to the scene in OBS with the NDI and it works great. The only issue is it adds some complexity for the tech team. We then went straight into the ATEM via an additional HDMI output from PP7 using a transparent background. This kind of works, but using this method squashed our drop shadow and outline since the ATEM could only do a luma key with this HDMI input. We then switched to a green background and used a chroma key on the AETM and this worked better than the Luma key, however, it wasn't perfect and still required some tweaking to look good. We also could not have any lower third graphics that any green in them. After watching this, we are going the Decklink Duo 2 route and just eat up two SDI inputs on our ATEM. This will give us the cleanest look and make it easier for the tech team to operate. As mentioned, if Blackmagic would add support for NDI on the ATEM, then that could be another easy way to do this without having to purchase the Decklink card while keeping it clean and easy for the tech team to run.
We had a Blackmagic Ultrastudio mini HD connected via thunderbolt 3 on our streaming computer which is how we were getting the ATEM into our streaming computer. What we finally ended up doing was to purchase a Decklink mini recorder 4k to use with the output of the ATEM switcher on another computer and now we use the computer with the thunderbolt 3 and Ultrastudio mini HD to send the key/fill to the ATEM and things are working great.
How many display outputs do you have on your iMac not including your NDI out? if you can add a HDMI port maybe with a Thunderbolt 3 to dual HDMI adapter if your iMac will support an additional display port. If so you can go from your ProPresenter computer to the Blackmagic ATEM via the HDMI to SDI converter. Good luck
Bro I have been trying to do this for a year using my propresenter 5 but always had to cast a shadow over the live to put words up. We are still using one program feed to all my screens. The downstream idea works perfectly without having to spend more money. Thank You.
We are using a PC for ProPresenter, so we don't have the three display limit that Mac has. But our streaming machine is a Mac, so I use the two HDMI output to feed the linear key on the ATEM. I use OBS to grab the NDI from ProPresenter and feed those ports. That also provides a way to send video that isn't in ProPresenter.
We have a similar setup but the lyrics are coming from Proclaim not PP7. I have a lower thirds screen that overlays our camera shot feed in Wirecast (basic edition). It works very well that way. Could you output your active camera shot to PP7 and over lay the lyrics on it in Wirecast?
When you create your NDI screen in PP you can turn on the alpha key then key the NDI over the ATEM video inside Wirecast. That's the set up I run, but instead of Wirecast, I'm using OBS Studio.
@@devanbumsteadin the video it looked like you ran a dongle (with the NDI signal in Wirecast) out of the Macbook to the back of your ATEM to then downstream key the lower thirds. You don't have to do that.
@@camchurch1 you can by using something like BMD Ultra Studio or some other output device. But I wonder why you want to do this? Specially if you're already feeding the switcher to OBS you could create a feedback loop.
This is really helpful @Devan Bumstead. Just one question: I noticed you run Wirecast pro & Atem software on the same MacBook. How are you able to do that? I use a Windows Computer with just one LAN cable port which would only allow me to recieve either NDI from the Propresenter laptop or connect to the blackmagic studio switcher. How did you connect to both NDI & Blackmagic Switcher at the same time on one macbook?
Hey guys, thanks for the ideas. But everything you’ve suggested I also suggested in the video and/or comments section. I’m exploring alternate options if there are any. That being said, my PP to NDI to Wirecast to ATEM (Luna key) did work well, it’s just overkill.
Devan, I just downloaded the wirecast Beta 13.2 and it has LUMAkey as an option for black/white included. No need for the NDI workaround, we just use desktop presenter from our FOH display computer to the mac running wirecast.
I'm looking forward to your update video with the Decklink. Makes sense from your description, and while it is more expensive, it's rock solid vs the NDI I've been using... (Apple TV 4k running NDI app into Atem mini Pro)
Not sure if this was mentioned before, just get a thunderbolt to dual hdmi adapter to solve the issue. The mac sees it as 2 separate outputs. Then just send the lower third feed to the atem
I may upload a video on this... But no wirecast needed. I created a NDI out of pro presenter just like you in lower thirds and installed the NDI plugin supported by OBS and read the NDI in right into OBS as a "layer" on each camera that I wanted the option for. I did not create a new Scene in OBS for it just a source. Very simple and streamlined
Hi Justin, I have done something similar for my church. However I'm finding some delay in the switching. on the Main projector it's fine but the NDI output into OBS with the lower thirds is delayed just a bit. Not a huge issue, but sometimes it causes people watching the stream to miss the first word for that slide. I'm running Propresenter and OBS on same computer so I didn't think there would be any issue with delay. Have you experienced this at all? Any tips? Thanks!
@@EricBBuilds are you using NDI over wifi on either computer? This could cause delays. Out tech booth has each computer wired to the same switch and there's virtually no delay.
Hi there, how were you able to send your full Propresenter output and also a seperate lower thirds output to Atem. Was this 2 different HDMI out from the PC. I am looking to get this setup Thank you for your help in advance.
Yes... Not sure if you already purchased but blackmagic design ultrastudio 4k mini does work

Thank you. What about if we use a computer with 4 outputs? 1 output just to send lyrics to streaming. 1 output to stage screen. And the others to church screens. What do you think?
We are using almost the same thing but... We use ProPresenter 7 on the audience monitor, stage monitor and live stream (trought one SDI cable directly in ATEM - with BlackMagic MicroConverter - Upstream key with Croma Key). In PP we make some Screens: Video and Lyrics (and also some Looks). When we have some beginning video or a presentation, we select screen Video, and the signal on the live stream is on full screen. When the service begins, back to the Lyrics Screen (it's a lower third for the live stream). No delay or troubles, all guud! 👐
Not sure how you are doing live stream, but we pretty much have your exact setup except we have the ATEM program out going to a Black Magic Web Presenter and that's sending the program feed to OBS computer which is Live Streaming to ReStream. I am taking the NDI lower 3rd feed from PP7 to OBS and alpha keying over the master output. The other way to do lower 3rd key only using the PP7 & ATEM is to send lower titles over green background via HDMI to ATEM and use the chroma key function in the ATEM. This allows you to have drop shadows and stuff to help your titles pop when you have white text over light video. Hope that helps.
Set up an NDI source of your main screen and lower thirds from propresenter into OBS then send OBS output into the Atem you can play both full screen and also key out the lower thirds as needed
Currently we are using a Matrox TripleHead2Go. Pro7 goes into triplehead making a 3840 x 1920 screen. In the screen settings on Pro, the main screen will take the first half, and the second screen will take the second half, making each screen 1920 x 1080. Two outputs come from the triple head. One goes to main screen, the other goes to the atem switcher for lower thirds.
@@apostle.ayo.pharez Not different outputs, but different locations... but now that I think about it, we may not even need the triple head 2go with Pro 7... I'll have to test some things out lol
Hey Devan, Were you not able to overlay your lower thirds layer in wire cast? In the setup I just created my workflow is a lower thirds layer being sent NDI from PP7 to OBS. I have the alpha key enabled on the NDI screen output. In OBS I just turn on the NDI input from PP7. Your output from wire cast, to the ATEM, then back to wire cast seemed makes sense if couldn't overlay in wire cast. I know this was before you had your decklink, just curious about your choice of work flow at the time. I'm poking around to see if there are better ways to do what I'm doing.
@Devan Bumstead - I see you mentioned switching to the “Alpha Key” so it sends a key and fill signal to your ATEM. Would like to see an updated video if you have time. I am trying to set it up now and can’t seem to get it working. You mentioned something about the looks, what did you have to change? Did you have to do anything different with your images? I can see the key and fill but they don’t display properly on the program view. Videos don’t get shown correctly.
How about merging the PP7 NDI lower 3rds with ATEM camera outputs into Ecamm Live (cheap) and streaming from there and not from the ATEM? (Bring in the broadcast audio post DAW mixing to Ecamm Live too) Forget Wirecast and save some $$$? If using an ATEM mini pro, give the buttons to the volunteer to switch cams easily.
For sure Caleb...there's a million ways to do things...but only the expensive way is the best haha. I think after all is said and done I'm going to bite the bullet and snag a DeckLink 2 Duo. It's pricey but I think it's what we need long term. You can do a full Alpha key if you have two dedicated inputs as well but I still don't think I'm going to do that. My solution with a single output handling just lower thirds will suffice.
Devan Bumstead to expound on my reply: we have our lyrics computer in our FOH booth along with a separate BM web presenter to act as a video switcher for the lyrics and a static shot of the pulpit. Our production room, in a different part of the building but still close to the worship center includes a separate mixer for broadcast, the video feed is broadcasted on FB and piped to a local TV and radio station. We have the ATEM Switcher and datavideo controller in the production room that controls the four PTZ cameras and the switching. We have our ATEM setup with a DSK coming from the lyric computer upstairs. We are using the the DSK as a PIP overlay over the cams. I will need to look into the different look for the lyrics in PP. I have few things I need to try. Thanks for the video.
I think you are the only one on RUclips asking for a single computer to do it all. I’ve been thinking about this and planning for it for a week or two. We just bought the ATEM TVS HD, and I am now realizing that we need a second computer to run both vmix, Propresenter, and BM software.
Finally, my last suggestion would be to ask Black Magic Design to support NDI in the Software ATEM. I know Newtek is a competitor, but NDI has so much industry support it would make their products so much better.
My current project was a muti-venue + stream venue for our church service. Our main sanctuary is exclusive look to our livestream AND our other venues as well. What I did was utilize OBS Studio, OBS Ninja, Display Capture (which im %1000 looking into the looks thing and maybe just taking an NDI out from the same rig. not sure if you can do NDI through the same computer or if you would get the crazy raindbow throwup ahha) and utilizing monitors. I have an HDM Splitter than runs our stage display that also is running our livestream lyrics. It's high up so it works out well. in OBS you can Color Key ANY Color. Black is easiest and what I use but we could technically do any color with white text. I say this, because i actually like a faint rounded gray box within the text. it really makes the lyrics stand out for older folks and looks nice IMO. All to say, your setup totally works. but i would 1 look into OBS (which does take NDI as well) and OBS NInja which is an open source browser that has like a milisecond delay. If you launch that tell it to share your screen of whatever you want, and then take that broswer source you will be able to show full screen previews lyrics and whatever you want without having to do tons of switchers. my challenge was training on all of this! It would be fun to chat about this if youd want! Connect with me :)
So how do you do the lower thirds for the worship songs but also stream the videos that you may play like our announcement videos to the live stream as well after worship? We are going to be getting a Blackmagic ATEM TV Studio HD Switcher just like what you have. We currently have a PC running ProPresenter 6 but may upgrade it to ProPresenter 7 once we get all our equipment in for Live Stream.
ProPresenter says they supports the Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor ( support.renewedvision.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011598133-ProPresenter-Supported-Blackmagic-devices ) but you might also consider the Bird Dog Studio NDI converter. It is like a Decimator for NDI videos/audio. Create a PP7 screen sending to NDI and use the Studio NDI to receive and convert to SDI as an ATEM input. The Studio NDI is an NDI encoder and decoder and also cross converts SDI / HDMI. A flexible tool and they happen to be on sale now too.
I have a question or two. I’m new to pro presenter, definitely pro presenter 7, which we just upgraded to. We have a similar set up. I know this is for the worship set but was wondering if someone might help me with a message issue. Sometimes we have bullets for a slide and build that in for in house, but it doesn’t seem to work with the lower thirds for streaming. All points come up at once instead of one at a time for one slide. Is there a way for the lower thirds to match the action? Thanks so much.
I noticed that you ended up purchasing a deck link. But I think you could of gotten away with one HDMI feed using the BM Luma Key. Your Lower thirds is pretty self explanatory with the DSK. Then to send a full graphic to the stream, you would set ProPresenter to change the look for the media slide to send full screen to the BM switcher. (Add an action to the media slide that allows the “Media” layer to be visible on that feed.) On the switcher, you would just need to switch to the ProPresenter HDMI feed (you wouldn’t even need to turn off the DSK)
The BEST way is to use an Teranex UltraStudio TB ($500) which has two SDI outputs and will Use propresenters alpha channels. This will give you the cleanest key and overlay, which is important if you want to do opacity or fancy motion graphics. Otherwise, you can use an UltraStudio mini monitor or plain HDMI output from your propresenter PC. What you’d want to do is either 1) output black background (BW keys only) 2) output Chroma Green background. You can set the SCREEN in PP7 to use a green background color (screen setup, top right). That goes directly into the ATEM and you can key that. I’ve set this up with my ATEM mini in testing and it works well. At the church we actually use OBS as the final mix down to live stream which supports NDI. (ATEM studio to Mini recorder to Mac to OBS stream) What are you using to encode the RTMP feed? I thought about making it “wireless” so the PP7 volunteer could do it from somewhere else using NDI birddogs decoders, but you need two. One for alpha key and one for fill. OBS does support decklink program output so I was thinking of getting a cheap Headless PC to do the final comp and send it out to where it needs to go. For dedicated graphics for stream only, does the announcement layer or media layers work from PP7? Just disable them for the projector outputs?
Hi Devan - thanks for the video. I'm trying to figure this out in a hurry in its most simplistic form. In ProPre7, you showed you can create a lower thirds output with black background (or whatever color background you want) in additional to your normal house stuff. (I ask this because I haven't upgraded to PP7 yet and am trying to figure out how to do this...) if you had enough thunderbolt to HDMI adapters and ports on an iMac, couldn't I assign that lower thirds output to one of the display outputs, take that via HDMI over to the ATEM TV Studio, and use that as the downstream key to overlay on the other video sources? So essentially, output to house screens and output to stage display per normal, then take a third screen output to send the lower third? Thanks!
You are correct! The only problem is that my Mac can’t output more than two external displays without a dedicated piece of hardware like the Decklink 2 Duo. I ended up buying the DeckLink and using 2 inputs into the ATEM for a true key and fill setup which gives me perfect transparency on any graphic I make. I believe if I ONLY wanted to display white text or other graphics with limited colors I could use only one input on the ATEM and use a luma key in PP7. But I love PP7. It’s well worth the upgrade!
Devan, How did you get multiple monitors to show up in the preview section? I'm running the Windows version of PP7 and we can't find the option to show more than one preview. I like how you can see your projector, stage, and lower thirds all at the same time.
Stephen Buck This is done by creating a custom Stage “Layout”. Go to Screens/Edit Layouts... then create a new Stage Layout. Click the + icon and select Screen Preview. There you should see all your available outputs. Arrange those in a grid and name that whole Layout “MultiView” or something similar. Next go to Screens/Configure Screens. Create a new Stage screen just as a Placeholder. Name that “MultiView” as well. Next, click Screens at the top menu again and where it says “MultiView” under the Stage section, select the Stage Layout “MultiView”. Then, back at your main window where you see the main screen preview, there’s a dropdown menu where you should now be able to select “MultiView”. Complicated, I know!
I want to add what you are trying to do as well, I have wanted this for a while now. Our current solution is to use the wipe function over the dve keys. We use a box to have the lyrics over video.
@@p0ps79 This is Devan from the church account...yes, we're working on a few things and we hope to actually make the stage display charts available to others as well. Stay tuned!
Devan, we've been running the lyrics and chords on a PP6 stage display but formatting the SD on the PP6 was a pain. I see you have them nicely laid out on the PP7 SD - how did you do that? (Layout in txtedit and paste in maybe? (at least with PP7 you can specify SD font :-) ))
Easier way is to just run 2 separate hdmi from your pro presenter. One to projector and one for lower thirds. That still gives your different templates. Or just one line and do the work on the ATEM control software with one template but u cans only use luma key. And if u want shades behind the lyrics use a mask setting
Could you do a session on how to do single cable deployments - say POE NDI-HX Camera to an ATEM MINI PRO for local live presentation (low latency) and live streaming.
Fareed Khan Hey there! Unfortunately right now I can only do videos on the equipment I have on hand. If anyone wants to see or learn about anything we’re currently doing with the equipment we have, I’d be more than glad to do that!
I'm looking for a similar solution. I had assumed that something like the BlackMagic MiniMonitor would just send an SDI signal with transparency baked in. Sounds like it doesn't :-( What we're doing no (although we are only using one lyric feed) is to use Syphon output from ProPresenter (which supports transparency beautifully), we then use OBS to overlay those graphics on our live stream. Works great, except OBS is just a bit too laggy for IMAG. Really want a solution to do that all in a switcher that doesn't involve luma key because if you have a full screen graphics with black, then the video can peep through.
Transparency needs two channels for key and fill. Keying out a green background on your lower thirds rather than a black background would cause much less of a problem for full screen graphics. Except for your kids announcements where your slides were full of lurid green - they would be completely wrecked ;-)
I actually have been thinking about how to do this same thing at College Heights. I'll let you know if I find a good work around because we are able to borrow stuff from a local rental house to test this type of stuff out. Related to adding separate video content to your stream, if you use OBS then you can just set up extra scenes and load in the video content, so that the videos will play totally separate in the stream. The only issue with this is that you need someone to cue that transition, so it may result in an extra volunteer or a delayed switch.
That’s something we love to do and I’m excited to share about. I likely need to make a separate video for that. But I make custom chord charts for every section of every song and drop them in the “Chord Chart” section of each Slide. Go into the Editor and click the “Slide” option (the middle of the three tabs if my memory serves me correctly) and you’ll see a spot on the bottom where you can load in charts.
Hello Devan. Not sure if you have resolved your issue with displaying to stream . As I was watching your video I remembered of the Matrox Triplehead2go digital SE. this device allows you to do three different outputs from one thunderbolt. Maybe it could help you solving your issue. Here is the link from where you can look at the product. renewedvision.com/store.php?item=detail&id=259
I'm going to try this: All my cameras are SDI so I have all HDMI slots available in my ATEM. I have a puck video card on my PP Mac and 3 outputs are used (monitor, projector, conf monitor) so I was going to try using the 4th screen output via HDMI to input into HDMI 1 of the ATEM for lower thirds.
That should work in theory. You’ll just have to use a luma key in PP. You won’t be able to do any “transparent” sections effectively but if you’re ok with a solid bar with text on it, that should work.
@@devanbumstead I posted a video yesterday of my results in this test and it gives fully transparent overlay and I chose to put a bar at the bottom of the screen for contrast.
Dave Douglas Right on Dave! Looks good! I remember trying that but although the white text comes up great with that method, if you wanted to display full screen graphics or more custom lower thirds content with more colors/transparency, things get weird. I’ll have to do some more tests with that though.
Man, I just spent some time testing a few options out on my machine (trying to get Dante VIA or DVS or just my system audio to get recognized in Wirecast) and nothing worked. It's obviously doable when you have two computers but it seems hard on just one. There may be a way to rout your hardware audio outputs back into the inputs but then you wouldn't be able to monitor things appropriately. I'm at a loss! Seems like there needs to be a solution out there for this. Anyone else know?
Hey Devan, I'm curious if you have already looked at this, a NDI to HDMI Decoder like this one: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1517124-REG/magewell_64100_pro_convert_ndi_to.html. So I saved you and many others some time buy purchasing that unit and trying it out myself. To make a long story short, it works beautifully. It's practically plug and play and the configuring is super intuitive, I didn't even need the owners manual. You lost me when you started luma keying! (Sorry) did you look at EcammLive which can superimpose NDI lower 3rds easily? Btw, how did you format your stage display chord charts? I did that in PP6 and it was an awful lot of work formatting to get the SD right..
I added another output under screenaetup. Then go to alpha tane and enable. Under screen looks .turn off everthing but slides. That's it .if you go back to alpha key and disable it you will have to black box around it so enabled is Transparency
Curious why you're using the ATEM to switch instead of doing it all including GRFX in Wirecast, If it's the Number of Thunderbolt ports for camera inputs you can Use and external Chassie and SDI/HDMI PCI Card.. cheaper and simpler than the 2 systems trying to interface?
I ended up buying a Blackmagic Decklink 2 Duo card to use with ProPresenter. I'm now able to successfully run an Alpha Key in ProPresetner to my ATEM and it works great. The disadvantage with using Wirecast is that you're relying on a computer's processing power to accomplish your tasks and from what I understand the quality is not as high as when you're using a switcher and a dedicated hardware encoder. Using the Living As One encoder also provides automatic scheduling of broadcasts so it's a "set and forget" solution which has worked very well for us recently. Also, the ATEM can be networked and controlled from anywhere on our campus and we have used that feature a lot recently. I'm sure you could develop a solid solution running Wirecast (and many have), we have just chosen to find a solution that's a little more bulletproof and has long-term reliability to it.
Devan Bumstead , Thankyou! this is the info I’ve been looking for! Someone actually using Alpha out of Pro7. We’re scoping the upgrade now for our church.
@@devanbumstead I think this is the best route to go too. Using dedicated hardware for these tasks are much more reliable than a software solution. Thanks for the video. I think I'm trying to accomplish the same thing you are. Really just streamlining and automating our process. Right now we have lower thirds from ProPresenter going to OBS using NDI and it works great for livestream. But we're trying to loop the lower 3rds back into our BM TV studio HD so we have full control of the lower thirds and where they go (program & aux). I was racking my brain on how to do this and found out that renewed vision has some graphic accessories on their site that are apparently able to create additional monitors, via splitting one thunderbolt into two displays (independent) or using a usb adapter for much cheaper than some other video splitters out there. You can see them here: renewedvision.com/store.php?item=dc&cat=graphic_accessories I just purchased the thunderbolt to HDMI adapter for $100 and will try it out this weekend. This will theoretically give me 3 video out signals from iMac.
@@TheBrittp33 It actually didn't work. Apparently you cannot have more than 2 displays going out from iMac using thunderbolt. I've tried one USB to HDMI adapter that didn't work either, although I know it's possible. However, what I'm trying to do is create a fill and key for my lower 3rds and apparently it CANNOT be done via HDMI/Normal monitors out. It needs specific equipment to do so.
You can just mirror the screen you are using to send the lyrics. So that mirrored screen you select the output you want to use. No need to use extra hardware.
I don’t blame you in the slightest. I was confused trying to put it all together! But if you look in my description, I linked to some other videos that are probably more helpful at this point than this one.

Wysmar Clealand Yeah that’s what I’m currently doing ;)
@@devanbumsteadin the video it looked like you ran a dongle (with the NDI signal in Wirecast) out of the Macbook to the back of your ATEM to then downstream key the lower thirds. You don't have to do that.
Are you able to come out of OBS to your switcher? We go from OBS to our stream service.
@@camchurch1 you can by using something like BMD Ultra Studio or some other output device. But I wonder why you want to do this? Specially if you're already feeding the switcher to OBS you could create a feedback loop.
This is really helpful @Devan Bumstead.
Just one question:
I noticed you run Wirecast pro & Atem software on the same MacBook.
I would love to see your method
Hi there, how were you able to send your full Propresenter output and also a seperate lower thirds output to Atem. Was this 2 different HDMI out from the PC. I am looking to get this setup
Thank you for your help in advance.
I think im doing this from pp7 straight to the atem... but with a upstream key. Im still figuring it out as well.
Yes... Not sure if you already purchased but blackmagic design ultrastudio 4k mini does work
Thank you. What about if we use a computer with 4 outputs? 1 output just to send lyrics to streaming. 1 output to stage screen. And the others to church screens. What do you think?
If you are doing that, you are probably on a PC, rather than a Mac. You could probably add another and do both fill and key.
You can use the media and slide layers to route different videos to live and broadcast.
Hi, what you are saying is that PP can send 3 different output via the TripleHeadGo?
@@apostle.ayo.pharez Not different outputs, but different locations... but now that I think about it, we may not even need the triple head 2go with Pro 7... I'll have to test some things out lol
What are the specs on the computer you're using to run Pro7?
Hey Devan,
Were you not able to overlay your lower thirds layer in wire cast?
How you create a Stage Theme with the Chords ?
Yes, How do you do this?
Yes please, I would also like to know how to set chords on stage screen.
Please answer this
Hey all, subscribe to my channel or check back soon. I’m working on a video specifically about that.
We have a similar setup at our church. I feel the frustration in this video.
We currently have a PC running ProPresenter 6 but may upgrade it to ProPresenter 7 once we get all our equipment in for Live Stream.
how to you have the ability to see all of your looks in your preview?
Hi. How did you do words and chords for musicians and words for audience at the same time? Does that words for stage and audience changes together?
I noticed that you ended up purchasing a deck link. But I think you could of gotten away with one HDMI feed using the BM Luma Key.
Your Lower thirds is pretty self explanatory with the DSK. Then to send a full graphic to the stream, you would set ProPresenter to change the look for the media slide to send full screen to the BM switcher. (Add an action to the media slide that allows the “Media” layer to be visible on that feed.) On the switcher, you would just need to switch to the ProPresenter HDMI feed (you wouldn’t even need to turn off the DSK)
Y downstream key vs upstream
Stephen Buck This should help too ruclips.net/video/g73Z0bLEkx0/видео.html
I want to add what you are trying to do as well, I have wanted this for a while now. Our current solution is to use the wipe function over the dve keys. We use a box to have the lyrics over video.
Great video Devan. We manage to do it. Thanks. God Bless You.

Question for you. You're wanting to "delete" the laptop but then what would you use for controlling the ATEM?
You’re right, we now have someone else video directing from another computer.
Easier way is to just run 2 separate hdmi from your pro presenter. One to projector and one for lower thirds. That still gives your different templates. Or just one line and do the work on the ATEM control software with one template but u cans only use luma key. And if u want shades behind the lyrics use a mask setting
For an update on my final solution, see the notes in the description.
How many cameras are you using and how are you switching?
Could you do a session on how to do single cable deployments - say POE NDI-HX Camera to an ATEM MINI PRO for local live presentation (low latency) and live streaming.
Fareed Khan Hey there! Unfortunately right now I can only do videos on the equipment I have on hand. If anyone wants to see or learn about anything we’re currently doing with the equipment we have, I’d be more than glad to do that!
I'm looking for a similar solution. I had assumed that something like the BlackMagic MiniMonitor would just send an SDI signal with transparency baked in. Sounds like it doesn't :-(
What we're doing no (although we are only using one lyric feed) is to use Syphon output from ProPresenter (which supports transparency beautifully), we then use OBS to overlay those graphics on our live stream.
@@goodsampaoli I'll spend some time this weekend exploring luma keys and chroma keys to see what will work best!
The only issue with this is that you need someone to cue that transition, so it may result in an extra volunteer or a delayed switch.
how did you do the chord chart on the stage display?
That’s something we love to do and I’m excited to share about. I likely need to make a separate video for that. But I make custom chord charts for every section of every song and drop them in the “Chord Chart” section of each Slide. Go into the Editor and click the “Slide” option (the middle of the three tabs if my memory serves me correctly) and you’ll see a spot on the bottom where you can load in charts.
@@devanbumstead A video would be awesome, I did it, but want to see how you do it to see if there is an easier way then how I did.

ATEM Streaming Bridge?
I've since completely redesigned our streaming rig. Here's the new layout ruclips.net/video/4YxuCif9SU8/видео.html
Would you know how to get a DAW into wirecast ?
Man, I just spent some time testing a few options out on my machine (trying to get Dante VIA or DVS or just my system audio to get recognized in Wirecast) and nothing worked. It's obviously doable when you have two computers but it seems hard on just one. There may be a way to rout your hardware audio outputs back into the inputs but then you wouldn't be able to monitor things appropriately. I'm at a loss! Seems like there needs to be a solution out there for this. Anyone else know?
@@devanbumstead Have you tried soundflower?

It's practically plug and play and the configuring is super intuitive, I didn't even need the owners manual. hi! how did you set this up? downstream key settings?
You lost me when you started luma keying! (Sorry) did you look at EcammLive which can superimpose NDI lower 3rds easily? Btw, how did you format your stage display chord charts? I did that in PP6 and it was an awful lot of work formatting to get the SD right..
Key means "superimpose". Luma means "remove black or white". So, a lumakey removes either black or white to superimpose one video signal over another.
Guys this is Jesse with Jesus Church. Use a Green Screen as a background and chroma key it out. That way you get transparency too. All you need is a hdmi into your atem. ;)
You can see them here: renewedvision.com/store.php?item=dc&cat=graphic_accessories
I just purchased the thunderbolt to HDMI adapter for $100 and will try it out this weekend. This will theoretically give me 3 video out signals from iMac.
how did this work for you?
@@TheBrittp33 It actually didn't work. Apparently you cannot have more than 2 displays going out from iMac using thunderbolt. I've tried one USB to HDMI adapter that didn't work either, although I know it's possible. However, what I'm trying to do is create a fill and key for my lower 3rds and apparently it CANNOT be done via HDMI/Normal monitors out. It needs specific equipment to do so.
You can just mirror the screen you are using to send the lyrics. So that mirrored screen you select the output you want to use. No need to use extra hardware.
