Is It Too Small? - Tissot PRX 35mm Wearing Experience

  • Due to rave reviews of the Tissot PRX, I picked up the 40mm version but found it was too big because of the end links. I picked up the 35mm expecting to hate it, but it turned out being one of the most enjoyable and easy to wear watches I have tried so far.

    Been wearing the 40mm quartz for a year or so now and loving it! Totally agree with how good the bracelet is. If they only had made the original version 38mm I think it would be absolutely perfect.

    We have the same wrist size. The 35mm PRX looks like it wears great! The nature of the case shape lends itself well to a smaller size. Dudes were storming the beaches of Normandy wearing 34mm watches. I think they were perfectly "manly" enough back then. People worrying about small watches on other people need to be less swayed by marketing. 😅

    This basic Tissot design started in the 70s when they released almost exact the same form factor and shape in a trilogy: an LED watch, a LCD watch and a Quartz based, Seastar labeled analogue one. All with the same metal housing which had a somewhat rectangular but still round glass. Love these very much =)
    On the topic of girl watches: I have been wearing a no-doubts-about-it girl small Tissot watch (I am a tall man) and I love it :D

    35mm all the way! Even for my 8 1/4 wrist. The overall proportions of the 35mm are just perfect, and make it a more beautiful piece of jewelery. Independent of wrist size 😊.

Wear whatever size you want most of the times I wear a beat up scratched up 29mm Titanium casio I bought for 2€ from an antiques store and a 46mm Casio digital my grandpa found laying on the street and gave it to me on his deathbed. I contacted tissot and they told me that they are working on more 35mm automatic versions (there is 1 but its the gold one that is around 2k) and will be picking one of those up when they release (apparently after the summer). It will be a nice change for me because the watch I used to wear daily was a 48mm including the case and even after getting most of the links removed it was clearly meant for someone larger as it slid around on my wrist all the time.

  • @jaer.6540
    @jaer.6540 Год назад +6

    The integrated bracelet really exaggerates this watch. The lug width starts at 28mm (on the 40mm)...thats HUGE. I have said this so many times...if they make a 38/37.5mm, this will be the perfect watch and will fit SO MANY more wrists.

    I love the 35mm because it makes the case and wristband stand out more. And those are in my opinion the star of the prx.
    However I prefere it for a classy winter look. Not sure if i'd wear it with a t-shirt and shorts.

    I tried both sizes on my 6.75" wrist. The 40 was too big (due to the end links) and the 35 was just a tad too small. The bracelet is very nice, surprisingly nice for the price. If they made a 37.5 mm PRX, I would get one.

    • @Watchcastage
      @Watchcastage  9 месяцев назад +3

      I agree...37.5 would be awesome! They'll milk the PRX for a few more years and then maybe they'll do another one in that size.

  • @arielargo
    @arielargo Год назад +15

    Totally agree. I also have a 6.5" wrist and happened the same thing. Had the 40mm quartz in black and couldn't stand how big it wears. It felt like a slim G-Shock! It didn't look bad, but was not as versatile as it felt so big. Sold it and still wanted one. Tried the 35mm and it's perfect! Much more versatile size. And it does wear like a 37. The integrated bracelet tells a different story.
    Maybe the 40mm would wear better on a leather or rubber strap.

    35mm to me is 'clearly' too small, and 'maybe' the 40 is a 'hint' too big, but the 40 looks better on your wrist than the the 35. Tissot should have made this watch in a 38mm and eliminated the other two sizes.

  • @mildlymusical4054

    i think the lug to lug is more important than the case diameter , some 40mm watches have thick lug to lug(mainly field watches , wearing boderry voyager, incredible watch though), since prx have a bracelet which looks like integrated to the watch, i think 35mm would do justice to my hands. Thank you for the comparison
