      Biggest myth on the Internet, what people mean is the proportions are trash at best... It doesn't make the watch wear "bigger".... You can't make a 40mm watch look like a 42... The lugs are just too big

    Just bought the PRX 35 in gold. What an amazing timepiece. I have the Grand Seiko SBGW253 for casual and dressy, the Omega PO 39.5 for sporty look, my Timex T80 Pacman on black leather strap for fun. Needed a gold watch to go with my gold accessories and this watch delivers. Not only it is comfortable on the bracelet, but it looks so good in gold. It will go perfectly with my ST Dupont gold dust rollerball pen.
    Everyone should get a watch to go with their accessories.
    Glad I bought the 35mm version since my 6.25" wrist can only accommodate a lug to lug of 45mm and this watch has a distance of 45mm from endlink to endlink.

    I finally did get a PRX quartz 40mm (black dial) a couple days ago. I paid $270 on Joma ($280 black friday price - $10 from a coupon code I found online). I'm so impressed with the watch, especially the quality of the bracelet and the overall fit & finish. The second hand on mine isn't missing any of the markers too badly, which is a nice thing. This watch is quite a bit nicer than it has any right to be at the price.
    About automatic vs. quartz PRX: the quartz is thinner, and thinner is definitely better for the PRX. Also I'm not completely sold on the Powermatic 80 movements. The Powermatic 80 found in the Tissot Gentleman has a familiar pallet fork with entry & exit jewels, but in the PRX's powermatic 80 you get some kind of plastic abomination. The Powermatics are also annoying to regulate and service (you can do both of those things, but you may not want to).

  • @lukewalker1051

    To me the 40mm PRX is too big for your wrist. Appropriate watch size isn't all about dial diameter. The integrated bracelet makes the PRX wear big. The 35 would be better for your wrist size.

    I have both, green dial quartz 40mm and Powermatic 80 rose gold/white dial. Bought the quartz first and it’s fine, certainly sporty and an excellent summer watch. However the rose gold / white dial Powermatic is quite a premium look in comparison. From the slight sheen on the textured face to the framed date window, the Powermatic takes the finish of the quartz version and adds that small amount of enhancement to create premium status. I don’t think buyer can go wrong either way but I encourage prospective buyer to take a close look at both before making decision, especially as a Powermatic PRX can be found around $500 USD. BTW I have a 6.5” wrist and had to try play with links and wear style to get both PRX’s to fit just right. After watching your video I will get the strap, was on the fence but it is an obvious add to the PRX experience.

    • @antman674
      @antman674 Месяц назад

      Just got the 35mm too. I, probably like many people, was worried that the 35mm would be too small and 40mm would definitely be too big. But the 35mm fits my sub 7" wrist perfectly. Really happy with it. And i agree, the quartz movement and smaller size fits better with that 70's vibe while still looking modern and contemporary. Im kinda over the whole automatic craze anyway quite honestly.

  • @darthgiggity7948
    @darthgiggity7948 Год назад +7

    I've been mulling about this and the Seiko Laurel reinterpretation. I would really love to have the PRX but the only reason that's keeping me from getting it is the size dimensions. In my case, the 40mm variant is too big, while the 35mm variant is too small. Tissot should have instead offered a 37-38mm version instead of the default 40mm since they decided on not making the end links articulated which made the lug-to-lug length too long.

    I like both dials but prefer the automatic movement. If you look in the used market you can find a mint auto for the retail price of a quartz. Also I can comfortably say it wears really big, anyone with a sub 7inch wrist should go for the 35mm as it wears/looks like a 38mm (imo). The 40mm wears like a 42-43mm.

      I’m might be crazy but I’m still using both in my rotation. I feel there’s enough difference between the two. The difference maker is the leather strap.

      @@BeyondTheLineProductions Mostly because for an extra $300, you're really only getting a movement and dial change. It's nearly double the price.
      But again, watches themselves aren't logical. All anyone really needs is a Casio IMO. But we buy them because we like them!

    Coming from a Casio edifice 2016 still perfect daily. Just found this PRX and the PRX 80 hard to make a choice for a daily. Price in EU is 400 vs 700 euro. What would you do ? Quartz or 80, even at 700 for a swiss made is a good price but don't want go hard as student. 400 already seems alot and could buy also like armani exchange/Hugo Boss.

    • @DesignAtelier
      @DesignAtelier  Год назад +5

      Never buy an Armani exchange or Hugo boss watch. The quality would not even compare to any casio. Believe me I would rather buy a fossil which is about the same quality as Armani or Hugo but a fossil is an actual proper watch brand. Tissot is even better.

      @@DesignAtelier haha alright then thanks man. Indeed I payed around 80 euro original full set edifice in summer 2016. Since then fell in love more and more as my watch journey began. Now few years later still a dime piece and indeed quality wise better than the non watch brands. Was also sortoff thinking that way. But for now Think will stick to the normal 350/400 euro PRX blue. Would be looking nice in summer. Thanks
