  • A custard pie is not something that is popular in America. It’s mostly seen in Europe. The first time Chef Argenti had a slice of this type of pie was on his first trip to Italy. He ate lunch at the San Remo Yacht Club with a German friend Wolfgang Binder. Chef Argenti thought it was an Italian creation but in fact, it is French and called a Clafoutis. Regardless, it’s cherry season and he thought it would be the perfect offering for this time of the year. Join Chef Argenti as he shows you how to make this very easy but delicious creation from Limousin, France. You’ll be glad you did.

Chef, know you are missed! Your recipes and videos were THE BEST! I do not know why "the algorithm" would not spread the word more widely. I hope you are well.

Hello BigMoose - I'm still here. Working on a new video as I type. I hope it will be ready in a couple of days. There is nothing I can do about that pesky algorithm. :-)

@@ItalianFood Thank you Chef! We are 4 weeks post surgery... it was rough... but we are now able to drive again, and I get to cut grass for about an hour on the tractor. It tuckers me out the next day... but each day is better than the one before! We are thankful to the Good Lord for seeing us through this challenge.
