    Excellent review. Most of the other reviews I've seen are photos of this watch under studio lights and they go over the specs. It's refreshing to hear about someone who actually wore the watch under different conditions and how it held up.

    Just picked up this beauty today, love it. Wears well on my 7'' wrist. Love that hue of blue that can only be found on the 35mm quartz.

    Very informative and wonderful review! Thank you for stating that this watch is closer in spirit and style to the Oysterquartz; some reviewers were comparing the PRX to the Royal Oak which was for me not that accurate.

    Great video! Love the background info of the oyster quartz. Now that there’s also an automatic 35mm prx, would you still pick the quartz version?
    Personally I normally gravitate towards mechanical watches, but in this case there’s that connection to quartz watches of the 70s and 80s so quartz might be more authentic…

    Nice video! I like your take on how a smaller, dressy-ish watch on bracelet like this totally works in a lot of situations and doesn't have to scream "TOOL watch."
    Too funny about the green vs blue too. I picked up the green a few weeks ago and loooooove how it's on the edge between green and teal, since the classic pure green of a Rolex Hulk just didn't do it for me. The subtley of it being between two colors is awesome. I even went into the store expecting to pick the blue one as a "safe" choice lol. Your blue looks great.

    deciding between this one now or saving up for the 35mm powermatic, I do like the waffle dial and the anti reflective coating, but idk if its worth twice the price

    Love your video I am a owner of a Tissot PRX 40 205 Quartz Blue Dial and agree 100% this resemblance and looks like a Rolex Oyster Quartz not like everyone says like sheep and parrots AP Royal Oak or Patek P etc. love the info and experience agree the Blue the dial is the best one compared to the silver or black and green dial.
    Keep up the great work 🙂

      Thank you so much for the kudos my friend! I need to try on a 40 mm version but fear it would be too big for me (6.3 inch wrist). I get the 70’s homage with the colors, just don’t like them personally apart from the blue. Thanks for the comment!

    Just received my green 40mm PRX. Have to say that, in the flesh, the green is lovely. It doesn't look blue or teal to me and in the sun, rather than artificial light, it looks a really deep forest green. Love it!
    Also, I have a couple of watches with 100m water resistance, with push pull crowns, and I've swum with them all. These are casio edifices and a Seiko 5 sport. All been extensively swum with, in the sea, pools and lakes, all fine.

    Good review! I had the 40mm version in quartz black dial. It's a great watch but it felt a bit big for my 6.5 inch wrist. It didn't look bad, but I am very courious about trying the 35mm version. I think that for the style type, smaller is better.
    I got it at a great discount from Jomashop, like $245 + tax. CRAZY! Awesome value! But still, the size just turned me off because of the 51mm lug to lug.
    I'm waiting for a sale to get the 35mm or maybe wait for the Powermatic version, which I heard is coming in early 2023. The automatic versions have nicer dials. 👌

    • @jrsnow94
      @jrsnow94  Год назад +2

      Wow, that is a great deal! The dream setup would be a 35 mm powermatic with waffle dial, I hope you heard right! The only downside would be the potential thickness on such a small watch, might make it feel unbalanced.

      I like quartz better for a watch like this. It definitely convenient to be able to pick up any time and not have to wind and set it. Especially with a date window. Also you get the exact same case and bracelet at half the price. Quartz all the way for the 35

    hi! im just seeing this video i own an oysterquartz 17000 blue dial which is 10 bar rated and i believe them, i cant believe tissot having not used a screw down crown and such to be also 10 bar rated it blows my mind i asked the company and they sent me a video on the difference between water proof and water resistant

    do you think dial looks faded in real light conditions on this prx 35 quartx blue? i saw one on a store and seemed to me like it had kind of a coating of sorts that made it look washed out, like a whiteish thing on it

    A screw down crown has nothing to do with the water resistance of a watch. It only serves to prevent the crown from accidentally getting pulled out under water.

  • @The1Perfume

    where is the water resistance test? its rated to 10 bar thats what it needs to be tested to

    jk. thanks for the review. I really want this but the blue tone on the 35mm is way brighter and cheap looking than the blue on the 40mm... wonder if they're just trying to make this more feminine?

    35 mm model of this watch can men wear this?

    • @jrsnow94
      @jrsnow94  Год назад

      Well, I have a 6.3 inch wrist and like the 35 mm size. For a dressy watch like this, I think men can wear it. I personally wouldn’t wear the lighter colors (blue, silver) though. If your wrist is over 6.7 inches then the 40mm would be a good fit, it’s the male end links on the 40 that make it wear big.
