There was an exact same car as mine parked beside me. With the driver waiting inside, I put my 4yr old son in first, then went over to the driver's side. He rolled down the window and said "sir, wrong car." 😂 I got my son and saw he was chatting up the driver already in those few seconds.

That was when we took a good look at the car, it still looked the same but plate numbers different 😂😂... he pressed the key button, and now we listened and heard his car beeping futher down... we stood there for mins minutes and laughed at ourselves so hard😂😂

Edit: From some of the replies, all I’m getting is that people out there are waaaaaay too damn trusting. You don’t check the license plate, you don’t check the GPS position, you don’t confirm the driver’s name (or conversely the driver doesn’t confirm you’re the correct passenger), you just hop in and hope for the best? Goddamn. You’re all braver than me, that’s for damn sure.

The gag in this scene relies on the assumption that Ubers work exactly like tiding taxis. They don’t.
1. There is a GPS function in the app that would show the passenger where the car is, along with an image and license plate number. The driver’s photo is also included. Also, why didn’t he ask her name? He would have had a name to ask for (eg. “Aren’t you ?”)
2. An Uber would have a sign on the dashboard, the lack of which could make for a much funnier quip to point out the guy’s lack of observational skills. (ie “Do you SEE an Uber sign??”)
The scene is so fucking contrived, we sail past idiot plots (where the plot only loves forward because all the characters are impossibly stupid) to idiot writers since the attempts at humor don’t even make sense because that’s not how anything works at all.
TL;DR: I don’t always focus on realism, but in this case the fact that it’s THAT unrealistic actually fucks up the scene. Instead of trying to enjoy it, I just end up focusing on what they got wrong. They could have still had this scene work if they weren’t so damn lazy, tbh.
